Buddy of mine is in N.H. on a ski trip. Apparently the last day they were skiing it was a brisk -25 degrees, -65 degrees when you took into account the 48 mph winds.

GEL-Lexington is going to feature a bunch of folks wearing $150 shoes and playing 10c basketball. Gonna be amazing.
I include myself in that group, BTW. Found a pair of Lebron 12s on clearance that were my size. Gonna look pretty sweet attached to my pasty white bird legs as I struggle to hoist up jumpers.
Welp, last night was fun.
Went to a late afternoon movie in Oakley with plans to go to dinner at Mitchell's in Newport.
Come out of the movie to a GD blizzard. 71 was an absolute joke. Decide to just go home and it took 2 hours to go 3 miles on 71N. Once I finally made it to 275 it was fine.
Stopped at a pub near my house and grabbed a burger.
The movie, Hail, Caesar, was not very good contrary to reviews.
And after we got home and sent the babysitter (my sister) home (roads had finally been treated by the time we left the pub) my wife passed out reading to the kids and I fell asleep on the couch.
And she hates and wants to exchange the bra and panties set I got her.
Mid-40's Valentines Romance for TMFL.
On the plus side, it was like mother touching Christmas for Dad... UK pullover, Bengals Hoody and a UK t-shirt featuring a retro wildcat head.
Now go back to touching off. I'm heading out to shovel some snow.

Docs are no different than any other professions, good ones and bad ones, mostly good.
But when they screw up... like when your wife goes in for a simple procedure to have a small piece of frayed cartilage removed from her foot and they remove the stiches too soon causing bleeding, then rather than seeing her themselves let their nurse handle the issue by closing the compromised wound back up causing infection and referring her to wound care rather than seeing her immediately to fix what they effed up, leading her to see another doctor who refers her to an orthopedic surgeon because the infection may have compromised the joint and she may lose her foot but she doesn't just requires another surgery to fix the problem and she's on a wound vac for going on a month with no walking on her own in the foreseeable future and daddy is taking care of her and three kids...yeah, when they screw up its frustrating. Not like getting your fast food order wrong at the drive thru.

My wife just talks **** to me when I get sick or feel bad. Personal shots. I think she honestly felt bad this time, until I took a long nap, then it was back to the personal shots.
This is rather ironic, considering she's one of the biggest hypochondriac's I've ever met.
Lol, I was referring more to the drugs -- which doctors are complete idiots about in general, which is why the pharmacist exists in the first place.
They definitely think they know everything though...just like Doctors really. Take Pope, who moonlights as a chiropractor and jacking up everyone's back.

Real Chiropractors are amazing. Could barely walk last weekend. One visit Monday, great adjustment, felt normal the next day. Highly suggest.
Thanks for Cincy game-watching rec, Chad. The lass and I hit up Lachey's in OTR. Cool space. They had the surround sound cued up for the Cats game.
Very good local beer list and great burger. First time seeing that OTR area. Thought it was very cool. Wanted to hit up the Taft Ale House after the game but the lass wanted to rest up at the hotel before the wedding.

I say this with complete sincerity and seriousness. The scariest thing in the medical profession, across all specialties, is when you run into someone who doesn't know what they don't know. The biggest offenders of this are mid levels of all types...PAs, CRNAs, NPs. Terrifying.
But of course this applies to physicians, pharmacists, etc. When someone can't comprehend that there's another level of understanding that they simply don't realize exists, mistakes happen. See this unfortunately happens all the time in academic institutions with trainees of all types.
One of the most valuable aspects of residency is the exposure gained to all sorts of specialities and learning when to ask for help, and having the humility to realize it's ok to admit you don't know something.

-Went out to the World Famous and the Other Bar on Thursday night. Don't know if they did this when you all were in school, but Two Keys does a $10 all you can drink special on Thursday nights. Had a responsible 5 mixed drinks and was home by about 1:30, and felt pretty good getting into work Friday morning.
-Decided to take it easy Friday night and went and saw Deadpool. I'm not a huge Marvel movie guy because they're usually so cheesy, but this was actually hilarious. Solid 8/10.
-Woke up Saturday, got some food and a 6-pack of Natty tall boys and watched the beatdown. Good god, Ulis and Murray are ridiculous. Admittedly, I don't watch a ton of other teams play, but the only other backcourt I'd consider trading for ours is Oklahoma's. And even then, I'm not so sure. Bodes well for March.
-Parents came down for a while for my birthday dinner on Saturday night. Just went to Drake's. It was pretty good. #foodtakes.
-Greek Sing fraternity party first on Saturday night (no panties this time, sorry) and then out to the bars until about 2:30-3. Was a pretty good time, although I didn't get to hustle anybody in pop-a-shot for a free drink.
-Dicked around all day yesterday, took some naps, etc. Didn't get the snow day today, but I'll take the two hour delay. Back at work now..

No. Actually kind of pissed they picked yet another Dudleys disciple. I do want to check it out though.
Had a bad back since I was 6. Went through years of back doctors and chiro is the only thing that makes it better. I only get like that every few years.
Not looking to start dragging the streets again but a random rager seems to be in the cards.
Home by midnight is a good limit, especially with an early game the next day.
And I do have a tendency to not be sympathetic with illnesses, but mono is pretty big. Sucks that G has just started sleeping well at night and now Anth gets taken down by mono to feel even more tired and exhausted. I guess I had mono as a kid (where the illness sometimes goes undetected because it doesn't affect kids as bad), because I don't seem to have it.
The google machine says there's not much you can do for mono except rest and eat right. So we had homemade chicken noodle soup for dinner last night. And I've got a ton of fruits and veggies that are supposed to help with liver support. I need to make some juices as well. And go to Caldo to get some bone broth.

I guess I get that. They don't really crush anything and maybe try a little to hard to be different/weird. Everything is just really good. They do have a great burger, great drink menu, great apps, cool atmosphere. It's not the "best" in town but it's pretty damn good. The entrees I've had are all good although the last steak I got there came sliced which I hate.
No doubt it will be the best restaurant in this ****** culinary city.
Will have to be pretty impressive to top Tony's imo. Have always had great stuff there, bar or dinner menu.
Was pretty underwhelmed with Dudley's this weekend. I tried a new item, rack of lamb, but it was meh.
Harry's/Malone's in Hamburg has been quite solid.
Now that Anth's got the Epstein Barr, chronic fatigue syndrome could follow Sloot.
