There may be a chance for extremely limited medicinal (diagnosis of terminal cancer, etc) in the next couple of years. May. Anything more than that with the currently constructed Senate just isn’t going to happen.

Rex, shew.

Rex was a god in Kentucky.

I started my college journey in Fall of 86. Myself, a top recruit in the Mining Engineering program(Lol) and he of course the white dude who played like a black dude (no racist).

His aura on campus was palpable.

Dude went through some **** and I get that.

Mark Higgs supposedly had beef with Rex over dating Mark's sister. Came to blows.

I do know his sister Jenny dated a Cincinnati Bengal who terrorized Rex/Jenny before committing suicide. Anyone remember this guy's name?

WTF happened to Rex though? Too many oxycontin?

Dude is insufferable!

States and Congress have the authority to regulate marijuana. Local jurisdictions in Kentucky do not have that authority because the state hasn't granted such authority.
Marijuana is a schedule 1 narcotic in the US. States that have legalized it simply ignore federal law. Municipalities could ignore state laws in the same way.

80, you would be correct.

Just don't cross state lines. Feds frown on that stuff.

At least they used to.

Correct-Stivers isn’t going to budge, even if 99.9% of the state disagrees with him. He’s much like David Williams, in that regard.

You would think letting the little people have weed and gambling makes it easier for them to continue to use insider info and do blow.

Rex is a world class goof ball now but that 86 game vs Cards in FH was legendary stuff folks. My dad had recorded the game and I must have watched it 3O times that season. 12 year old me and all the neighborhood kids all wanted to be Rex in the driveway shooing hoops. He was an absolute phenom.

What a dog **** performance by Providence so far.

Refs are helping Cinderella out quite a bit here.

No idea what to root for. Cinderella is fun, but also PTSD, and someone has to beat UCLA, UNC, Duke... We're running out of good options.

I’m not watching one second of UNC/UCLA. I would rather vomit repeatedly for two hours until I start dry heaving.

The effing peacocks. JC

Providence just fights. Feels like all year every time I catch them on TV they're fighting for their lives and pulling a win out of their asses. Would be terrified right here if I was a Kansas fan.

No they cannot and you are missing the point. States and Congress have concurrent authority to regulate marijuana. The states that have legalized marijuana are NOT ignoring federal law. They are repealing their own state law prohibitions. In those states, feds are free to enforce federal laws at will. Counties and municipalities do not have the authority to enact ordinances that are in conflict with state law unless the state gives express permission to do so.

Tired of seeing these other programs catch breaks in their bracket or on the court while John Calipari craps his pants on the sideline. This Tournament has me angry and confused. In a really bad place right now regarding this f’ing sport. I need some state legislation or something.
We caught breaks in our bracket in 2018, 2019, and you can argue this year.

I don't know why Louisville doesn't just proceed with marijuana. Personal use is already decriminalized here anyway.
You should be careful advertising that Louisville decriminalized personal possession. We don't want Frankfort finding out 😬

Marijuana is still a Schedule 1 narcotic under the Controlled Substances Act. State laws that have “legalized” marijuana are preempted by federal law. Certainly, states can enact laws to regulate marijuana if they do not conflict with the CSA.

But the CSA does not provide citizens a private right of action. Only the US Government can challenge the state laws. There are a number of circuits that have upheld dismissals of suits brought by private citizens challenging various state laws.

I believe AG Holder (IIRC) issued a memo under the Obama admin directing DOJ not to pursue lawsuits on these state laws.
