Jackson has PG type skills, thought he was pretty unselfish...played like a point forward out there much of the game. Shot has improved a bunch. What a stud.

He'll be fine with Izzo. He & Bridges are one helluva wing tandem that's for sure.

-Terrible "I'm above everyone out here" vibe from Tatum, perfect fit at Duke.

-Was impressed with Monk's passing, too. He's much more than just some athletic freak obviously...usually those are a mess at many other facets of the game, at least at that age -- not him, not even close. Complete game (defense remains to be seen, but I'm sure Cal will put those tools to good use)

-Fox looks so tall out there. Hard to remember he's 6'4 when watching his tapes the way he flies around out there.

Watched the first half, which is about all I can handle of those type games. Plus, the mixtape breakdowns of every player's best 4-5 plays last about 3 minutes, easy to catch up on.

-Taking my first day of the year off tomorrow (I think). Yard work ATKOT. Home to myself. It's whatever.

-I haven't listened to the new SS album in its entirety either but the presence of a steel guitar (which I worship) makes it difficult for me to believe it's a heavy metal album.

I definitely like what's out already. I'm a sucker for horns and love his "In Bloom" cover.

-Took last weekend off from abusive drinking and, like clockwork, I'm ready to get drunk again. I can go 10 days without the need. That's it.

-Haven't had a crispie since the IU game, though. Nicorette lozenges are pretty dope, actually. Hope to keep that up. Figure I don't need my little girl to see her Dad die early of lung cancer tbh.

-I don't have a BGE, rather a pretty normal gas grill. Short of me buying a BGE, can anyone share their wodie tips for grilling chicken? I've certainly improved, but damn it if I don't admit to wanting to be better at it.

-Billions is fantastic. More than perhaps anyone Paul Giamatti is the actor I'd most like to meet. Think we could become friends and all of that, candidly.

-I am happy for Tommy and wish him well, but SAE Casino is still placing the odds of him ringing in 2017 with Nebraska employment at 6/1. Smell test.

-Feel like I have broken up with UK football, and it sucks. Sparingly reading any practice reports. Not believing any of the seasonal "progress" claims that I have seen. Stoops, a man I was ALL IN on feels like a complete stranger. My only hope is that, true to form, they would turn the corner the year I had finally given up, but then I look at the schedule and realize how silly that is. Oh well. It was fun (some years).

Same. It's sad.

The main key to grilling chicken is to realize there is more to a chicken than a pack of breasts. They have their place, but a chicken breast is pretty much a chicken breast.

A spatchcock full chicken is nearly fail-proof, or buy a pack of thighs/quarters.

If you have a gas grill, pick up a $100 Weber, they're unreal. Produce the same quality food as a BGE on most basic cooks (chicken, pork, etc) -- Plus, if gives you a reason to be outside longer, and the food tastes much better.

-Happy for Tommy as well. Just find it weird that some HUGE issue in Nebraska plucked some weirdo from a NC community college, brought him to a place/issue he's clueless about, then within 3 weeks have given him reigns of the campaign for half the state. Interesting, if nothing else...

-Billions reviews seem unanimously good, we cut off our yearly Showtime trial after 'The Affair'.

BBDK nailed it. I do 3-4 roasted chicken breasts in the oven on Sunday for lunches but if I'm grilling chicken it's like thighs, wings or a whole bird. If you only like white meat at least get bone in/skin on breast. I'd also at least spring for a good ol' Weber Kettle and learn charcoal. That's the easiest way to up your game to respectable.

How are people listening to the new SS album? They have only released two songs yet, it doesn't come out on itunes until April 15.

Billions is excellent, way better than Vinyl, which has been kinda disappointing, tbh.

Krazy, I treat sales just like woman. Dem hoes aint loyal. They will sell you out over $100. Do not take it personal, at the end of the day, the dude has a bottom line to meet. He is just trying to make as much profit as possible, saving $300 just puts more money in HIS pocket.

Trust me, you'd WORSHIP having a Weber (or charcoal grill/smoker) in your backyard as much as you romanticize about being back there in the spring/summer, sipping collides, (formerly) enjoying a crispie or two, listening to some tunes.

The smells alone are worth it, will make your yard work that much more enjoyable with some stuff smoking on there for your reward. Enjoy.

Here is Monk's replacement the following year.

Good to be in with his coach.

As a coach, Doss has known Calipari since his Memphis days — calls him a friend — and first met UK assistant Kenny Payne back when he was a high school standout in Mississippi.

“So it’s kind of a family bond there,” Doss said. “My wife loves him to death. She adores Coach Cal. And I’ve always loved their program. Even when I was growing up as a teenager, I was a big Kentucky fan.”

I agree. I am also picking up on some inherent smugness to the Weber kettle which is appealing.

(Standing around some *******'s billowing Big Green Egg)

SAE: Big Green Egg Man, huh?

Some *******: Yea, this thing has been awesome. Made pizzas on it the other night, actually! They were fantastic, and really fun. The kids loved it. Don't you have one?

SAE: Actually man, I have the classic Weber kettle. I find it produces the same quality food as a Big Green Egg on most basic cooks (chicken, pork, etc). Plus, it gives me a reason to be outside longer, and the food tastes much better.

Honestly kinda flabbergasted SAE has a gas grill, no Weber.

I mean you think you know a guy off the internet...

I have both...and still use both, fwiw.

The Egg is unreal, but don't let anyone tell you it's the only way to grill/smoke great food. It can do a few things the Weber can't as far as reaching crazy temps...and is much more efficient at holding them -- but for 90% of things, the result is the same if the operator knows what they are doing. :100points:

-I was stubborn as hell about converting to charcoal, but you realize how silly you were once you do. You can have your coals ready in 10-15 minutes, so the whole "convenience" factor really is bunk, imo.

I run a 3 grill system right now. 2 Eggs, one recently poached from Anth while he was at work, and a Weber 4 burner natural gas. Trying to eliminate the need for a kitchen altogether.

Fair, but to be honest I don't care about the "sale" as much as the using my references that saved him over a 1000 and then cut me out for 300.

Even told him it is no biggie and played Red Fox while he joked and told the secretary to grab the violin.

Of course he asked for more references and at this point that free advice is over. It just didn't sit right with me but I'm over it today as I work through 6 more blueprints for my loyal guys.

-Kinda what I was thinking, Chase.

If your relationship/service wasn't good enough to overcome a $300 difference on an account of that size then you're either terrible or dealing with a real POS dbag.

Move on, imo. (although he'll be right back to you next time you can save him a hundo. I cut ties with those types, even if it may cost me)

gas grills are great for speeding up the grilling process so you can get your *** back inside and deal wth the family while the wife cuts up a fruit salad or some dumb

charcoal grills unfortunately "require" you to stay outside might as well have a beer or two while "warming up"

convenience is in the eye of the beaten down dad, I guess

Thursday Randoms:

- Officially over the loss and the end of basketball season. Optimistic about Spring and the weather. Been playing country music. Excited about Keeneland, trips to Atlanta and San Francisco, and some concerts at Riverbend. It's a good feeling.

- Hit up Hofbrashaus with the fam last night. Sat outside in the biergarten. I'm not a huge fan, but my dad absolutely loves that place- it's his favorite, mostly the beer, but the food and atmosphere as well. Tell you what- I'm a lucky dude. My sister married a great guy who loves beer and sports. Fits right in with our family (despite the fact he's the oddest of ducks- loves UK football, doesn't like UK basketball). My family loves my girl and vice versa. And I can't say enough good things about her family.

- This new commercial with the Tupac voice-over has me thinking about how absurd I find it as an adult that we're supposed to take wisdom from some guy who died because of some silly feud with a gangbanger (who is also now dead). It's the same reason I can't enjoy "Gangland." These people are supposed to be cool and wise? #adult

Finding Tupac to be wise is akin to these hens sharing Marilyn Monroe quotes on Facebook. "Hey Ashley Marie- love that inspirational quote you posted from that 4x-divorced housewrecking pillhead. She really had it figured out!"

- You just can't beat the GOLD basketball uniform. Old school Michigan. The Lakers. The Warriors. Sharp.

- Sure would be nice to have Ulis in to train these freshman guards. Wonder if Briscoe is up to the task. Will be nice having a senior Hawkins, as well.

- Willis needs to be on that floor next year. Somebody tell Cal.

- SKJ is a little more put together than given credit for. He's not some spindly kid like Skal or Henson.

- Hitting up a benefit for the Special Olympics on Saturday through the lass's work, because if there's one thing white people love, it's drinking in the name of charity.

It's for a good cause.

- How was the second season of The Affair?

- Forgot just how good drum sticks are when it comes to chicken.

Krazykats that dude is clearly using you to buy down the competitors offer. It's his job to do that as much as its yours to sell.

Ultimately you've got to stand your ground, call him on it, and let him know you're in this to do business, not to be a quote machine. But that being said, you've got to be in a position to tell him to F off (when you literally don't need his business in order to win), and not in a position of desperation (which you probably are, and he can sense from a mile away).

wcc- looks like you forgot to mention how excited you are for Reds Opening Day

Had a chance for $70 tickets 10 rows up and turned them down. I've never been more down on baseball.

I have a **** ton to do Monday anyway.

2nd season of The Affair was awesome -- worship that show.

Speaking of worship, Bloodline is back in May. :fire::fire::fire:

How good can Bloodline be (SPOILER ALERT) without the star of the show? He was the engine.

Drumsticks are seriously undervalued. Great piece of meat.

1. Tender
2. Breast
3. Leg
4. Wing

That's the list. If you say otherwise you are a poor or identify with their eating habits in attempt to be cool and hip.

-Cricket and Willy, learn reading comprehension. The quiz says it's asking for FBS(1-A) schools, hence no St. John's or Evansville. Hoops only for those places.

No ****? I guess that's why I posted that very thing a half hour before your post.

Devin Booker pops up on a new 'list' of legends every week, it seems. Being the youngest player in the league helps, but damn, he's well on his way..

There have been 7 players in NBA history to score 900+ points as a teenager:

LeBron James
Kobe Bryant
Carmelo Anthony
Kevin Durant
Tracy McGrady
Dwight Howard
Devin Booker

lol. Not bad company to begin your career with.

Yep, lassies don't know the difference.

Sorry, I can't walk the dog, prep the sides, or help clean the kitchen right now, have to stand beside this grill to make sure the food doesn't catch on fire, that's why I have this spritzer here, very dangerous situation...see you in a few hours.

This lassie knows.

When are you going to propose?

-Regarding chicken, it will come as no surprise to you all, but I like chicken breasts the best best. I will eat thighs, but I get weirded out by any gristle, fat, etc.

-Rain, rain, go away.
