My favorite play from Saturday was after a play. UL's DB's are trying to start **** with Brown and it's kind of working (just had a big run play and the blocking went well after the whistle). Brown is in the DB's face and C-Rod yanks him back, slaps his helmet and gives him a quick two words to get back to the huddle.
C-Rod definitely wasn't perfect, but his on the field effort and mentality meant a ton to this team.

UK ranked 14th in Time of Possession with an average of 32:34 a game. They ranked 121st in average number of plays a game with an average of 64.4 plays a game.
~Glad the regular season has come to a close. It has been exhausting. The last few weeks have been a chore to attend. Didn't even really feel anything at the UL game, just glad it wasn't a loss. Keep all the young talent and find an OC that will bring some juice back to the program.

I think it was last year against Mississippi State where a safety hit him low in the open field and flipped him over with the safety landing on his back. C Rod kept chugging his feet and stomped the poor bastard straight in the face mask.

Ruby's has a good Caesar salad for starting out if you like them, can't go wrong with a Freddie though.
Their specialty is steaks. Just order one that looks good to you.
The house special Manhattan is a great drink, I like a good old fashioned before a steak too.

Just curious - where did these numbers come from?
So the offense had the ball a lot of time, compared to other teams, but ran very few offensive plays compared to other teams.
With those numbers, it would just about have to mean that UK's offense ran down the play clock (on average) more than just about any team in the country before running their play.
No wonder the offense - and the entire season - was painful to watch.

That includes chains such as Ruth, and locals that aren’t even PRIME, etc.
It’s a fantastic Atmosphere, especially in Lexington. A great social night out. I get it. And I definitely enjoy as a straggler VIP.
But the once perceived aura of “best steak around by far” is simply, & patently false, from a FOOD ONLY slant.
Sides overall are also well below par for the genre. Mushrooms elite, however. Wedge is fire.
Will enjoy again countless times for certain, mainly for the company…but that’s my objective take.
It’s a great steakhouse, Lex is fortunate to have one, it’s just not the *only* place for a good meal, or steak. Far from it.

Maybe I got a bad batch but the one time I ordered potatoes Anna they were terrible. Unseasoned half cooked fried potatoes. That was at the downtown Cincy location though.

My wife told me today that my SIL boyfriend asked my FIL for her hand in marriage. They’re a young couple from WV and very nice, he’s in the military, we’re all happy for them. But he informed my FIL that he wants to do it at a “fancy dinner” that apparently we’re all going to together in a couple weeks I didn’t know about. Where are we having dinner? Yup, good ole Jeff Ruby’s. So I’ll be seeing an engagement at my next time eating there. Not exactly my style but whatever should be pretty entertaining.
I could use another day before getting back to the real world. Can't pull those 2 day romp fests like I used to.
The issue of the steakhouse social night out Ruby's soiree for me is that sitting still and consuming 3,000+ calories for 2+ hours isn't exactly my greatest recipe for fun. After that I'm just a food como drunk who needs to go to bed.

I only go to Ruby’s or any high end steakhouse after day-drinking for a ballgame.
