Am I the only one who has always thought the Julius Randle is a little off. I mean I get why he thinks he has onions after hitting that shot to win last night, but seriously, he's playing for the worst Lakers team. There's not a lot to brag about.

I don't think he's off at all, just a young kid having fun living his dream. HOWEVAH, I never really connected with him like I did some other UK freshman stars.

Aaron Harrison will always have a special place in our hearts, but he and his brother were as much a nuisance as anything else. Don't mind saying it -- they sucked. Particularly Andrew, who somehow shot like 27% for his career. Competely inexplicable how they could be so marginal. F off.

The hate on the Harrisons is ridiculous.

Bottom line...

2 Final Fours, 67-12 Overall Record, National Runner-Up, SEC Championship, 3 Game Winning NCAA Shots

Aaron - Points 979 Assists 129 Rebounds 218 Steals 86
Andrew - Points 798 Assists 298 Rebounds 213 Steals 61

But yeah, eff those guys.

That may be more of my issue with him, @wcc31 . Definitely never felt the same connection and never really felt like he connected with his teammates even. Maybe it was his blackhole act that caused part of it.

The tournament is a cruel ***** when you are the favorite. That's all I have to say about that.

So, on to next season...assuming Briscoe does return, does he run point and Monk and Fox work as the 2/3? He did a nice job being a defensive stopper and adapting to playing off of Tyler this past season, but the dude is a point guard.

The Harrisons were the starting backcourt of teams that went to back-to-back Final Fours.

I ain't mad at them.

Plus, "Man, touch Andrew Wiggins" was ahead of its time.

The thought of krazykats putting his foot down and demanding to be treated like a "partner" is , by the way.

I'd tell your desperate wannabe salesman *** to get pumped swiftly. Hell, you're not even pitching me, and I'll tell you anyways. GET PUMPED.

[laughing]

Thought you might be sick or something. Don't confuse my posting inability for my ability to be a business resource!

I doubt you'd ever pull the trigger on anything in my business anyway since your penny pinching *** would end up at dents and dings consignment or lowe's and wondering why no one knows anything.

Still, great advice you cheap prick!

If anything, a year like this year makes me appreciate he and Terrence Jones more. Those dudes were physical beasts for us inside.

I don't get your take on him not connecting with teammates, though. He seemed really close to the Harrisons in particular. I think you're off on that one.

I'd say he will have the same exact type role as last year and will not run the point besides filling in for Fox. Monk can roll the 2,3 but i have a hard time seeing Fox as anything other than a point guard.

Re: Job

It was kind of random falling into this job...but not completely random. I have a Poli Sci degree and have done work on campaigns for R.J. Reynolds, so I have experience in the vice sector of politics. Also worked on Bush's two campaigns.

Never expected to be promoted so fast here though. However, I have been absolutely CRUSHING it. Just manage the Lincoln day-to-day operation, though. Not controlling the campaign for half the state.

Might not stay in Nebraska, but if this gets on the ballot...the owner said I can pretty much have my pick of offices around the country to lead. The Raleigh office piques my interest. But yeah, already been offered a perm position in Lincoln whether this passes or not. We'll see.

Ulis may be the greatest PG in UK History, but Andrew's numbers aren't that far behind for such a mediocre player...

Minutes 2261 Points 798 Assists 298 Rebounds 213 Steals 61 FG 37 FT 78
Minutes 2169 Points 815 Assists 381 Rebounds 172 Steals 81 FG 43 FT 84

I've seen fox play for 11 seconds and I trust him more than briscoe. Briscoe is liggins. Shut down the oppositions best scorer, hit the rare 3, clap your hands and dog cuss the other team. That's all he needs to worry about. Maybe spend the summer watching old don rickles tapes. Let fox worry about the rest
I guess Briscoe would be Liggins if he were 3 or 4 inches taller and a swing man.

Briscoe's handle is crazy good, he consistently drove through traffic this year with people sitting and waiting on him, kept his dribble alive and got to the rim or found others. Good decision maker as well, if you discount the two long 2's he took a game.

His only avenue to the league is as a point guard, not a 6'3" swingman. Deferring to Ulis is one thing, it will be interesting if he does the same with Fox. My guess is, if he comes back, he mans the point for a good portion of the time (I'm not saying he starts there) because Cal wants him to showcase that skill.

And I'm cool with that btw.

Nobody in GYERO cherry-picks facts or statistics to support his argument better than '73. And there's some damn good people at that in this bunch. But '73 is the best. Or maybe he just does it the most. I don't know. I think what I'm getting at is '73 sucks.

Liggins was a pg who played the 3 because he couldn't shoot and UK always had better options at the 1 and 2. He's taller than Briscoe, yes but briscoe is stronger and probably more athletic. And it's not like he's small or anything. I think he would best served in a similar role. Let Fox create offensively and run the plays.

-how does one quantify crushing it in the lobbying industry?

-UK lost to Wisconsin because they only shot 5 three pointers in the whole game.

-Wife is going on spring break without me. Starts on Saturday. :cool2:

How do you crush it as a lobbyist anyway? You mean you're getting a bunch of political figures hammered regularly and getting them handjobs at the strip club? You're lining their pockets and getting them tickets to exclusive events so they'll vote to legalize gambling?

WARNING - WISCONSIN GAME POST

I think the game was such a devastating blow a lot of us have tried to block it out from our memories.

But:

1) Tyler Ulis running away with 1st Team All America honors, SEC POY, Def POY, etc.

2) Booker lighting up the NBA 2nd half of the season looking the part of perennial All-Star

3) Towns lol'ing the ROY award from start to finish (and garnering whispers of HOF upside in the process)

4) Lyles/WCS playing well

5) Harrisons being complete non-factors at NBA level

6) Shitting down our leg with a late lead and having consecutive shot clock violations in OMGZ WINNING TIME against Honk U (Ulis on the bench only playing 17 effing minutes)

.... is contributing to some extreme, delayed redass w/ Cal. It effed me up something awful and I'm still in a fog. Honestly was never 100% locked in with the 2016 bunch because of it, IMO. Biggest UK loss of my life and will never get over it. Cal better thank transcendent talent AD and the consummate college forward MKG for 2012 because there would have been severe riots after that effing game had he not built up some equity for #8.

IDGAF I'm gonna post about this game from time to time, too. So get over it in advance - thanks.

Valid points, Geese.

Hindsight is always 20/20 and it's apples to oranges comparing what these kids do a year older in a NBA game that compliments their offensive skillset.

That being said we should have been better offensively in 14-15 and generated more possessions.

Still think you're a little extreme with your overall anger towards Cal sans the Wisconsin game.

Let's face it. The dude is flat mediocre. He better thank his lucky stars he's been to 4 Final Fours in 7 years, won a title, constructed one of the best teams in the last 30 yrs in 11-12, had a runner up starting five fng freshmen and won more games than any other coach in the last 7 years or we'd all be out with our pitchforks.
