I found it easier to do indirect cooking, because of the shape, and the way the vents are setup. Plus it's cast aluminum so it won't rust. My experience has been that this holds a more constant temperature with less charcoal than the Kettle (and I was a diehard Weber fan for 2 plus decades). It's also easier to clean, because the capsule can be lifted out. Which means you can also use it as a portable grill)

Sold both Big Green Eggs (for more than I paid for them), one after having over 10 years. Used them enough over the years to make it one of the more enjoyable things i'd bought- bought our main was wan an XL and it just takes too long to prep/heat and I havent had time to do any long/weekend cooks where i can devote a lot of time to it.

Just looking to find a nicer gas grill for now- and all of a sudden i'm stressed AF just looking at all of them. Guess you cant go wrong with Weber but its going to get used a lot so I need something with some longevity, without dropping a few thousand bucks... I just really dont need this kind of stress in my life right now.
Camp Chef with side kick. Best of both worlds.

They need to make a round PK. Been using the snake method on my kettle, getting up to 15 hrs without opening the lid. Has worked great. Don't think I could do it on the PK.

F anyone that suggests removing Rupp's name from our arena or program. HARD.

“The taste of charcoal” is code for “I can drink 1-2 beers by myself while ‘lighting the grill’ and that can be the highlight of the day/weekend I’ll NEVER give that up for the ‘convenience’ of gas like a dummy” just FYI
If you’re dedicated enough to can also drink 1-2 beers by yourself while lighting the gas grill.

- I’ll tell you what’s fun, your little boys playing spring flag football. My 7 year old is an Adonis and fast as lightning. He was getting the edge every touch last week. My 9 year old is 98th percentile both height and weight. He can also run. He is playing linebacker and tackling every little ***** Gideon, Carmichael and Phoenix out there.

- Was at the park today, and I saw this ******* step in a huge pile of dog ****. A tall pile of the light tan - looked like the work of a big, virile Lab. His shoe was fu**ed. It was great.

- Anyone ever stopped in Rooster Run? It looks like your common piece of **** gas station. But the big rooster statue is cool. I bet Vern’s mom has snorted an Addie 20 in the bathroom.

- Those Balance gummies will rock your world. I think the cook is putting a little something extra in those.

- How did SAE manage to pull a 69 for his first sexual experience? That’s an all timer. Mine was this fat girl who blew me in the middle of some random living room around 4:00 a.m. But she had some incredible knockers, and man, the first time you get your hands on some of those things, mercy. I had also got high for the first time that night. Big blunt of ditch weed schwegg. It was great. Had to scatter before sunup, couldn’t go home, so got a sack of Whitecastles and sat at the Richwood rest stop on 75, eating whitey’s and burning heaters, until I knew the exact time my parents would be leaving for mass, and I could make it home and slide in bed.

- It wouldn’t take much to make me quit my job and just go fishing every M-F morning for the next six weeks.

- Cooked meals now for seven straight days in a Lodge Dutch oven. I had never considered this thing’s dominance on the stovetop. I really don’t need anything else.

- “I guess that depends on your definition of friend. He's a nice enough fella, but I wouldn't ask to borrow his corduroy jacket.”

- Edit:

Sorry for the multi-post, but it’s a slow night, and I’m effed up and lonesome.

This is a great band. I don’t know what they’re up to today, or if they’re even around. But 10-15 years ago, these guys brought the fire:

Hey, mind your dram.

I’m officially an old. We were in the living room watching Netflix and heard gunshots half a block away, so we spent the next 45 minutes watching four police departments respond and listening to the police scanner. Just standing at the windows like dumbass dads watching a tornado. Suburbia, man.

(3 dudes, one shooter, not caught to my knowledge 😬)

GEYRO LAW BALLS…:.is it legal/illegal to drive a zero turn mower on city streets in KY? How about on sidewalks? Would have to go about 8 city blocks and not on but across 2 decently busy streets. TIA, asking for a friend.

edit: obviously said friend would be sober

There was a guy in Lone Oak whose only mode of transportation other than his feet was a John Deere mower. Obviously he stayed in the LO area.

The city apparently did try to come after us for all the golf carts as you are not allowed to drive those on city streets. But that’s all been worked out now thanks to proper political connections.

Golf carts are a little too WALL-E for me as a lot of the people cruising around on them to make it up to Taco Tuesday at Gustavo’s would be better served by walking the 0.3 miles to get there.

- NFL Draft results, it isn’t the best draft but the titans crushed this draft. We’ll reap the rewards on this one for years! Jon Robinson has that Patriots way in him to draft talent backing up his big money positions instead of overspending on every position player we grow attached to.

Anyone that thinks AJ Brown and Julio for 42M is better than Burks, Woods and Philips for 14M is not paying attention.

Malik Willis in place for 1M when Tannehill makes 26M this year and 29M next year, but has an option that could end the contract after this season, again forward thinking.

Roger McReary DB from Auburn could easily pan out to be the best DB in this draft despite others going as high as 3 & 4.

Add to that Haskins(Michigan RB), OL from OSU that’s a 3 year starter and was a 5* OL out of HS, and the fastest TE in the draft.

Absolutely thrilled!

- Boston/Milwaukee at 1 and Steph/Ja at 330. Shew boy!

I’ll get the ribs going on the smoker, throw those games on the patio TV and get to my yard work.

Perfect Sunday.

- Water in the pool is 70 degree, but jumping in today at some point has already crossed my mind.

- Too much good to care at all about Cal or UK basketball right now.

One thing I have learned over the years is that when a kid goes somewhere else, take everything both sides say with a grain of salt. Both sides have incentive to make each other look unreasonable. The team wants to say “the kid demanded x or we didn’t want him anyway” while the player wants to act like the team wasn’t being reasonable

The truth is usually something completely different. Either way we could have used the kid. Still think we are one shooter away from being really good

I still believe Cal’s “system” on offense and defense can win a title in college basketball. However, it is so out of step with what’s occurring in the NBA that I don’t see him being able to attract the pure talent/athleticism needed to field a roster capable of actually doing so.

If we can assume his pitch as that his program best preps them for the NBA, it is waaaay too easy for the competition to point out the flaw in that logic.
