- After a long weekend, the benefit of working from home is exponentially magnified. Shew 😴can hardly do two full days of partying with the crew and live to tell about it anymore.

- The Manchester is a dope setup in a burgeoning area. 14 of us at a table (wcc cringes) and they had no trouble keeping drinks filled, food flowing and out the door in a timely fashion. Rooftop bars are lacking in the Bluegrass so Lost Palm is a choice addition.

- Brazzers Pool Signature Club is a gem. Perfect combo of families and young adults enjoying rocky mountain sodas and shenanigans in the sun. Had to make sure the slide was up to code for G and 40 Proof so in the name of safety, zipped through a few times.

- Trying to think of a successful rebranding and it actually improving the product/service/logo and coming up empty. Google -> Alphabet. Facebook -> Meta. Comcast -> Xfinity. Redskins -> Commanders. Starting to buy into the idea Musk is trying to wreck the platform to severely devalue the site & right off losses.

- Put my house on the market last Wednesday, got 11 offers in 24 hours and under contract for well over asking price. Definitely a sellers market.

- If you squint you can see the dew coming off the Purple Lot grass and faint sounds of the marching band tuning up.

- Anyone in the AirBnB rental game? Pro's/con's?

* Lots of angles with the Gilgo Beach serial killer, but my favorite thus far is that the local police chief intentionally interfered with the FBI investigation because they were also investigating him for assaulting a man who stole porn and sex toys from his car.

link: Back the Blue

This guy was actually caught with very simple DNA work in the end.

* Two absolute summer mega blockbusters this weekend -- one about the making of a bomb that would be used to murder hundreds of thousands of innocent civilians, and the other that people were very offended by.

* Lucky Day > Dusty Bottoms > Ned Nederlander

But it's closer than the experts think.

* Taylor Swift tour, Barbie movie, Beyonce tour........an awful lot of female empowerment and ladies getting out over their skis this summer, imho.

Bros, we desperately need to step up our Toxic Masculinity and regain control.

* I can't wrap my head around the understanding of the new social media meme thing...

Nobody:
[insert something stupid here]

Like, I don't "get" the format.

* Thoughts on my beloved Cincinnati Reds.......

- Tejay Antone may have the best stuff in the pen, and he's getting close
- Connor Phillips is going to be a September callup and a huge shot in the arm
- I'm going to be pissed when Andrew Abbott gets shut down. Not all innings are the same, and that guy is a soft tosser who should be capable of 250 innings/year without injury
- trade deadline concern #1 = bullpen. the starting rotation will take care of itself
- brandon williamson may turn out to be a really good pitcher after all. that ay-oo-henn-ee-oh suarez/jesse winker trade is looking better by the day

* Scott Rolen doesn't "feel" like a Hall of Famer, but he is. 3B is the most underrepresented position in the Hall.
* Bonz --> as a single man (you will be forever, at this rate), AirBnb is a must. My best year (pre-marriage) was ~ $20,000, and that was just renting it out when I was going to be traveling anyways. Invest in some extra sheets and towels, and set it up with your renters in mind and you'll crush it.

* Speaking of which......taking bets on:

- Bonzo waxing his realtor: +$300
- Bonzo trying to wax his realtor: -$400

* Starting to expand my product lines a little bit, and already rolling with life/disability policies. Just need someone to come over with a viking helmet, a long cape, and a curved sword to honor my success.

* I don't get all the new trading card nonsense that brady talks about on here, but seeing him get his hands on the classics is really awesome, and it's great to see the market continuing to surge for those antiques. The Jordan rookie, Mickey Mantle, Pete Rose, etc.

* White crocs and Vipers. Kids these days, man.

* You can be a brilliant businessman in one setting, a complete, total, miserable failure in another. We see that in pro sports every single day, and now We Are All Witnesses with this Elon/Twitter debacle. Indefensible.

* Gonna go hike Mount Massive this afternoon. Holla.

Solid weekend thoughts...

Friday dinner with the besties, Granddam is legit. That rum espresso martini was one of my favorite new cocktails in a while and their tasting/appetizer menu knocked in out of the park.

After dinner drinks at the Lost Palm was good, but has room for improvement. Awesome space, and the views toward the east were great. The regular whiff of the town's sewer plant and garbage transfer station were not.

Saturday was perfect for a round of 18, especially with good friends. I started out playing like I hadn't swung a club in over 2 years, but once the rust wore off I found a groove and hit some good shots.

Saturday afternoon I took advantage of an empty house and watched a few episodes of Alone while lounging in some comfortable clothes.

Ordered pizza for dinner that evening.

Did some binge watching of The Bear, only a few episodes left. Ordered an "Original Berf" shirt, cant wait for it to arrive.

Slept in Sunday, ate some leftover pizza for breakfast, then spent some time with my parents that afternoon.

Finished the evening with some bruschetta and Caesar salad with homemade dressing. Main ingredients for both came from the garden.

PTi crossover into the bourbon policies, specifically insuring bourbon barrels or legalmans warehouse for distilleries.

Apparently there is a fortune to be made even as a 3rd party seller.

Anyway, do that and I’d be interested in possibly switching who represents Down Home Insurance Interests.

-I was planning on AirBNB’ing my house but it looks like to rent it out long term I can just give my friend 10% of monthly rent and I don’t have to do anything but collect for the first year and once I’m settle in SP will probably switch it to AirBNB.

Just too much going on right now for the ABNB. But will be nice to end up ABNB for when I come home to visit, although the idea of visiting doesn’t sound like it’ll happen for a long time.

-Been to Signature Club to lounge a couple times. My friend that’s a member there was like good luck getting in, security blah blah, yeah yeah toots, walk in and act like you’re supposed to be there hasn’t been a problem yet.

-PTI if you want to help us with toxic masculinity stop running so much and start lifting more. No one is scared of a runner and we need bros to be scaring people.

-Got .40/gallon at Kroger today, that was cool. Never used their gas points before.

-Been “cutting” for Florida and pool season but even if I eat nothing but meat, veggies from home cooked myself, overnight oats, yogurt, PB, milk, blueberries, Quest protein bars, somehow I’m still hitting like 4K Cals/day.

So I broke down and bought rice cakes which I swore I wouldn’t ever do since I quit wrestling but goals and whatnot, gotta do things you don’t want to.

-I’ve recently had two friends from HS OD “accidentally” on things laced with fentanyl. When are people going to realize this **** is everywhere and not to take pills or blow from the street?

Also, why are dealers killing their best clients? Seems like a terrible marketing strategy and business plan.

-#475 Squat PR today, would’ve appreciated 1 more degree of butt to ground but it was parallel and I was def happy.

#110 away from a #1500 combo and I swear I’ll quit going so heavy.

-Paul Cathen is a great country voice and his songs are fun for a cruise around town, much appreciated.

Bro.

I joined a Cross Fit gym.

Actually loving it. I usually do the 5:30am class and just modify all the crazy CF nonsense (ex: this morning = no, I'm not doing butterfly/kipping pull-ups). The rest of the time it's open gym/open access, and there's maybe 50 members. So at any point in the day I can walk in and have the place all to myself. It's surprisingly a very well equipped gym.

Love to hear it, as I said I’m switching to CF in SP just to mostly work on cardio and cutting down and more importantly to meet other gym bros and gals that are like minded.

Going to be a struggle for sure. I love zoning out and lifting heavy, it’s zen as it gets for me.

-Time to replace all the hinges on all the doors in my house, yippee!

-Didn't hear the big game hunting stuff but did here the locals boo the guy on the f*cking 1st tee of the final round. Which is ridiculous and I'm not sure I've ever seen that before. We're not talking about a Ryder Cup here, this is his first major. Glad he cruised.

-Liverpool is a great town or at least it was when I visited in 2005.

-Yearly round of golf Saturday. Great to get out with the lads but reminder of how ****** I am. Clocked in at 5 hours, btw.

-Chili clams at Grandamm were fire. Cool spot, great meal.

-WS doesn't even need the excuse of friends to come over to stock our cupboard like we're expecting the apocalypse.

Point is, your mythical 3.5 to 4 hour golf day doesn't exist unless you live on a CC. We played a pretty quick round and I was still gone for 5 hours. If I played at the normal public track it would've been 30 minute commute each way on top of a 5 hour round. Plus show up 30 minutes early and at least 1 day of post round beers. For public track warriors it's 6 hours minimum.

Golf is a major time commitment. I get why a single dude with no kids doesn't understand, but most wives would rightfully murder a dad of 2 kids under 8, for spending 10-15 hours a week at the course.

In today's "pump the breaks" section of GYERO, let's hear your Reds predictions over trhe next six games. 3 at Milwaukee and then 3 at the Dodgers.

I'm predicting 2-4.

I left my house at 910 and was home at 145, after a run through the drive through and getting blocked from my normal route home due to some ******* stealing a police cruiser and crashing it.

Took about the same amount of time as a Sunday bike ride and sauna sesh.

Anth isn’t a golf guy, he has other primary interests that get the bulk if "his" time. Fine. Pretty much every married man I know except Chad gets a reasonable leash to do some things they enjoy.

But he’s clueless if he thinks those that DO love to golf are somehow unreasonable, or that it’s impossible. Literally every person I golf with has a wife & multiple children…as do several in this thread.

Exactly. I choose other activities because it wouldn't be fair to do both at this point. If golf was my priority I'm sure we'd work that out.

That's still off my original point, you're gone for most of the day when you play. In best case scenario this weekend, I was gone 5 hours.

Btw, bike ride is 2 hours. I ride less than 1 round in a week.

Your lovely wife did kinda want to murder you Saturday...and it wasn't b/c of the golf. ;)

Not gone most of the day. My typical Saturday when I was playing a lot was golf at 8-9am, and meet lass at pool by 1pm for lunch, with a full day looming. Oh, the horror!

Gonna go ahead and give myself the W here, hopefully you'll come stronger next year in our 17th annual installment of this argument.

"8-9" & "by 1pm".

4hr round. Well, 6 if you count multiple snoozes, shower, breakfast, letting out/feeding dogs, ironing clothes, lunch after, and changing into swim trunks.

Bike riding also isn’t “just” 2 hours. It requires getting dressed, going to the bathroom, gathering up drinks/snack supplies, doing some **** to the bike to get it ready, then the 2 hour ride, getting home and being hot/tired/sweaty, sauna if possible, shower, rest on the couch to recover, etc.

So of you mix that in with golf every weekend, yes, @anthonys735 would be on my bad side all summer long.

Do said bike ride or workout at 6:30am. Problem fixed.

Doesn’t bifurcate day,

Wife shuts pie hole, kids sports and ******** usually start around 10, devote 1-2 golf rounds per season with the boys.

Voila.

Considering the time my wife spends on Saturday/Sunday morning to “get ready” I’d say 8-1 golf is about fair. Hell we don’t start our day most weekends until 2-3 because of her.

I mean we do breakfast and swim or play board games/video games etc while waiting on her to say ok I’m ready. Then we get ready and still end up waiting on her for 5-10 minutes before doing anything.

Not if he's the bread winner, and spends the majority of every other hour w/ the wife and kids. She should value, endorse, and respect the guy time.

*10-15 hours is actually 8-10 if you're talking 2 full rounds. 1 round a week would be like heading out for milk and bread and running a few errands.
