Bernie, not sure if it’s advertised or talked about out there but Norton common amphitheater is having an awesome bourbon event tonight starting at 6pm.

Saturday big world thoughts:

-Hot take: Stranger Things should've ended after the first season. I mean, there are obvious $ reasons why they continued it, and the subsequent seasons are -- fine -- but that first season was one of the best seasons of television I've watched. The rest? A whole lotta meh.

-Kawhi Leonard is the one NBA star who feels like I have no idea how old that dude is. You could tell me he was 28 or going on 37 and I'd probably believe you either way. That guy is a riddle wrapped inside a mystery inside an enigma. Does he still play basketball? Is he still on the planet? Has he developed gills that allow him to breathe underwater?

-Speaking of the #ilikesports, Tacko Fall has the weirdest free throw motion I've ever seen:

I'm gonna need a Zapruder style video that breaks down WTF is going on here. He makes Chuck Hayes look like Mark Price.

-I need to make a day trip back to Indianapolis soon. Had a thought to get up this morning and hit the road but I've been traveling the last couple of weekends and saw it was going to be in the low 90s, so no bueno. My old stomping grounds in Broad Ripple is a pretty cool area and I'd love to take the doggo back to some of our past spots on the Monon Trail. Plus, the near west side has a smashburger diner that has to be the best in the Midwest. I mean, you're getting a damn good burger (along with maybe a knife fight) at a place like this:

Naptown gets slept on.

-I'm a simple man. Dunkin's original blend medium roast hits the spot for this wild stallion. No shame.

-Did you know in kayfabe that the Honky Tonk Man was actually really into pop-punk? I saw that dude losing his **** front row at the Warped Tour in 2022 to Jimmy Eat World. /s

Jerry ain’t making the same football plays that Barry and Deion made. That’s all I mean. No disrespect intended at all as he is def a Top 5 WR all time and one could argue the best.

Also, Barry retired way early in his career because Detroit just couldn’t surround him with winning talent and he wasn’t wasting his body. If it wasn’t for that Barry would own every single rushing record that exist too.

Did any of you other degenerates get beat up by Saratoga like I did today? What a friggin’ crapshoot. Licking some wounds . . . like a goat, apparently.

Passed by a goat farm today. Goat farming would probably be a pretty agreeable lifestyle. Goats don’t give a **** about anything.
I recently told my father I was considering more farming in my future. The reason being that I'd rather deal with dumb cows than dumb people because at least the cows were more predictable.

Figurative cocksuckers. Biggest livestock *******.

- Jerry Rice is the best WR, second place isn't close, and probably overall offensive player of all time.

- Randy Moss is the most purely talented. But not close to best.

- LT is the best defensive player of all time.

- Primetime is the best DB. And best quotes:

"Kick it to me, the band is gonna play."

"Water covers 2/3rds of the Earth. I cover the other 1/3rd."

- I think Walter is the best RB, but I'm incredibly biased here.

- Brady for QB.

- Deuce deuce duece for qb

- D8 is pretty good for just puffing on all day. Doesn’t get you lit or anything, just cool. I treat it as a medicinal thing, the benefits it’s done for my anxiety are off the charts. Drop me a line if you also are a middle aged white cis male struggling to make it in this world.

- When the humidity is light on an early July morning, right before sunrise, I feel that fall feel. I know it’s false, but I feel it, and lord if that isn’t one of the greatest feelings there is. Then the humidity comes back like Satans ball sack I and am anxious and depressed again.

- Great, great backyard game for your kids / family time - badminton. An absolute blast. We’ve burned through two cheap amazon sets so far this year. Looking to step my game up to the professional level hardware.

- The reals refer to the birdies as “shuttlecocks.” And a good shuttlecock is made out of real goose feather, not this synthetic plastic ********.

- Goose feathers.

Randy Moss is in fact close to Jerry rice. Come on now. Megatron also.

then again I don’t base my opinion strictly off numbers
I don't either.

And Moss is more talented than Rice. Honestly, I think there are a decent amount of WRs that are more purely gifted than Rice.

But Rice is easily the best because he didn't take one play off for 19 years, out worked, out hustled, and ran the most precise routes ever.

There's a reason he holds about every receiving record. He wanted them and took them.

No Dr. Pepper, no care.

* God bless krazy. My dude is over here dousing a >$100 piece of meat in a soft drink, shitting on Jerry Effing Rice, railing his wife ever morning, running a bourbon business, fostering kids, and living his best life. I'm glad he's around.

* I have that same slicing knife. Respect. Speaking of -- Pure Komachi 2 knives on Amazon are absolute fire for the value. I used to be obsessed with knife sharpening. Now I just buy one of those puppers every quarter and toss one out. I speak from a position of knowledge.

* Belichick scheming his way to getting Brady, Moss, and Wilfork on the same squad was an all-timer. He had arguably the best player of his generation at the three most important (other than arguably cornerback) positions in football.

* PTI may **** on Nicholasville (after living in a city with a 30 foot afro pick) but they've been having live music downtown a lot on weekends this summer. After COVID, it is a joy to see bunches of people gathering and just having fun without a bunch of scowling, nanny ********.

* Speaking of Randy Moss, he should be in the Hall of Fame for this alone. The fact that he's getting into a tricked out Ford truck with a CB radio (or whatever) and lights on the roof takes that one to the Moon. Dude tried to practice in Vibram five finger shoes and the Patriots had to let him because what are you going to do?

-Jerry Rice ran a 4.71 40. I’m pretty sure the biggest DT in this last draft beat that.

What Tommy said was dead on, he was the best but it didn’t have anything to do with god given athleticism.

- I’m glad this was a good one for kooky, still can’t imagine a 50/50 brisket ratio.

Speaking of brisket I was sent to get some spaghetti sauce yesterday and saw brisket on sell at the local Kroger. So I bought 3 at $35-40 a piece and all were originally $95-100.

- Freddy’s burger and frozen custard has free Tesla charging stations.

- When the nieces, their friends and my wife all swim in the same day our skimmer sock is disgustingly covered with their hair. It’s insane how much hair is lost in the pool. I seriously make them clean it the next day it’s that damn gross.

One of them should be as bald as I am now, for real.

Just sayin… I want my product to be adequate to serve a Texas pitmaster. I understand, full stop, my brisket is leagues away from their craft.

Shall I post your DrPepper brisket pic you shared with me?

Jerry Rice might not have been the “most” athletic but let’s not act like he was some gym rat with very little athleticism. Dude was a specimen.

I made a post saying that he was top 5 WR all time and arguably number 1, and clearly stating that wasn’t the point to my post that started this.

I just assume you all are piling on to reminisce which is fine.

He also had that ho that PJ Washington knocked up come speak to his players as an illustration of The Epidemic Of Gold Digging Whores. Wouldn't surprise me if he sent the video of the "speech" to PJ's custody lawyer, either.

<------ big fan of Neon.
