- I genuinely have no clue what I did with my weekends or work day evenings before kids. Most likely a lot of porn, Ninetendo/Xbox, and pick up games.
Little girl (8yo, 3rd grade) is full swing into softball and basketball. We are either at the hitting facility getting swings or in the gym putting up shots nearly every day now that we are in between softball and basketball. We have a 3rd grade league at rocky hollow in somerset coming up plus our local Rec league after the first of the year. We will hit that hard until beginning of March and then start traveling around the beautiful state olaying softball again, which she will be competing in 10u (live arm) and her last year of 8u (coach pitch).
little boy (6yo, 1st grade) is starting to get the basketball itch. Been doing a lot of ball handling drills with him since he is too weak to get it up to a 10ft rim just yet. He was about half interested last year for bitty ball so I’m sensing we are heading in the right direction. He has dumb amounts of energy probably a little ADD I’m hoping his interest keeps growing. It’s still early but it doesn’t seem like baseball is gonna be the sport for him.

- Coaches are definitely scaling back the playbook to try to stop Levis from himself while they decide to play him. I get it as his future is now with 3 games left, but it begs the question how you couldn’t convince anyone worth a damn to stay as the backup.
- Just ordered 50 windows for a house and was guaranteed 6 week lead. 4-5 months ago we were telling people 20-24 weeks, slow down is coming for construction.
- Sanded down some drywall and got the first coat of paint on the basement this weekend. It’s just disgusting work and I didn’t wear a mask so I’m dragging as my body fights off dust and paint fumes.
- Yellowstone was solid last night. Nothing special and you can see the end of their run is near as they are reaching for rehashed story lines.

Daughter completed her full week of school last week (started Labor Day week) and proceeded to puke all over us in the middle of the night. It’s a clownshow.

Yesterday, we had 2 birthday parties on separate ends of town, and some of the kids had a 3rd to go to after. That's not including practices, lessons, games, plays, PTC, cookies with Santa, church related stuff. Problem is, this seems like it's only going to accelerate.

I absolutely had no desire to attend a noon vandy game in a 35 degree drizzle. Matter of fact, UK would have to pay me NIL to do that. However, that doesn’t mean I’m not glad the weather is acting normal for this time of year. Had a nice little fire going in my gas insert fireplace, was snuggled up in my recliner w my north face slippys and sweatpants. picked up some wings from Indies. Even took a nap in the 4th quarter. I’m enjoying white lotus. Whoever said it lacks the anxiety/dread that each episode had last season nailed it, but it’s still very good.

Anth, come meet me at the boat ramp at 5am for the 5 mile run up the river in my boat to catch sauger before the river gets too high. Nothing like a brisk ride in 30 degree weather to wake you up. Then you’re exposed to a 10-15 mph wind to keep you nice and cool for the next 4-6 hours trying to limit out. The icicles on the rod tips make neat prisms when the sun hits them just right. Just don’t bring any puss bois since were hooked up to the high wall about 150’ from the dam and the logs jumping out of the gates are a little unsettling for most people.
