When did it become socially acceptable to just wail on females? The dudes got what they asked for. No problem with that.

But if you’re a man and you start just sucker punching women and smacking them with a chair, that’s a problem for me. There’s no excuse for that ****. Don’t wanna hear it.
The ferry was actually on the way to a wedding so as we know anything goes. Especially on the water.

I agree with that. Women should have stayed out of it, but hitting one with a chair is some BS. Dude will get some time for it too.

I have seen my wife’s patience go from 10 to 0 in the past 6 wks. When your 2 year old hits a wall at 7:55am bc they are so tired (no ****, you’ve been up since 4:45), it makes for a long f’n day.

On Sunday, we had taken a long walk, watched a movie, swam for an hour, and made pancakes and it was only 9:55am.

I’m not bragging about all my parenting, but if there’s one thing the Dougans have done well it’s instilling a “sleep until at least 7 AM” approach for all our young children. 4:45 AM? Damn bro… brutal.

4:45am with overnight wake-ups. Basically averaging 8 hours overnight instead of the normal 10-11.

Last time at the pediatrician, I did the math for her that basically over the course of a year, my kid is sleeping 1 month less than what she should be.

She didn’t realize the magnitude but then said, “some kids just don’t sleep.”

Thanks doc, appreciate it.

Sleep training was the best thing we ever did with #1. Pain in the *** for about a week but after that smooth sailing. #2 has gone to bed at 730-8p and will sleep until 8 or 9a since he was an infant.

When I mentioned new friends my point was in the context of weddings, social situations, going out, etc. of course if my kids are going to go to school or play sports with another kid making it so I’m around them all the time I’ll make friends with the cool ones and pray my kids like each other. No surprise Chad astutely understood my point while you knuckle dragging buffoons missed it. That being said I’ve thoroughly enjoyed meeting some of the catholic school parents and it’s been a really nice community to join

My children have all been great sleepers and I attribute it to some main things. We were extremely strict with sleep training, we never let them sleep in our bed, and both me and my wife are (or used to be before becoming stressed out adults the last 5 years) good sleepers. The last part is the most important imo, genetics is very powerful. So clearly either you or your wife are **** sleepers as well doubleduece

In the beginning of my career everything centered around growing and getting busy - with no end goal in mind, just “keep growing”. Now it’s too big and overwhelming. #grassisnotalwaysgreener

Sure, it’s great to be so needed and important, but I would love my toddlers to just not ask me a question for 10 touching minutes some days

Tuesday. No one has a strong opinion about it. It’s just there.

-all kids are different. #2 had a long period of not sleeping...eventually she grew out of it, this too shall pass or whatever.

^nature>>>nurture....as Ron said "genetics".

* Pleased to hear that practices have been a lot more physical/chippy at this stage of the game. Need the O line to revert back to a dominant SEC unit. Levis never had time last year. Gotta get that fixed, especially with the upcoming slate.

* Have never been able to sleep more than 7-8 hours, with 6 being more of the norm. The times I get 8+, I feel worse than if I only got a few hours. Brother is the opposite, so genetics goes so far.

* Hit up Black Rabbit Saturday night. Little speak easy connected to Jack's/Equus. Pretty wodie little spot in St. Matt's and one of the few places in the area conducive to cocktails and conversation. Date had a Four Roses single barrel with fresh lime/lemon, brown sugar simple and egg white. No clue what that's called but it was WAF.

* See there's a petition going around to change the Commanders back to the Redskins 😂 No chance the shield allows that to happen, regardless of how many Washingtonians favor it. Respect the hustle, but anything other than that generic nickname.

* Belated hat tip to the Nationals for giving me one shinning moment this season and sweeping the Redlegs. Sun shines on a dogs *** from time-to-time, I guess.

* 25 days 🥰

-Same^ if I get 8 hours or more I’m worse than less. Same with a nap. Might as well just be more tired, less motivated and grumpier than if I hadn’t slept at all.

Never need/want more than 5-6 hours.

-Speaking of baseball and the NL leading Cubs (since the All Star break), thinking we’re going to hit the Rays/Cards game.

Typical bandwagon *** Reds fans on top of the world and talking **** about their “playoff run” only to have EVERYONE say meh touch em, made it FBall practice… and you all wonder why your small-market ***, never winning **** cute little team isn’t spending money to make a run. You all pack up and quit as soon as you took a nose dive. ✌️

One thing I love about SP and where I live is 81 days a year you can just bike over to a big league game for $30-40. I mean, even just cruise over for 4-5 innings is fun.

Then Central Ave. with all the bars and shops is 2 blocks away.

“Washington Redtapes” was the way to go but whatever.
Or The Swamp Things.

* They let us see my dad in the ICU last night, which was great. After he came to, he made the nurse assure him they didn't give him a sex change while he was under. Pretty amazing that they can wheel you into surgery to crack your chest open and rearrange your heart at 7:30 am and you can be making dick jokes that evening. Modern medicine is an amazing thing.

* I'm pretty pumped to listen to yesterday's KSR.

200 topneck clams shucked
Half raw / half stuffed & baked Casino
Lasagna
Homemade blueberry cobbler
Little Man’s 10 birthday cake

Plethora of icy Miller High Life cans
Old Carter Am Whiskey

Best night with 24 fam members at the beach
Followed by:

~~~~Karmic twist~~~~
4am wake up to pee, smashed into raised blade-like corner of stone shower base and caused massive bloodletting and bone bruise. Swollen… can’t walk. Nothing broken I think. Had my contacts out so I didn’t see the blood everywhere until I put on the lights and was slipping in it. Wife was pleased - as always.
Hopping to the beach shortly.
Our boy would try to wake up at 5 am when he was younger…it was rough. We found some kind of alarm clock that tried to help him understand when it was “nighttime” vs “daytime “. It had some kind of pictures on it for “nighttime” and when it was “daytime” the pictures would change. I think it kinda helped him by having the visuals instead of just numbers.
In my first lulu store today and bought a shirt(forgot my polo). Jesus that stuff Is overpriced as hell. $128 for a button up😂, What a waste.
When I told the lady I didn’t have an email with them and didn’t want one with them you’d have thought I kicked a puppy.
Would’ve gotten the usual Fabletics but no polos or button ups in the store and going to the Don Cesar today to inquire about work so figured I needed one for there at least.
Also haven’t been to a mall or shopped in a store in forever. Not a fan. The sales people are nice and helpful but I don’t want suggestions or help finding anything, I want to get in and out and not talk to everyone in the store.
Friendly reminder that, as of today, the Cincinnati Reds are a playoff team.
No, actually they aren't. Season isn't over. Playoff teams are decided at that time or before if one clinches a spot. Figured you would know this, but since I have had to put you on check countless times before in regards to this subject, I am not surprised I have to again.
As stated before...and been proven correct....in other words, these tips and lessons are getting tiresome. Wise up or pick a new subject. It's really not a good look for you, and I know you do have some sense.
Oh....your "damn fine baseball player" is off to a rolling start in August.... .217 with 11 K's in 23 AB's. This after closing July w/ a stellar .238 clip and striking out 38% of the time.
TFP...but I will hold the sprinkles for another time.
Old man confused by the young people observations
- 20 something guys grow out terrible mustaches and have ****** 70s era hair. And not sarcastically or ironically, it’s just their look. Like that’s what they’re going for
- Girls at the gym are all power squatters now and could break me in half
- Did you know you could be the fry chef at McDonalds and own a 6,000 square foot home in Beverley Hills in the 80s? Housing and everything was so dirt cheap! Never mind the 14% interest rate, things were so affordable everyone comfortably owned a home. In the 80s that is.
- Felling sad on occasion ? Sometimes tired? You have a clinically diagnosed horrible neurological condition!
-Does work sometimes kinda suck on occasion? Congrats, you have a toxic work environment and need to get out ASAP!
-keep grinding folks, you’ll eventually get to make fun of the utes as well
~ Much like everything he talks about, Mr. Blades F-150 selfie is just going to move the goalpost on whatever the hell dumb **** he said six months ago, completely ignore all evidence to the contrary and disappear if he's completely wrong. You better believe his bum *** will be in here running his mouth if he's even within a mile of being correct though. He just needs to gain a c-note and start an orange tan now.
~ RE : kids sleeping. My son was awful until we found out he needed tubes (around 2 1/2 or so). Once that was remedied, he figured it out pretty well. The only issue was getting him down because his daycare did naps even if you were 5 and weren't taking them at home. My daughter has to have someone in the room with her, is terrified of everything in said room (in spite of multiple checks and room rearranges) and wakes up in the middle of the night to sneak in our bed. We've recently found that she's been going to sleep in our son's room with him and the dog. I'm cool with that to an extent. She'll figure it out when kindergarten hits next August.
~ Speaking of, that second mortgage payment from Daycare ends in 297 days. Already made plans to travel with the wife and kick savings in high gear. Mercy.
~ Didn't realize the kind of attrition we had a WR. Good to know we've got great top end guys but nervous about injuries. As others have said, huber giddy to see if we can get something going with the backs/TE's and a bit more of a flex scheme since we have a completely different identity at RB.
~ Nice chunky raise yesterday. Always a blessing and never taken for granted. Good to know some places still value the employee and the work being done. That said, I'm putting in less hours now than ever. Normal end of summer slow down but the fed keeps dicking with the rate and everyone is getting the jitters. Might be time to tamp it down a notch, eh Janet?
~ Be good, GYERO.
