MattJones if you are reading...

Someone that works for me has a son that plays basketball and has decided to transfer.. How would his father go about getting in contact with someone within the program to gauge an interest level?

Not saying UK would be interested but he's definitely a high D1 player.

Why would a Ski/Sky lift have restraints? You load on and off while the thing is still moving.

Guess Derrick Willis can get pumped. ESPN 3 star player from Bullitt County.

Besides, he lives downtown and not the beautiful side of Louisville...the south side.

Dude, he's the PERFECT hire. Look up "Vandy Guy" in the dictionary and there's a pic of Bryce Drew. He'll probably show up for his introduction in duck boots, Bama bangs and a Patagonia fleece. On top of that, he's a very good coach and will basically be looking to recruit a dozen guys just like him.

Great hire.

I was hoping Capel would leave Duke for somewhere. Allegedly he's been instrumental in their recruiting renaissance.

Bernie - I know some people in the AD at Murray State if he is looking to get closer to home and Bigger schools aren't interested.

Also know the AD at Wichita State, which Sutton would seem perfect for.

Skylift was awesome. My boys had been wanting to do it all weekend and it was right across the street from our hotel so we just went for it. Initially it was just going to be and my boys (6,4) but I think my wife decided that the prospect of riding a park bench hanging by a steel cord running up the side of a mountain was a safer bet than walking the streets of gatlinburg alone with our daughter in the dark. So we all went for it, me and our oldest in one chair and her with the younger two in the one behind. We got about 40 feet from the base when my wife started to absolutely panic. Kept asking me if my chair was shaking, if the noises were normal, etc etc. then the damn thing stopped completely for about 90 seconds and I legit thought she was going to end her life because of the fear. Once we got to the top she begged the carnies that run that thing to drive her back to the hotel, knowing full well they would probably assault her in some way, but again I think that was worth the risk to her. It took probably 30m to convince her to just ride it back down. She cried the whole night and she told me I ruined the trip. It was pretty dope.

Lol, People are going to know about this kid without your help Chief.. he was MVP of the Big South tourney and played well vs Nova in the Dance.

Imagine Rothstein will be pimping him by day's end. (props to Bernie for the early scoop tho)

-Trier returning for Zona? Pretty huge news for them.

I'll let him know but he's already gotten interest from one big school.
It's interesting hearing about the recruiting process with all the go betweens and hypothetical scenarios coaches give to parents.

I know. Just offering some help.

Didn't realize my buddy I played adult league hoops with was now an AD, with an interim tag. He played with Jeremy Story btw.

I bet @august-west knows him also.

Thought the Tran was a helluva lot more scary than the Lift. The Tran goes for miles, the lift, for minutes. So did you stay at the Comfort Inn, Days Inn, Clarion,or Best Western ? We always go cabins, but have wanted to rent right on the strip to people watch. You know, people scared out of their minds getting off the Lift.
