Is the white, bearded, pg lumberjack kid for SFA actually a Yeti? I'm not sure I've seen a specimen like him before.

Dude is one of the stranger NCAA tournament participants ever. Huge beard, hipster haircut, reddish hair, built like a linebacker, and plays PG.
[laughing]
He may indeed be the most unique PG of all time.
Have a safe flight Huggy!
No wonder Kansas keeps winning the big 12.
Mountaineers have just quit down the stretch. Even fat Huggy won't stand up on the sideline. Thing of beauty, really.
Half of my Final Four didn't make it out of the first round. That's an all timer.

WELP. Whoever survives the top half of the East is going to the final four. Beat IU, Beat UNC, and let's keep doing what we do.
Ok, I can now put the brown water away, enjoy the rest of the evening, and start preparing for tomorrow. Gat dayum I love March Madness!
Same guy bought Michigan State and West Virginia in our Calcutta. $2500 donation. Thanks!
That Walkup dude is new Whiteboy Basketball King. Also West Virginia is garbage.
Umm yeah, Nate Silver probably IS fatguy87. The guy is the most prominent numbers guy out there, from sports to elections. Probably where fatguy even got his own argument from....
Find ONE human being, repeat, human being, that thinks Coppin St/SC is a bigger upset than MTSU/Sparty.

So Michigan St. is the best team to ever lose in the first round. That constitutes as biggest upset for me, I don't care how bad Norfolk St was.
It's basically the same **** we always joke about on here. SEC teams are **** in the tournament. Certain programs are absolutely ill equipped for expectations and post season success. Look at the past champions for the last forty years. Where are your Missouri's and South Carolina's? Not listed. Michigan State wasn't a Duke either who had been gifted a 2 Seed when their resume screamed 4 Seed. Hell, they should have been the 1 Seed over Virginia. Numbers don't tell the whole story. There's intangibles.
This was an elite program, perennial March winner, a future HOF coach, a consensus first team All-American senior PG and the second favorite to win the GD thing. This wasn't on anyone's radar. MSU doesn't always perform up to seed, but they're not the program that has a history of dropping this game. South Carolina and Missouri are footnotes to history. Trivia answers. Michigan State is a juggernaut. And that's the difference.

Based purely on national, statistical, historical credibility, it's hard to side with that nobody Nate Silver idiot over Blue Ball de Knoct.
Team Wodie. Keep the za.

For me the MSU upset was so big it was almost surreal. Like is it actually over? Some how MSU was going to hit a 7 pt shot to end it or something. Strange.
At least MSU played hard the entire game. A few of the bigger name teams got down early and were bitching at each other or just didn't seem to care. I'm looking at you Cal & WVU
Michigan St. had Tom Izzo. Missouri and South Carolina had Frank Haith and Eddie Fogler.
Michigan St. had Costello and Valentine. Missouri had Marcus Denmon and Phil Pressey and South Carolina had BJ McKie.
You could run back those tournaments 100 times and South Carolina and Missouri might win it twice between them. Run back this tournament one hundred times and Michigan St. probably wins it 10-15 times.

It's the biggest upset ever b/c it happened this year. Everything now >>>>> everything then.
If you honestly think Missouri was a bigger upset than Michigan State, go ahead and state so publicly and unequivocally, so I can freely disregard all of your basketball takes in the future. If you think that, you may understand numbers, but you don't understand college basketball.
You people are spending way too much time concerning yourself with the losing team, and not nearly enough on the victor. The difference is that MTSU is a competent, halfway decent team, whereas Coppin State was absolutely terrible. Just awful. Literally one of the handful of worst teams in Division 1.
At any rate, too much idiotic groupthink going on here. And someone let that clown Nate Silver know his algorithm is WAY off. Clearly he doesn't read GYERO. Dipshit.

You're just mad because MTSU >>>>> Michigan State >>>>> Larry Bird State
How is your wife's family holding up? 2004 sucked for us but that was a second round game and even though we were 1 overall we had a big inside weakness.
