Everyone is going to talk about matchups and how they work. Analyze players and how they've performed and all I can think of is the fact that Cal has been fantastic in the tournament while Roy and Crean have not (of late). This same UNC team lost to Grayson Allen and a Plumlee (that's literally all they had) a few short weeks ago. Roy Williams was better off feigning vertigo into a flaming pile of dog **** than attempting to "coach" in the second half.

And I'm pretty sure they got it right when talking IU/UK. They are going to take this thing way too personally and try to "outplay" us. Particularly Yogi. That will play right into Ulis' hands.

Can't wait for every person I speak to in the next two weeks asking "OMG WHO ARE YOU GOING TO ROOT FOR?" like they're the first person to ask that and they're going to catch me saying the wrong thing.

So the Chairman's justification for giving A&M the 3 over Kentucky is that Kentucky has some losses over teams that "aren't even in the field."

A&M lost to Arizona State, Arkansas, South Carolina, Alabama, and LSU. So, 5 of their 8 losses came against teams not even in the field.

If you can't justify your actions, it's because you're incompetent.

Virginia- who they gave a one to over Michigan State- has FOUR losses to non-tournament teams.[eyeroll]

Regardless of what happens in Tournament, the transformation of this team was pretty damn impressive. When you look at obviously what they lost from last year and the failed Skal experiment- still winning the SEC regular season and tournament is something I didnt think was possible a couple months ago.

Still I am a bit surprised some national guys are picking us to make a run... Ulis is going to be good every night and Murray may shoot us to some wins- but for a team that just allows way too many easy baskets and struggles to rebound- every game would be a grind and its tough to imagine the ball bounces our way for 4 wins in a row to get to Houston.

Gut reaction:

-Teams I have faith in/trust:
UNC
MSU
Kansas
UK
Purdue
WVU
Oklahoma
Miami
TAMU

No faith:
Rest of Big Ten
Nova
Xavier

- Wichita St/Vandy winner could easily make a run. KenPom 12th?? for WSU. Vandy has pros.

- We may very well end up playing UTC.

- The Committee just threw **** against the wall. Not just talking about our seed, matchups, etc; but listening to the chairman attempt to justify decisions was hilarious.

- For all the talk of parity this year, the cream of the crop really separated itself the last few weeks. The good teams have been playing at a fairly high level, but the middle of the pack (seeds 5-12) is complete ****. It will be absolute chaos early, then the Cinderella's will get this **** pushed in. IMO.

- Dakich is going to be unbearable this week.

- Edit: where Louisville at?

- I'm getting crazy with my bracket. This entire season has been pointing toward a wacko March so why be a *****. UK, Michigan State, Arizona, A&M.

- Speaking of...amazes me the lack of sack these analysts have when picking their brackets. All chalk. All the time.

- So, I guess the committee no longer takes injuries into account, but they do give you a break if your coach is suspended 9 games for cheating.

- Murray at 20.1p. Ulis at 17.2p, 7.2a.

- Makes me irate getting F'd every year, but with these screwjobs come great opportunity. I enjoyed knocking UNC out in '11 so much. Same with knocking out IU in '12 and Louisville in '14. How much fun would it be to further enrage the Hoosiers and then again the next round with bandwagon dickbags like UKO?

- Plus, Pittsburgh John Calipari loves playing the "Us against the world" angle. He's at his best when he feels he's been slighted.

- Indiana isn't going to hurt us inside. So, glad we avoided a team like Purdue in R2.

- As far as Carolina, I have to give them credit, they're playing really well. Their bigs could hurt us. That said, I think Ulis could carve them up much like he did against Kansas.

- The WEST is wiiiiiiide open...just like it is every damn year.

- Let's toss it up.

please please please Cal, don't try and win close tourney games rolling with Lee & Alex as our inside guys down the stretch. the team transformed when Willis started playing, and he is why we eventually won yesterday. frustrating that it took Alex fouling out for that change to happen though.

good article about online bracket contests, ESPN & CBS are ripoffs

Just seeing the way Ulis played the last two days has to give you confidence as a UK fan.

That Georgia win was way more impressive than it seemed. They were hitting everything and UK held steady, showed they have a chin.

Then, yesterday, Ulis was amazing and Willis/Murray were clutch as hell.

As a :basketball:, I've been wanting to see Ulis/Ferrell get after each other all year.

As a UK fan, I've been wanting a piece of UNC all year. F those guys.

Willis will get the minutes when it matters. TAMU was a tough matchup for him defensively and his ankle still isn't 100%. Think Cal was trying to get him rest when he could afford it.

What do you guys think about A&M? I have loved their roster all year. No clue how they lost 5 straight. With that said, how many times have I loved an SEC roster and watched them bow out embarrassingly in the tourney?

But how many teams have 3 wings like they do? I love Caruso. So smart. Great defender. Jones is a punk *****, but he's a true SF and has a good shot. House looks like LeBron's son and is one of the better scorers in basketball.

I don't love Collins at the point, but I do love Davis inside. Poor man's Sullinger. Naturally physical with a great touch around the rim.

Rack this man.

-Welp, my annual "You watch, they're gonna ship us out West" prediction would've been much obliged this year. There is literally NOBODY out there. Honestly surprised KU didnt get that top seed.

-Much respect for Billy Kennedy, and it's obvious his players love him, but damn, they're an ugly bunch.

-A&M can most definitely come outta there, but, they could also crap the bed with that much responsibility. Dont see it though. West is water.

Looking at those KenPom rankings, I think West Virginia got screwed more than any team in the field. Being a 3 seed and drawing KenPom #33 Stone Cold Stephen F. Austin in the first f'n round?

SCSFA might be the most grossly overqualified 14 seed in the history of this thing, either them or that nasty Cleveland State team who beat Indiana in '86

It wouldn't make things right, but it would make things better if the committee just went 100% honesty in their explanation of stuff. "We wanted a Kentucky/Indiana game on Saturday primetime. We wanted a TEXAS vs. A&M game because that's neat. We kind of like Duke so we gave them a draw that would be really easy if they didn't suck. Syracuse sounds like a team that should be in. We haven't watched them this year, but they usually make it, so we put them in." It's a situation where I'd appreciate a lack of tact instead of a load of bollocks about bad losses. Guys, it's 2015-16. Everybody sucks. So everybody's got bad losses. Maybe pick a different criterion this year? Bunch of goofs.

WTF, SELECTION COMMITTEE? Ranked.

5. 4 seed Kentucky/3 seed Texas A&M
4. 14 seed Stephen F. Austin
3. Syracuse gets in
2. 4 seed Iowa State

1. Tulsa gets in

^ THE worst at-large inclusion I have ever seen.

But hey, these SOB's have to beat Tyler Ulis and Jamal Murray. March is still a guard's game and I like our guards, and more importantly, I like our guards more than the other teams' guards. And they're playing on my birthday. If Jon's site is right, Kentucky hasn't lost on my birthday since 1973. That's 7 wins in a row. Let's kill these pricks.

"Hey, man, [Vandy, A&M, LSU, Georgia] really looked good in the SEC Tourney against us. I could see them making a serious run in the Big Dance."

ONE WEEK LATER

[Vandy, A&M, LSU, Georgia] ***** down leg and cries while looking for their parents in the stands.

I will say that the 8/9 teams look like they could present a challenge to the 1 seeds in the next round. Still not sure how Providence fell to a 9, but that wouldn't make me happy as a Tar Hole fan.
