-It's too bad the common sentiment is that the Dunk Contest sucks, needs to be retired, etc...

...b/c the dunks Saturday night were about as good as it gets, and most of them were not planned as the contest was extended. Incredible display.

Guess it boils down to not having the superstars in it, but the dunks themselves have been pretty badass recently. A few of Gordon's were o_O

Saturday night in general was one of the better ones I've seen. The 3pt contest is pretty awesome these days...and our 7 footer Towns taking the skills comp. [laughing] Jesus.

-The actual All Star GAME is what needs to be changed...what a mess. [sick] Didn't watch one second.

-Twitter Bookie I follow had a Max bet on the 4Q under...which he lost on Steph Curry's half court shot at the buzzer. Ouch.

-+$800 weekend on the Gambol for dad, much needed.

-Curious to see where we jump to in the polls today...I don't pay much attention to those, but I'm tired of being fringe Top 25, I know that. I'll guess 17.

-Seriously, look at this ****.

^ Can't imagine how fun it is to be able to do that.

-So I've felt like trash for going on 2 weeks. After going to the 2 separate doctors, the first diagnosing indigestion and the second diagnosing a sinus infection, I have mono. SMH. I guess it is easy to see why Bob is doing so well. Seriously, I told both of them exact symptoms listed on WebMD under Mono, that I wanted to make sure I wasn't contagious b/c I have a 7 month old. Both spent 10 minutes looking at me and one prescribed pepcid the other claritin.

So no drinking for me for the foreseeable future. Had 4-5 drinks on Saturday from 6-11p and I felt like the day after SECT yesterday. I guess this thing is no joke on your liver. Yippee.

Also, does anyone have a real doctor in Lexington they recommend? Parents want me to do one of those OneMDs or whatever but I go to the doctor like every 3 years for illness. I don't need to drop $5000 per year for a physical.

-Pay back for UT on Thursday. Again, I love the Thursday/ Sat combo. I tend to think the team does as well.

-Weekend looks [jumpingsmile], maxx you should join us for the Cincy watch party on Saturday.

-Didn't see a minute of any All Star stuff. Watched some highlights is about it.

Should we finish strong, Tyler Ulis is the SEC POY. Sorry Ben Simmons.

Hopefully the voters are smart enough to realize this...I'm betting at least the coaches are.

...same goes for All American. Seems like he was screwed from the start with Trimble/Dunn being shoe-ins...but if he doesn't at least make 2nd Team AA it's a crime. Nobody has been better over the past month, not even Buddy. Cat Barber is scoring like a maniac, but his team is losing.

-Doctors HATE prescribing antibiotics or real medicine these days. Have a better shot asking for HGH. I had the same deal (ear infection) earlier this year, and had to go back twice before one finally relented and gave me some actual medicine. Dealt with the **** for nearly 3 weeks instead of a few days as a result.

Not concerned about that as much as them blowing the diagnosis and giving me the all clear to given mono to my 7 month old.

For SEC give me:

Ulis
Moody
Murray
Jones
Simmons

Tyler is starting to get the late momentum. That's good. At this point POY is a long shot without Buddy falling way off but he's the best PG. Time for Murray to start getting some 2nd or 3rd team AA love as well.

Your pharmacist can/will do a better job diagnosing general **** in most cases. It's amazing how dumb many Doctors are, to be honest. 90% of her job is correcting the Doctor's mistakes.
Don't know if it's dumb, I just don't think either spent time actually listening to me. They were in an out in 5 minutes tops. I was actually a little worried because I had felt like trash for 2 weeks. No energy, cold sweats, aching muscles, no appetite. Google that **** if you want to scare the piss out of yourself.

70% of upper respiratory infections are caused by viruses, so the antibiotics you seek will not work. However, in prolonged viral infections it is possible to develop a secondary bacterial infection on top of it. Which is probably what it sounds like happened to you.

Maybe lazy is a better word. Obviously they aren't 'dumb'.

^Absolutely. No big deal though. Just going to visit my friends newborn now that I have indigestion and sinus infection and I'm not contagious.

[laughing]

Everybody is so smart these days with Dr Google at their fingertips. And honestly I think its great that people are empowering themselves. But as Anth can attest, a little bit of knowledge can be a frightening thing.

Had a wise mentor once explain to me that a lot of what we do is straightforward. Hell, maybe 90% of the time even a lay person could see the abnormality. But its that 5-10% of cases that nobody else has a clue about, that's where we really earn our money. Experience is a valuable commodity.

Cue Dennis, he's due for a good doctor hating rant.

She said there was a "chance" she could open the school if conditions improve...but don't want her to drive all the way out there from home to do that, she's nice enough to stay until 9+ as is on Mondays, when she's already at work.

Plus, figure we'd have several weather/road excuses & dropouts anyways. Oh well.

I say we run at LAC Westport or some other local gymnasium. You and I have memberships so we could get a few with passes and likely the whole crew with your ability to schmooze the front desk hussy. Also, jonesing to try out my newly acquired retro 80's sneaks [smoke].

Probably a near perfect sports weekend for B.J. Wildcats. Cal's ejection prompts additional attention to the manhandling of South Carolina, multiple highlight vines we'll be able to loop for the remainder of the season (Briscoe's reaction to the Murray dunk being the obvious #1), Towns taking that All-Star challenge only to be mobbed by other former UK players, the gif of Towns/Cousins watching the dunk contest, UL collapsing and then one of the senior leaders that their fan base is martyring voices frustration about his head coach. A+++.

Again, as much as I cant really stand listing to KSR (mostly because of Lemond), the other Jones podcast is really good. The episode with Pablo Torre was great. Also I had no idea that Karen and Tim Sypher admittedly fell in love in a cemetery on the way back from having her abortion.

My mother got back to Louisville yesterday from a week in the Dominican Republic. Apparently she began feeling sick on the way to the airport, enough to prompt medical attention at the airport. With the zika scare- they werent going to let her on the plane, and ultimately she got another flight on another airline- 8 hours later. Turns out it was food poisoning.

Bonzo's GEL shoes take top prize from the ones ive seen.

Well...I'm sure 90% of pharmacists think they can diagnose general issues. Only thing scarier than being dumb is not knowing what you don't know.

Edit: not defending other docs, especially PCPs. They are likely just lazy and overworked and thought you were just being a little *****.
