This Washington game is exactly why conservative possession football is idea vs uptempo “soft” football.

It ain’t pretty, ever, but it’s winning football!

I usually crash about daylight, if then, but am up in 2-3 hours. Been that way for for about 17 years. Makes fishing at night and watching the sun come up easy. The days I can’t sleep at all I just fish until I’m completely worn out. I really miss drinking alcohol.

-after talking to a friend who's BIL is in the FBI stationed in Chicago...we've canceled that trip and are headed to NYC in December. Rockefeller center gonna be dope.

^apparently a bunch of the shops on Mag mile are gone and it's just not as safe and fun anymore.

Hope we dictate tempo tonight and run em out of the gym. Izzo likes to muck it up and if we allow it, we could have a struggle on our hands.

Sorry for trying to provoke conversation about the first big basketball game of the season. Guess I should've named a plow. GYERO killing it today.

You're anti-Cal (terrible take), but a tired ***, trendy-8-years-ago t-shirt got you back on board (worse take?)

K
You think Cal is gonna push the pace? I‘ll believe it when I see it. Letting teams dictate tempo against us is a staple.

We were top 10 in PPG last season (79.4). Cal has built this roster for speed, shooting and spacing. I expect us to push the pace and average over 80/game. If we don't, he'll scream GOOOOO!!! and get us right back on track.

Our office in downtown Chicago has been blowing circuit breakers for over a year because so many people have mini-fridges at their desk now. It’s been tolerated because they don’t want to leave the office to get lunch in the Loop.

-noted, sae.

-75% of the reason for going there(for us) is for the shopping. Many stores have ceased operations (fact)....due to covid/shoplifting. Crime is up (fact).

^my girls have never seen NYC during the holidays...and I haven't since John wall at the Garden. Looking forward to it.

Honest question, does Mich State ever win in this classic? I’m not researching it but they have to be the worst team in the group as far as W/L goes.

As I’ve gotten older I’ve come to appreciate how Cal approaches these games, win or lose let’s see what we got. It’s too early to get too bothered, and I say that confidently as we play the worst team in the group!

Yea I mean I think the retail is down, where isn't it?

I'd rather go to NYC anyway, but citing your cousin's SIL who's an intern with the FBI seemed beneath you as a poster and as a Father.

Oh well. Let's see what anth says.

-it's my hiking buddy's BIL...who is a 20+ year field agent, but your point is understood.

They have the worst record but it’s pretty even amongst the quartet.

I went to Chicago at the beginning of August on a family trip (Cubs games, shopping, etc.). The Mag Mile area was bustling. I didn't see evidence of stores being closed or anything being amiss. The Loop area south of the river (the business district) was desolate and certainly appeared to be feeling the effects of remote work.

-the numbers are the numbers. 🤷‍♂️

-I've been in Haiti during deadly riots...not "afraid for our wellbeing", but im dropping a significant amount of coin on this trip so I want it to be what I want it to be. That's all.

-youngest is 16 today. 20+ people at the new Hot Pot place on Richmond rd for family party tonight. Explaining what to eat at a Korean joint to my country as **** 80 yo father will be a trip.

-gotta get a drivers permit test lined up...she's not pushing for it as hard as I was at that age. Typical for her generation I understand. I was champing at the bit to start driving.
