Kinda torn on the Duke/UNC game. Hate both, rooting for a bomb as always, but hmmmm. UNC loss maybe keeps them off the #1 line, and means they don't win the ACC outright (I'm taking for granted that UVA mudstomps UL). But Duke is competing for a seed with UK, so I want them to lose. Hmmmm

How quick would wwh get run if he posted in this thread as BigCat1978 or some generic ****

tgh3316 is pretty generic already and he's made it. I'd say usernames are pretty low on the list of getting run, look how well CoolCat316 has done.

Ingram elbows Jackson in the face, draws blood. Foul on Jackson. Refs look at monitor, do nothing.

Just garbage refs everywhere. It's not just a UK thing.

So Ben Simmons couldn't even maintain a 2.0 to be eligible for the Wooden Award? I mean, with all of resources athletes have plus being a frosh who has said he's going to the league so he should be taking the bunniest of bunny classes, no reason why he shouldn't be able to coast to a 2.0. It's clear he doesn't give a **** about school, but at least fake it just a little.

I would imagine he is in bunny classes it's more that he isn't actually going to these bunny classes. I'm sure the rest of his teammates are being held to higher standards which would explain the fact they obviously hate each other.

Well done TBS with the K, Calhoun, Knight and Roy talking about their championships promo. Makes me excited for March Madness.

Is Pitino going to treat this like the final game of the tourney and make sure the scrubs get on the floor for a few minutes to finish their season? Part of me hopes so just to get the chuckle from it but then it would be nauseating to the listen to all the #L1C4 morons talk about how classy it was. And Vitale is getting on my last damn nerve with his incessant chatter regarding Pitino being back.

Rick Pitino is a true American hero. He has refused to play the victim, and has remained steadfast and level-headed through these senseless Acts of Betrayal that devastated an entire city and brought it to its knees.

A real Profile in Courage. What a stallion.

Would really like to see a 25 point beat down, but UVA not really built for that type of blowout.

22 is nice.

It was killing me with 5 minutes left, Vitale musing "they're only down 12". Yeah, but that's 20%, Dick. In a 54-42 game, that's like being down 100
to 80.

And the "glass houses" / "forgive and forget" stuff was straight out of Pitino's mouth. Should have just miked him up pre-game and cut out Vitale having to deliver it as the middleman.

Changed my tune. I want him back. I want this to hover over the program like a Sunday morning stale beer fart for the next 5 years. Cleaning house would go against what they stand for. If they don't stay the course it kills the narrative.

I mean I played sports in college. I dicked around plenty in college. And I didn't have the most challenging major in college, hence law school.

And I still would have been "eligible". That takes a special effort.

My favorite part is near the end where he tries to make a statement about how the NCAA actually rewards athletic achievement more than academic achievement, so they are being hypocritical.

I actually agree with that, but you can't make that argument then play like a lazy *****. If Tyler Ulis was skipping class to shoot 1,000 jumpers a day, fine. If Ben Simmons is skipping class to not play defense, get pumped

Meh. I'm assuming he's just not going to any class. Explains why he recently sat out. Which is ********. Pick up 3 online courses and play the game so it doesn't hurt the school.

He's not from here so I assume he's tired of the college charade and ready to get paid.

I like how our Aussie makes a great play tosses the ball at the ground in excitement and gets whistled for a tech. Simmons gets bitchy about not getting a call right away and tosses his mouth guard and notta.

You know the Simmons' comment almost assures Ulis will have a Kemba-esque march to the title(9), right?
Pretty sure Ulis would have destroyed Kemba and Napier. I love that kid. And Murrray has gone from happygolcucky to assassin. If we win in March it will be a UConn like guard dominated trek. If we lose it will be because we get out-rebounded 40-22.

Not sure if Skal is fools gold or not. Ine deep March, you need rebounding.

* Nice touch by DeCourcy blaming the Wooden Award folks for disqualifying Simmons and saying they should change their standards. Yes, the one objective piece of criteria that is the easiest to meet should be thrown out because it paints his boy Johnny Jones in a bad light, again.

* Blakeney was my favorite player on that LSU team. Great looking shot and seemed to be the only player interested in actually playing yesterday.

* Not sold on Skal yet but it was nice seeing him in the right position on the glass and not wandering around aimlessly on offense. He just has to keep playing through on defense when his shot isn't falling.

* Make the three game run through Bama/USC/A&M and we should be firmly stuck right in the top of that 3-seed line. I'm more worried about that second round match-up with the six seed than I am anything. If we get to Louisville, I can't see us losing in that building.

* Re: the officiating is bad universally and is direct result of rules committee going half-*** on enforcing them over the past few years. What is a foul at one minute isn't a foul the next. Been that way all year in every game you watch. But ya, no clue what Johnny was bitching about yesterday on the foul calls. Of course they don't play defense so I'm assuming he was surprised that they would even be concerned enough to make contact.

* Bo Ryan... [laughing]
