Uh...no. Not even close.

According to an analysis of roll call votes by Voteview, Clinton’s record was more liberal than 70 percent of Democrats in her final term in the Senate. She was more liberal than 85 percent of all members. Her 2008 rival in the Democratic presidential primary, Barack Obama, was nearby with a record more liberal than 82 percent of all members — he was not more liberal than Clinton.

Clinton actually went even further left during her campaign with her views and comments on immigration and abortion.
You mean other than him actually being a democrat, stating several times he's more democrat than republican, donating money to the democratic party, etc?

I actually think Hillary going corporate is her downfall. That, being a completely hatable ***** and a large portion of libs not coming over from Bernie.

Donald Trump is easily the most ignorant, racist, bigoted hate monger we've ever had as President. He berates and ridicules American war heroes, Muslims, the disabled, successful businessmen, politicians, parents of deceased servicemen, hispanics, women, and generally anyone he comes in contact with. He encouraged violence at his pep rallys, and (granted, not invitingly) is endorsed by white supremicist groups. He proposes to round up over ten million people and ship them out of the country, as well as having a religious means test just to enter. Abortion should be punished by law, and the families of accused terrorists can be killed.

Sure, he won the election fair and square. But do you REALLY need to ask why people are protesting/marching/organizing in public?? Surely some of you aren't *that* stupid.

Yep, he is all of that and STILL an infinitely better human being than Hillary Clinton. Im just glad not everyone is a stupid as you and was able to see thru who she is. Although I realize a lot of this is your GYERO schtick after our phone conversation last week.

Trump to me had 2 redeeming qualities:
1. Hes not a lifelong politician. I despise politicians in any form.
2. He owes NOBODY a single thing. He did this with small donors on his own and unlike Hillary wont have to spend the next 4 years paying back favors. He is free and clear.

If Hillary died tomorrow, I would buy a plane ticket to her funeral, go purchase a white tuxedo and a rainbow wig and go to her funeral holding up a sign that said, "Im Glad the ***** is Dead." Trump is a dipshit and all the things you said, but hes still a better person than Hillary. Thats really saying something.

Made my first (and last) political post on FB this morning, and it wasn't even really political deep down...just commenting on the stupid protests and riots. Guess I could have left the word "left" out, probably should have. The entire situation just strikes a nerve with me, the irony is tough to process. I hate protests of all types pretty much, particularly when they involve rioting, flag burning, violence. Guess I'm weird like that. I respect peaceful ones, but those seem to be a unicorns these days.

...oh, and some black gal from HS dropped a lengthy tirade which included calling Obama the n***er antichrist on my thread....o_O #deleted.

-Fence underway. What a relief that will be. Hoping the dogs take to peeing/pooping outside again, but dunno -- they seem pretty comfy with just going wherever they please inside at this point. :flushed:

-Pumped to break out the meat slicer this weekend for some Phillys. Looked into ordering some Amoroso rolls from Philly, but someone had the great idea online in a Cheesesteak Forum of picking up a Jimmy John's roll for .99, and that it's about as close as you can come. I'm down with that. Have contemplated picking one of those up for home use many times, just never done it. That bread is GOAT.

-Pumped for another home weekend. Serious travel/Lexington fatigue at this point...which happens around this time every year.

Cool enough for the Smoked Chili? Maybe.

-Jacked for CBB starting as well, love the matchups that these early tournaments & events provide early on. Seems like it gets better every year, too.

KU -5? On it.

-SAE was the original J Palumbo hater, but seems Richie has taken over full steam ahead.

-Still like you Chad. Not sure if I love you anymore, but life happens.

~Unless fracking becomes such a problem that it can no longer be tolerated at the level it is now, those coal jobs aren't coming back en masse. There may be some easing on restrictions and I can see green subsidies being dramatically curtailed, but as long as gas is as cheap to produce as it is now, the market will move away from coal and toward natural gas.

Trump is saying this...not the coal industry. I think our goal is to create some stability in the market (resulting in improved pricing) and stop the hemorrhaging of job losses. Cheap gas is definitely driving a switch from coal, but the Clean Power Plan lingering in the distance was making a lot of energy companies really quick to convert their power plants over to gas. With that (likely) off the table, coal can be much more competitive.

It's not a cure to coal's ails, but it's a pretty damn big band-aid.

-Like the Cats against the spread but not to win. Think last weeks kick in the balls will still be resonating and removing Hurd is addition by subtraction.

-This virus has been brutal. Still lingering. After not visiting a doc for 4 years this is 3rd sickness of the year. 2nd kick my *** sickness.

-Humana, will lose 373 million this year on ACA patients because (DRUMROLL) "patients who have signed up through the ACA exchanges have been sicker than expected and that their health insurance premiums have not been enough to cover the patients’ medical costs, in part because younger, healthier Americans have declined to buy insurance."

With that being said they post a 43% increase in profit last quarter(450M). Hey I'm all for businesses making profitt, but can it with Joe HVAC Tech having diabetees as the reason our policy got smoked again. Gotta make up those losses somewhere.

-Trump is a despicable person. Not because of what he said, because he said those things and he doesn't really believe them. His whole candidacy was a reality TV show catering to whatever got a response. Complete mockery of our country. Now, at least do what you said and get rid of ObamaCare, or at least gut it, and lower taxes.

-I like both Gabriel and SKJ right now. Both offer completely different options. If you need stability and calmness go SKJ, if you need energy go Gabriel.

-I love that we're being played down a bunch. I'll take that. We're going to drop a few before Xmas and I'm cool with that. Just be a nasty beast by about mid Feb and don't screw us too bad on seeding.

-We all crushed whoever said, "Mulder is the key to the season." I'm not saying he's the key but we're going to need him in that Kyle Wiltjer 2012 mode.

I didn't say he was key to the season I said if he can come off the bench and give us some reliable outside shooting then look out. Obviously the dude is very athletic and has a good looking stroke he just needs to get over the Carriersyndrome.

For the 99% of people participating last night -- you don't have to agree, but I'm not sure why you wouldn't support their right, or understand why they were there. For the 1% that were burning flags, and destroying property -- no, I absolutely do not support that.

Of course they have the right to protest. I also have the right to point out how stupid they act and look, almost without exception.

.

They are a business They are not going to subsidize loss leaders in individual and small group Thats why the carriers are pulling out of some markets. The fact they are able to underwrite large groups and make a profit has no bearing on their pricing in the other markets.

K. Them losing 323M has no bearing on anything. Gotcha. Safe to say I understand what a business is. Everyone's premiums are going up by double digits, carriers are dropping ACA coverage everywhere, they're losing money hand over fist on these people, yet it doesn't affect our increase?

Jen Palumbo is obviously AWFUL.

Last year my sister and I through a friend scored tix behind the UK bench for the Florida game. She was a few seats over and gave us the stink eye when we arrived like.. "Who are these people in such and such's seats". Touch you, toots.

Then she proceeds to make a giant scene as everyone who walks in from the lockeroom area to their seats stopping everyone like she's The First Lady of UK Basketball and welcome to her party. Can't stand her.

To add to CC's list, as it impacts my world of Higher Education:

This administration will not likely maintain the current level of funding for the Office of Civil Rights. So there will be less government focus on sexual assault cases on campus (though the media focus and advocate focus will continue). Its taking on average almost 3 years and in many cases over 4 years for the OCR to resolve title ix cases- and no way this new admin will consider that effective or worthwhile. With hundreds of pending cases to be heard- thats quite a logjam.

Funding probably wont change much at all. Federal funding of higher education is fairly limited now so there isnt as much to cut back on (feel free to read my book if you want more details [smoke]) Unless there is a different loan structure proposed, there wont be much change. I do believe there will be increased initiatives at the community college level to provide more work force training. If his goal was to create jobs and increase domestic manufacturing- that is the place to focus. Some states have already done this already on their own with great success. But a federal push would be a nice bump. And if im being honest with myself, a more realistic approach to college education than any free college plan that was being proposed. We need to get away from the notion that only 4 year education is socially acceptable. Skilled labor combined with 2 year degrees with jobs waiting and limited debt is a fine way for young folks to begin a life.

Liberal Academia. By and large, they will double down. While some folks "in the real world" have basically continued on with their lives, gone to work without indecent, had dinner ready for their family at the end of the day, some professors are cancelling classes and refusing to accept any of the results- and then you have students doing the same. The good ones, even being disappointed in the outcome themselves will hopefully use opportunities to have civil discussions on campus. You also have to recognize that there are plenty of conservative students- and their joy in the outcome shouldnt be seen as a slap in anyones face.

It appears the entire "Heavyweights" film is also on youtube for anyone that doesnt have netflix.

I've been doing a lot of respected professional white male mansplaining to my English major girl cousins on FB. I did reference my AP US History background scholarship and former position as the Secretary of the Junior Statesman of America, but I held off on referring to those bona fides as the basis of my "position of knowledge."

Getting your reps in on the Paddock/GYERO really sets you up to slaughter people on FB. Mercy. I feel like lawnmower man.

Like I said yesterday, we really don't know what we're getting. All we have is campaign rhetoric, and we all know what that is worth. The logistics of accomplishing some of the things Trump mentioned are impractical. Hell, he even said "everything is negotiable." Total Muslim ban? Won't happen. A 1200-mile long wall across the southern border that Mexico's going to pay for? Won't happen. Full repeal of Obamacare? I would be shocked if that happens. It would do more harm than good. There may be significant revisions to it, but I don't see a full repeal happening. Loading up and shipping illegal immigrants back? Come on. I don't how you would even begin to do something like that. There are other campaign promises that would be just as difficult to follow through on, but those are a few of the more high profile ones. Trump is not king-elect. Yes, he has a Republican Congress to work with, but they're certainly not his biggest supporters. To think that they would just rubber-stamp anything he sends their way is naive.

Truth is, the vast majority of these protesters are entitled, knee-jerk, whiny brats who are butt-hurt because their candidate lost. It's that simple. They're yelping about all of these social issues, but if they would take a step back and take a deep breath, they would see that Trump is anything but a social/religious conservative. True, evangelicals overwhelmingly supported Trump, but that was the lesser of two evils in their minds. They had no choice. Trump is probably the most socially liberal of any of the Republican candidates. He's not interested in overturning the legalization of gay marriage, or restricting women's rights, or anything like that. Even if he was, it would be so low on his priority list that he'd never get around to it. Trump said what he needed to say to get elected, just like every politician in the history of mankind. I think even he knows half of what he said was unrealistic. People just need to calm down and educate themselves on the guy before freaking out and burning flags.

I've always thought Trump has a little bit of Cal in him. Just spout off some crazy **** and make random off the wall proposals to get everyone talking, knowing full well it'll never happen.

"We're gonna build a yuge wall and make Mexico pay for it!"

"We're gonna go to China and revolutionize the game of basketball! 1.4 billion people?! What?!"

I just hope we keep our foot on the accelerator. 10 point lead grows to 20 and 30.

Nothing worse than having a 90 point team reverting to 60-70 point basketball in a tournament game. Do what you do and make people adjust to you, not the opposite.

Everyone called ******** on Saban not knowing it was Election Day. Saban is such a maniac that he might have actually been telling the truth on that.

Guy's had his wife make him the exact same salad for lunch for YEARS because he doesn't want the "distraction" of deciding what he wants to eat. Not realizing it's Election Day is not that outlandish for him.

Whatever, anth. I'm giddy over the team, I'm giddy every year, actually.

I just don't need your hand on my *** all season when I don't say something that sucks off the program or aligns with your homer views.
