Chad’s Father’s Day gift was unreal. His wife must really love him. I’ve got (4) kids plus my (2) teenage brother-in-laws I’m raising and all I got was half assed Facebook post! My oldest son did put out an oppo bomb and gave me the ball, so it was a great day after all.

speaking of my oldest, he’s officially a teenager. Feels absolutely nuts that I have a teenage son but here we are. The days are long but the years are short!

ice cold coke and grippos pretzels are my gas station go-to. A tall smart water when I know I’m gonna be out somewhere for an extended period of time.

I think the issue isn’t that we aren’t doing enough for NIL with current players, it’s the recruits we’re losing out on. Football is where it’ll really start to become a problem and FAST.

hot air balloons are just one of those things I could absolutely never see myself doing. Just seeing one floating by gives me extreme anxiety. Who does that ???

My $350 investment into crypto's isn't doing too well right now, though it's much better off than the money I put into App Harvest.

Cooked up a dream meal last Saturday for a fat country boy. Smoked baby back ribs, baked beans, mac and cheese, coleslaw, corn on the cobb, and chocolate pudding for desert. We were sitting down to eat and 20 proof asked when he could have his pudding. I couldn't help myself, so I responded "eat your meat, how can you have any pudding if you don't eat your meat?"... I'm still laughing to myself about it.

It used to be facilities but NIL will become the go-to excuse for coaches. Businesses/fans will get blamed for not "stepping up" and making the same terrible financial decisions we criticize AD's for on coaches contracts.

Others have noted that NIL donors (owners?) - will inevitably start trying to influence PT or other decisions that are within the realm of the coaching staff

Do you believe that'll become an issue ?

Seems like there will inevitably be players that cost significant money yet fail to deliver....OR the player could be going through routine development stages -- yet the NIL stakeholders lose patience with seeing Return on Investment

I don't understand the NIL deals themselves - the nature of the contract vehicles being employed -- how uniform they are from state to state or school to school...

anyone have any insight?

- Man, I went all in on crypto, graded Gregg Jeffries rookies, Weller Full Proof picks and a collection of Jordan 5s so I’m like quadruple F’d.

- Love this new version of corporate customer service where they give you NO WAY to contact them other than the phone and it’s a three hour wait. So of course anyone who isn’t my wife just says F this and takes it as a loss.

- 😂 @ rudd. Elicited a good chuckle from me.

- I mean if you’re going any kind of diet/clean-it-up route, the 16-8 intermittent fast is by far the easiest. No breakfast and nothing after dinner.

- Being a dude may be tough sometimes with the moving help asks and such but at least we aren’t out $4000 every time one of our friends gets married like the ladies.

- Summer as a kid meant:

baseball
wiffleball (non-gameday)
watergun fights
swimming (non-gameday)
playing Commando in the woods
basketball camps
Kings Island

It was the life.

- @RibsAndWhiteBread your little girl is absolutely adorable. What a cutie.

- My wife’s gift was only $40 if you ever want to troll any of your friends for 15 minutes sometime.

The funny part for me is people saying the baseball card industry is coming down but I had a better May than last year. Also, will have a better June as well. Some of these hobos that got white trash rich are screwed though. In a 3-4 years you will see several folks from my industry behind bars.

-fathers day gift: I got a bottle of mustard (a nice bottle) and the opportunity to chastise my youngest for using the phrase "old white men" whilst we were chatting about life. I encourage open discussions with my girls...but no ******** "bumper sticker quips". I regret my initial quip of "I know one old white dude who may not buy you a car now"...funny but unproductive as it highlighted the "problem" of imbalance of power in the world, I clarified my statement/sentiment on the way to brothers farm to see dad.

You talk about food very well - its an oddly
specific trait that i really appreciate im people ....its ALSO the first GYERO conversation i remember too (((ding ding ding....its a snackdown!!))))

"Bumper Sticker Speech" = Demotic Speech....I could bring a George Orwell essay over tonight BUT I SHANT ....cause i know you now & feel like our chemistry is capable of morphing into something like The Shining

Clown - you and i have certain protocols and failsafes ingrained into us that create a VAULT inside our minds --- a compartment for amazing things that simply can't be trafficked like the other streams and tracks of thought......TONIGHT as we drink .,.and hide things in Rudds outside plants ....we acknowledge that compartmentalized place and blow the hinges off in TRIUMPHANT EXTASY OF THE WILL JUST OUTSIDE BILLYRUDDS LIVING ROOM WINDOW!!!!!

Actually - a phased approach might be better there ...:

I may need Woman-Advice fm this "Place"
later --- so if i put it out there dont you fools think for one second that im not serious
(its in the -- "Do women normally get THIS mad about XXX)

Is Mr Pibb still made?
It was always SLIGHTLY better than Dr Pepper

There is a FOREX trader that "friended" me on Facebook. She (more likely a HE) has all but promised adventurous sex the next time I'm in Manhattan (which is a couple times a year). What should I do?

Does that crap EVER work?

Speaking of money. I NEVER balance my checkbook. I don't even get a paper statement. A month ago, I had some erroneous charges on my debit card. Went in and filled out the paperwork etc. but I noticed Acorns taking 5 bucks a week out of my account. I had completely forgot about ever signing up for it.

After some wrangling with them to get my long forgotten login info, I got in there and I've got over 600 dollars in there. LOL

How you never heard of elotes?

Mexican mayo is better for them than gringo mayo too. The proper cheese to use is cotija. Don't forget the cilantro and a squeeze of fresh lime juice either.

Just realized TyTy is the only 1st round graded PG and the NY Knicks are trying hard to get one but may also try to get Dejountae Murray from the Spurs too.

If TyTy goes at 11 to NY that is one helluva jump for a kid that originally had a top 25 grade after the season.

Elote en Vaso ("in a cup", for you simpletons) from the taco truck just last night. Less messy, same flavor, highly recommend.

My new favorite at any authentic truck/taqueria is anything adovada/adobada (seen it spelled both ways). Unreal.

-apparently I deserve this roasting...I'm good with it. It really was delicious.

-used to hit taquerias in the back of Mexican groceries often. I have SIL for that stuff now...and I'll hit supermercado nortenenos butcher counter and make my own fairly regularly.

-al pastor and longanisa* are my go to meats.

*one of my guys told me that this was his fave and I should try it. Went to the butcher counter and asked for langostina...after some confused looks the butcher took me to the frozen seafood section and showed me a box of langosta(lobster). We all laughed at the gringo...and eventually the right word came to mind. Delicious.

Prefer the cup as well. Ingredients mix better, much easier to eat.

My local truck near work does it that way.

Anyone indulge the new Birria boom? The new thing here is the Birria Pizza, which is essentially a double stuffed massive quesadilla in said style, served in slices w/ broth.

Looks fire.

-A legit Supermercado is a fun shop. We have one here the size of a small Kroger that’s unreal.

Huge butcher counter, Pastor from the Spit, Carnitas roasting, bakery, ice cream shop, Taqueria…and a grandma in the middle at a station making fresh tortillas & tamales to order for close to free.

Guess I’m the only one who prefers my tacos from brick-and-mortor establishments.

Mexican Corn has been a staple on Taco night at our house since I got a Blackstone. Chop up a few pieces of bacon, throw some frozen corn in the grease, once it's charred top it with some Tajin, lime, and cotija.
