Prefer the cup as well. Ingredients mix better, much easier to eat.

My local truck near work does it that way.

Anyone indulge the new Birria boom? The new thing here is the Birria Pizza, which is essentially a double stuffed massive quesadilla in said style, served in slices w/ broth.

Looks fire.

-A legit Supermercado is a fun shop. We have one here the size of a small Kroger that’s unreal.

Huge butcher counter, Pastor from the Spit, Carnitas roasting, bakery, ice cream shop, Taqueria…and a grandma in the middle at a station making fresh tortillas & tamales to order for close to free.

Mole is wonderful when you can find it. Our newer Mexican restaurant named segunda which makes me think of rudds awful nickname for his daughter every time has a phenomenal mole paired with a great mezcal cocktail *chefs kiss*

  • Playing winter golf as much as humanly possible is a game changer for your game. I’ve taken a big step forward so far this spring/summer after learning to play in the cold and with terrible ground conditions. 80, 83, 82, 83, 82 in my last 5 rounds
  • In 2015, supposedly a dude got 3… THREE aces in one round and says he has 22 total aces in his life. Count me as thinking that is complete ********. I can be convinced you have 10+ in your life if you’re a lifer and on deaths door, but 22 and you’re only 59 years old? And without video I’ll NEVER be convinced you got 3 in one round (2 were par 4s)
  • Gatorlyte (Gatorade + Pedialyte) is surprisingly solid tasting and does the job very well in the heat
  • I’ve defended Barnhart quite a bit in the past… but the last few years he’s really lost lot of favor between his alcohol sales stance and refusal to go all-in on NIL. If he runs off Stoops he’ll need to move to the other side of the country
  • Obi-Wan is fantastic so far
  • I’ve watched ‘Shoresy’ three times now, just an awesome show. Too damn short, the season is basically a long movie
  • Really gotten into Indian food lately… well, one dish anyway; Chicken Tikka Masala
  • Really need to get back and do another Eli Barron … GD those were great weekends and I wanna do it again

I love Chicken Tikka Masala, but it's Indian in the same way General Tso's is Chinese.

- Brothers-in-law are looking to move to Colorado from the Bay area due to the ridiculous housing prices but mostly for convenience sake seeing family. I love visiting them but it’s such a pain getting to-and-from. Denver’s an easy direct flight. Will be nice especially with the girls so close in age.

- Speaking of, they’re visiting in September for the Thursday night Bengals-Dolphins game as sort of an 80th birthday present for my FIL. Perfect time of year here. Grabbed us some good seats at Paul Brown. Just hope some red from Price Hill doesn’t beat up any of my family for wearing Miami gear. I’m being serious.

- My bourbon nerd bonafides are on their last leg. Party Source had Russells Reserve picks - $60 as recently as a couple months ago and occasionally found in the $50 range - for $87. Wtf. Collection is at an all-time low. Hard to find any good **** at all and even more difficult to justify the $$$. Still love bourbon but maybe on the Richie track now. I’m fine with Elijah Craig shelfers.

- Have loved the NBA Draft as long as I’ve been a basketball fan. Remember how pumped I was when Mash went to the Mavs in ‘93. Speaking of, would love to have seen Mash in today’s NBA.

- Anth has me fiending for some Sandlot. May watch it during Dad Hour this weekend.

- Can’t beat summer, collides and some George Strait tunes. Turning 43 next week. Unbelievable. Going to enjoy the weekend and catch a buzz with my wife and friends.

Old Fo 100, OF Rye, OF 1910
EW 100
WR DO
Beam Black Label
4 Roses SBS

That's pretty much my lineup these days. I get a big bottle of the EW and OF 100 about every visit to the store.

- Transfusions are ‘chefs kiss’
- keep it real simple these days… Woodford Double Oaked if it’s brown (or Buffalo Trace if no double Oaked), Corona if it’s not

-I prefer OF 1920 if I’m looking that shelf.

- Wife and I are going to tour 4-Roses while the kids are at a Southern Baptist mission camp. Buffalo Trace was all booked up. Could I still swing by the gift shop at BT if I wanted to? I just assume that I can.

- My son has wanted to play me in horse every night for the last week until he can beat me. He hasn’t gotten more than an H on me and it infuriates him. Gotta earn this one, son.

- I treaded water for two separate 20-30 minute intervals yesterday while my kids played around at a local water park. It was easy and refreshing while doing it, but I’m sore as all get out this morning.

- I’m currently sitting in a waiting room while my son gets his braces on. The daughter gets hers off in a month. It just keeps getting expensiver with kids.

I regularly drink Rose in the summer - it’s fantastic. As well as lots of porch rocker and shandy and when feeling really adventurous some Chardonnay. All with my pinky finger out while having homosexual sex.

Its also tequila season in the Mehico household from May-September. Blanco with the Williams Sonoma Casa Migos mixers is very easy and delicious. Fresh Thyme has some nice skinny cucumber jalapeño mixers as well. Palomas. Anejos and Mezcals for a heavier touch in the evenings with dinner.

Sandlot's a perfect movie.

Otani is easier to watch in our time zone than the Reds

OF1910 is always on the shelf at Sam's for like $45.

Wynn Gummies severely reduced my bourbon intake. I think that's a good thing?

Football Cats lose a ton after this season. I feel like Stoops will jet unless the milked one gets on board with NIL to his liking.

wcc, I’m afraid you’ve been lead astray on rose and have been served some way too sweet cheap crap. I’m happy to drive you around and teach you a thing or two about rose (all day).
I’m not a Chevy … sorry… Montclair soccer mom, Sloot.

Just caught up on the last few days randoms...

* Funny that Mexican Street Corn was a topic on here. I made it on the Blackstone last night along with some Carne Asada and Chicken street tacos. I didn't eat the corn myself because I am low carbing it, but the tacos were excellent. The Blackstone is a fun new toy.

* Had the in-laws over last night for their 59th anniversary. FIL's dementia is up and down, but he had a pretty good night last night.

Marge's brother who lives in California and his wife were in town, too. They are looking for a house. Moving back in a few months. They put in offer in on the first house they looked at and may actually get it, which is no small feat in this market.

Cool house down in Tusculum, which is right near the Precinct for all of you Queen City geography lacking fools.

It will be fun to have them back in town, but my drinking will go up quite a bit. They enjoy a cocktail or 20.

* CRod looking more likely to play a good chunk of the season. I dig it.

* I was always mostly pro Mitch, but his stupid stances on alcohol and NIL have me holding the door open for him. Adapt or get left behind.

* Obi Wan was fantastic. Very well done. The new female villain's first few episodes were cringe worthy, but her character really came around.

* Finally finished staining a barrel for myself and added it to my man cave. Had a nicely legible Cassius Clay Bourbon stamp on the head.

* I completed a set of Blanton's horses and bought a stave with pre-drilled holes for the corks. Now Marge has been buying me Blanton's things... a candle, a flask and some leather coasters.

More importantly, I only have a bottle and a half of it left to drink.

* I can't wait to see how the Reds get fleeced when dealing Castillo and Mahle. Looking forward to the 1 season in 4-5 years when they are competitive enough to narrowly miss the playoffs.

* Big Fishing Derby at the club this weekend. Ava is the defending bluegill champ.

* My munchkin turns 10 on Saturday. We rented out some trampoline place or something. Should be good times. For the kids, anyway.

* Touch Louisville and ADIDAS. I have more respect for what SAE, Richie, Rob & Co. have to endure every day.

Looking forward to beating them by 30+ again.

* Anyone else watch Umbrella Academy? I binged the first 2 seasons during Covid Lockdown and enjoyed it. I guess Season 3 is on Netflix now.

* Oh well, I guess I better get some work done.

Get your everlovin' GYERO on, my friends. Or go touch yourself. I don't care.

Whatever you do, do it well and have fun.

Don’t have a lot of experience but love some Mezcal.
