Indiana's best wins away from Assembly Hall were against Michigan and Iowa.

Lost to Wake Forest, UNLV, Duke, Wisconsin, Penn St., Michigan St., and Michigan away from Home.

Hawkins has been as good as anyone at piercing into the lane from the wing...especially against the zone. And he's been doing that, in his limited opportunities, since day 1 here.

I love that move.

In high school he lived from the free throw line to the charge circle. He'd just pull up for a runner and he'd jump so much higher than his defender that it was damned near automatic.

Hawkins looks weird to me. He has the face/head/build of a wiry 6'8 college PF, but is 6'0 lol.

Dude can always fall back on being a Dental Model if hoops doesn't work out. Top 5 all time UK bright smile...up there with DA imo.

Hawkins looks like he's hovering on that pull-up more than just jumping. Seems like he just hangs there for a tic longer than you'd expect.

Realize Poythress is playing well, but I'm a little disturbed it's taking us so long to get Willis involved in the game these days, especially since Coach himself admitted his insertion was THE key to us turning the corner late in the season. We looked like total poop to open last night, nobody could hit ANYTHING outside of Skal, yet he didn't get in til when, the 10 minute mark?

Was happy to see him knock a few down late to keep building that confidence, though.

-Funny how the 1000 point club went from being a HUGE deal once upon a time....to something pretty much every decent 4 year player could/would achieve, then back to being tough again b/c nobody stays around long enough to reach it, and if they do, that means they aren't very good.

^ when I was a kid I tracked our guys on their quest to 1000 points like a Wildman.

With all the layups he's missed over the years, he's a LOCK to stop at 998 or 999.

At least he'll have the excuse that he only played 3 years, unlike Prickett who came up 2 shy despite playing a full 4 plus I think he played a few games his redshirt year. I could be wrong. But it has to be painful to be stuck on 998, considering all of the missed layups. Poor Jared.

I really think Willis is the one guy right now that needs to get rest for his legs. Or at least thats what im telling myself as to why he didnt get the call earlier in the game.

Going to assume he's still not really close to full strength. Also he's probably already told Cal about transferring.

The one good thing about the bracket screwjob is that it reminds me how much I genuinely detest the IU fanbase. The fact that I have to be reminded - because they've been basically irrelevant for 20+ years - might have humbled a more knowledgeable bunch... but no. They're clueless, as evidenced by that gem posted recently about how they have the edge over us at nearly every position.

Bring out the werepecker and they can keep the 'za or we can buy it for them, urinate on it and force-feed it to them. Cats by 15+ because F 'em, that's why.

My prediction for tomorrow:

Fightin' Richie's put an *** whoopin on the Hoosiers. Cats fans head to Hoots with a smile on for some ice cold frosties, IU fans head to the Little Ceasars drive through looking like the MJ crying meme.

So we have people debating whether or not to lay up and stay fresh for tomorrow, but only one person actually talking bout going to the game.

Cawood doing his best to ruin it.

-I love UK Travel, all of it -- but the 1st Round at home is more desirable, imo. That's a lot of money to spend to watch us (most years) trounce some 15-16 seed, followed by another 'decent' 8/9 matchup, which while scary, rarely turn out to be for us.

A great location would help, but Des Moines? No thanks.

-Bugs me that Malachi is usually pronounced Mal-uh-Kye, and not Malah-chee. Not nearly as cool sounding, imo.

It'll be a close game. Lock. These types always are.

On that SEC Network show where they break down games, play everything in slow motion and set to music (I forget what it's called), a couple things stood out to me about the A&M game:

#1, Cal told his team early on that the game would be close the whole time. He was right, of course, but it suggested a mindset that they shouldn't expect to run away with it.

#2, he said in the huddle late in the game "6 more minutes. Hold on for 6 more minutes." That's pretty much in keeping with one of the big gripes about his "take the air out of the ball with a small lead late in the game" philosophy. That's especially dangerous against good offensive teams (e.g., Wisconsin) and I hope it doesn't happen tomorrow.

Sweep the leg, Johnny.

^ Hope Briscoe will have his fair share of minutes shadowing Yogi. Have to love the swagger that Ulis/Murray/Briscoe have ---> will take guarding Yogi as a personal challenge.

Wildcat Willy and Buckeye Marge have paid.

For the record, I told her to pay for my bracket not to fill one out for herself. She will be punished.

A loss to Indiana in the NCAAT is almost as bad as a loss to Louisville in the NCAAT. [sick]

With that said, WE'RE NOT LOSING THIS GAME!!!!!
Indiana fans may be the only group of people on the earth who are less tolerable than Louisville fans. I don't live in the area but I would rather Louisville take our collective manhood at center court than lose another game to Indiana.

They still think the last time we played they beat us.
