@august-west our friend got canned as AD at Wichita State. Reason supposedly was he hasn't been fast enough to incorporate NIL. Guy from Murray St is replacing him. Maybe Darron ends up back there.
Heard that last week. Forgot he was still there. Wouldn’t surprise me to see him back at Murray in some capacity. I “think” Chaney is back in this area so it would make sense.

- Of the group of new guys brought in for Jackass Forever, I think Poopies really embodies the original spirit of the show the best. Just unfiltered dumbassery. "You showed you!"

- NBA Draft is Thursday night. Where does the unicorn Chet go? How many future firsts will OKC trade for? What white player will the Pacers reach for? I still have no idea what to make of Chet. A part of me just can't see a dude with his body type holding up and being a star in the pros, but then again, he looks like a smoother Kristaps with ball skills. Praying Sharpe gets drafted by the Kings and fades into Bolivian.

- Bloodsport is probably my most re-watchable movie. It just has a certain goofy charm to it and I guess I'm a sucker for any tournament style sports movie. The kid that plays young Frank Dux might be the worst actor in movie history, he's so bizarre. I can't believe the voice that comes out him and his delivery. How come you coach him but not me? and what kiNND of a deal? are real gems. He makes AJ from The Sopranos look like a young Brando. As an aside, I would gladly pay good money to watch a UFC Kumite style PPV.

- No spoilers, but season 3 of Barry might be my favorite season of the show yet. I still struggle at times with the overall absurdity of the show and go and back between enjoying those moments vs. it taking me out of the more serious elements of the show, but the last few episodes of the season were fantastic. The actor who plays Bunny Colvin from The Wire has a part this season and is incredible.

- Saw the Reds on Sunday. It may be a stretch to put this out there at this point, but I don't think this year's version of the Redlegs are very stellar. Dare I say, they may not even make the playoffs. Baseball kind of sux.

Anyone who describes an athlete as a “unicorn” needs to immediately be kicked in the nuts.

Two things about Chet Homlgren:

1) are we supposed to completely forget about Kevin Durant and Dirk Nowitzki? I mean he’s not the only dude ever who goes 7 foot and can play 2 guard

2) the term “unicorn” should be reserved for single female swingers. Clean it up.

And while we’re at it, yet another plea to men to quit wearing panty hose under your workout shorts. Enough already.

Word on both. If I come across Bloodsport, Road House, or Point Break, I'm 100% in no matter the circumstances. The Romeo and Juliet love story with NoHo Hank absolutely slays me. 😂. I think we are on episode 4.

* So the NOLA afro pick statue that Chief Incel posted is 28 feet tall and 7,000 pounds. That's going to age really well. Is NOLA literally run by people with Down's or something? I've wanted to go down there for a while and was planning a trip when COVID hit. I believe I'll hold out for a bit longer.

* It'aDoneDeal should get infinite racks for the Shaedon Sharpe video. Perfectly encapsulates the UK fans' Shaedon Sharpe experience.

* I can't wait for August when we start getting UK football practice reports. I'm super-mega pumped about this squad, especially if we can cobble together a respectable secondary and receiving corps.

Tuesday Randoms...

- Played golf for the first time in 6 years a couple weeks back at TPC Prestancia in a scramble. Played with 3 guys I had never played with before and they thought I'd be their D player. Turned out to be the A/B player. Hard to judge your game in a scramble but based on everything, I still feel I'm in the 88-92 range. Overall pleased. Had a 6 pack per 9 and a fireball on each 9 so by the end of the round I was wiped.

- Chet may be good but I just would not touch him in this draft. League is gravitating towards playing 5 wings at a time so I'd take Paolo. Chet is just too skinny, don't trust his body.

- Been watching "Turning Point 9/11" on Netflix. Good heavens...some of the footage they got from that day is horrible. God bless those that died that day, especially the firefighters.

- Went out on a boat to Lido Key on Saturday with the kiddos and some neighbors. Got absolutely fried for the first time in a couple years. Nice set up. Neighbor tied up a floating 15'x7' floating mat for the kids to play on. Kids had a Flav-o-ices. Was a perfect day.

- Planning first trip back to Lex the last week of August. Will have been almost 2 years. Parents live in Berea which means 40 min drive up to Lex to see everyone. Luckily, my work said they would spring for a hotel in Lex for a couple nights.

- 9-3 football season with losses to UGA, Ole Miss, and Tenn.

- Siesta Key is so quiet right now. If you can deal with the hot temps/humidity, it's a perfect time to come. Little traffic, room at all the bars/restaurants, quiet evenings.

- Could give 2 ***** about Sharpe.

- TyTy measured in at over 12% body fat?!?! Get it together man...that's higher than the average % of all of us in here.

- My wife is the opposite of most other mom's. Oldest turns 3 in less than a month and she has done 0 planning in regards to her bday party. Think she is just going to wing it. One of the traits I love most about her.

- My big board:

1. Homgren- skilled, plays with an edge, can shoot/pass/block shots, can play with anyone; seems the only thing people don’t like is that he looks weird, ok
2. Smith - dude that size who is a lights out shooter and plays D
3. Sharpe- sorry, he’s going to be an absolute stud
4. Banchero- I don’t love him but fairly high floor
5. Duren- think he has a helluva lot of room to grow as a player
6. Mathurin- hardnosed athletic wing who can shoot a bit
7. Liddell- these dudes always go too late and people are surprised when they’re good
8. Ivey- I don’t know about him
9. Murray - love this kid
10. TyTy - next Cal guy to outplay his draft slot

Fringe First/Seconds Sleepers- Kendall Brown, Kenneth Lofton, Kennedy Chandler

- Hate to say it but with Nance, got to put UNC #1. I’m not sold they just won’t be this year’s UCLA- hot at the right time and then underachieved next year BUT Nance is a perfect replacement for Manek. We’ll see.

- Will any of these studs (football) actually end up at Louisville? What a bizarre turn of events.

I wanted to give him a break, because the guy really seemed to have a great Fathers Day, but wcc’s Big Board sucks.

You’re missing the forest for the trees. The beauty of it is that I offered GYERO a big board at all. My gift is my content and the spoils are the discussion it spurs. Don’t get lost in the ****** evaluation.

Been pretty high on Chet for a couple years now. He's my #1 and it isn't that close.

Don't get what all the fuss is with Ivey. He was pretty underwhelming every time I watched him. Kept me wanting more. I dunno.

Re: sleepers, I think Walker Kessler is being undervalued. Think his skillset is more than what he showed because of the stupid *** Auburn guards this season. He's more than a high P&R guy, imo. He can faceup and spread the floor if you let him.

I also feel like people are overthinking Banchero a bit, and mostly b/c he's already so good & polished -- as if he can't continue to improve all aspects, especially his shot?

I mean the dude is like 6'10/250 and moves like a middle class+ Lebron.

I completely get the Jabari fascination -- but could very easily some Banchero regret down the line.

-Love Ivey.

1. Chet
2. Banchero
3. Ivey
4. Smith
5. Murray
6. Sharpe

Banchero is a ready-now pro. I don’t know that he’ll ever be a superstar or even an all-star, but that dude is going to be a main rotation guy for years. No need to overthink it like dK said.

Mitch Barnhart is gunning for a job at the NCAA, right? These new comments about scheduling FCS teams in order to save college football, WTF?

Sounded just like his take on NIL.

RE: His NIL Comments... he may be approaching it like 90% of schools are, the exceptions being UL, UT, TAMU, and a few others, but please don't make us the face of the reactionary side, when recruits are looking to cash in.

Twister is a classic. We went through a 90s blockbuster phase during boring-*** 2020. The Firm and The Fugitive were also pretty good watches.

Not buying any Chet hype over here. He's more skilled than your average 7 footer, but not skilled enough to be a Durant. Doesn't have the frame to build on to become AD. If I'm taking a risk, I'm taking Sharpe and his high ceiling. Banchero is def the highest floor guy. Already looks like a polished NBA vet, potential All Star.

CWS has been fantastic. Just like with basketball and football, baseball peaks at the college level. Regular season is invisible though. Really wish I could be rooting for the Cats during this. Mingione needs to hit the road.

As soon as we get that first fall practice report about the new DBs showing out, I will have a one-track mind. Front seven is an all timer. Gonna be hard to keep Trevin Wallace off the field. Superstar.

Not skilled enough? lol

Try checking out his Gonzaga mixtape here. Couple of these clips are him banging and doing work down low on your 'highest floor' guy, Banchero.

I have no dog in this fight but let's not be stupid. They also said the same TOO THIN OMGZ **** about Durant after he failed to do one 185lb bench press at the combine.

If you can play, you can play.

Twister is a ‘period piece’.

… and who knew that strategically launching Pepsi Co. products into the center of an F5 tornado would save us all from eternal damnation. (Sorry for spoilers?)

Have a lawball question.

Please message if you get a chance.

Nothing bad, needing to see if I can find out something is final.
