I hear title in 19.

Hope so. PHX this year just doesn't "feel" like a place we would take the hardware.

Next year San Antonio seems like a better fit.

Edit: wait, you said 19? Meh-nneapolis. Ehh. ATL in 20, Indy in 21 - although that city has been strangely cruel to us.

Better Rocky song- "Eye of the Tiger" or "There's No Easy Way Out"? Closer than most would say, imo.

Sweet 16/Elite 8 weekend in 2014 will go down as one of my all time favorite weekends.

Was chatting with Bernie about it last Saturday regarding the feeling and postgame celebration sending UL home packing after their program, fans and lapdog media turds danced on Cal's grave the month leading up to that game.

Despite the weather, always heard great things about Minneapolis and the Twin Cities.

The downtown/stadium/fan setup is what's most important for big sporting events that you plan a mini vacation around, imo. All these places that have their fancy new stadiums in suburbs 45 min outside of town can GGP -- at least for basketball.

Couldn't care less about how big or new a dome is.

That's right. Mase is a pastor down in Georgia or something.
Word on the skreet is he found Jesus (the first time), to avoid getting murked for real. He then tried to come back like nothing happened and everyone called him corny, so he went back to Jesus.

mashburn and b b d k can confirm or deny

Went to Houston and 2011 and the setup was awful. Reliant or whatever it is now was in total no man's land with no bars and restaurants around.

Dallas was the same way. The most fans we saw in a single place (maybe 100?) outside of the stadium itself was the lobby bar of the Marriott downtown. Just takes away from the overall atmosphere, imo.

Went to Minneapolis for 1996 Midwest Regional Final, where we beat Tim Duncan. Nice downtown, everything is fairly compact, lots of fun places, so that's all good.

Cold as hell though. Went to bed at 3 am, no snow, woke up at 9 and there was over a foot of it. Then almost got iced in on a 1 pm flight.

Late March / early April ain't exactly spring there yet.

Oh, the other crazy thing: the Final Four of college wrestling (Gropin' Four?) was also in Mpls that weekend. Among the locals / restaurants / bars, it overshadowed the Regional in recognition. Overrun with meatheads. Strange place.

Wouldn't mind going back but not anytime outside of June - August.

PHX is that way. Not the best place to have a Final Four.

San Antonio on the other hand - probably the best place ever.

I read that 10 times and I still don't get it.

Edit: 20, now.

Edit(2): Okay, I think I got it. Not all of our titles, but every year that's been the case we've won it.

Grew up visiting cousins in Atlanta every summer. Loved it. The hills, tall pine trees..Now I have no desire to visit. Still have family there but it seems like one big giant suburban sprawl and there's not really a cool urban core like you get in some other big cities.

The Five Points area is really cool and authentic.

Which shot are you giving up this year Chad? You seemed to be loving the fireball again on our recent visit.

Grow up.

2008 SEC Tourney was :fire::fire::fire:. Actually, the only good part was the AA wedding we crashed at the hotel. Nice folks.

Mississippi State/Bama Overtime FTW. ****** postseason SEC Basketball literally saved lives.
