Is that you, Brady?

Yes, I think so. They had over 200 inquiries already. In my email I state IF HE COMES BACK Oscar could earn several million if he wants. That will be up to Oscar and how much he wants to do.

I’m here to work my *** for him. My small business will earn some business from the UK fans. But he has to do the appearances and sign.

If other industries step up and do commercials, etc he should make several million. I think in the autograph/collectible space alone we can do a million or two but it comes down to how much they want to do.

6. Kyle Singler
7. Steve Wojciechowski

No Luke Hancock for most unlikeable? Francisco Garcia?

Your list is trash.

I actually low-key dug Garcia's game.

Luke Hancock definitely has a good argument. I thought he was more of a JAG compared to the other guys on the list though so I didn't give him heavier consideration.

I mean, they're all hate-able. I hope they all wake up tomorrow morning swarmed in pubic lice and leeches on their balls. But some are a little less unlikeable.

Battier as likable? He’s easily one of my most 5 hated. Flop, flop, flop.

Battier's charity is actually called the "Take Charge" Foundation. 😄

He seems like a pretty solid dude though. For a star at Duke, he's a lot more likable (or less unlikable would probably be a better way of putting it) than most of the other dudes they've had. He had a pretty workman-like NBA career that I appreciated.

It's sort of the same with J.J. Redick, who I've come to like more listening to him on podcasts/interviews and in retrospect for his overall career. I mean, I hated his guts at Duke, but he was a baller.

- Tony Gwynn. Doesn't hurt that he's my all-time favorite, but I never heard/read one negative word about the guy. About as likeable as it gets.

- I like Peyton way more post-football than I did during his career. I've always hated QB's who show terrible body language when their WR doesn't pull in a pass that was behind/over/ahead of them. Peyton always gave off that vibe.

- I loved the Duke backcourt of Amaker/Dawkins in the mid-80's, so I'm good with them. And while Bobby Hurley doesn't get a pass from me, I'm a big fan of his dad (read "The Miracle of St. Anthony" if you want a great hoops read). But having done a quick glance at the all-time Duke roster, that's it. That's the list.

Also, I had forgotten how many five-stars they've had over the years that never panned out, either on the college or pro level. K really gets a pass for all the "talent" that's gone unrealized during his time there. Shavlik Randolph, I'm looking squarely at you.

- Stayed up to watch MY Kraken get bent again. Man, I had forgotten how lousy it is to be a fan of an expansion team. I'm sure their fortunes will turn around soon, just as they did for my Browns back in the day. 😐

- Rudd, we loved staying at La Fonda in Santa Fe. Highly recommend for location, architecture, all of it.

I have family that can attest to this. Before moving, my Aunt and Uncle lived down the street from him while he was still playing. They too said nothing but great things about him.

I mean, he was a lefty...

Gotta sling a lot more Jose Canseco rated rookies to get a building.

The folks representing the players don’t know what they are doing. In a few years, this will run well but right now it feels a bit dirty how many folks want to get between your $ and the player that has the capability to earn it.

The foreign big from UT is the most unlikeable guy since Ron Slay. This guy came out to Rupp running his pie hole to the students, started trouble several times during the game. He was just an *******. Don’t think he even was a factor other than being an *******.

His name is going up on the medicine ball wall at the football complex any day now. Gotta sling a lot more Jose Canseco rated rookies to get a building.
I recently opened up my box of cards I haven't looked at in years.

Lots of rookie and future star cards. From the bash brothers to Greg Maddox and a lot of others in between.

I have a family member who played in in the Major League. He said Tony Gwynn was the best hitter he has seen. Said Pete Rose benefitted greatly from the astroturf at Riverfront that allowed many of his hard hit bouncers to get him on base.

I asked my wife this morning if the shirt I chose goes with the pants I had on. She gave me the thumbs up and cited the team colors of an NFL team. Another affirmation that I got really lucky in marriage.

Brady what’s the story on how these NIL deals work with the players? Do each of them have agents, are they using handlers, doing it themselves?

Seems like a GYERO Law NIL Agency could squeeze into the market here. Funneling cash to our guys while giving the middle finger to the NCAA sounds like a rewarding position to be in.

  • I added an NIL section into the class I teach, which we just covered this week. The group read it as legal/policy people would so there isnt much nuance- but still prompted really good discussion about its potential impact. Interestingly, they believed one of its biggest impacts would be that it will absolve the Universities from having to explain away improper benefits, hopefully keeping schools out of as much trouble going forward. Leave it to a bunch of nerds to think the biggest impact with a groundbreaking players issue- is in place foremost to primarily help the Universities. Next semester may have to have NIL contributor Bradyjames as a guest lecturer emeritus to give us a first-hand account of how it all goes down.
  • I didnt hate Tick Rogers
  • The trend of wife's friends that bring dinner by once a week after a recent child's birth has paid off well so far. One of those things I didnt realize was a thing, but actually is a really great gesture and one of the ideas that has been the most helpful.

For those that dig Kombucha:

Trader Joe’s has a sparkling Strawberry Lemonade with Apple Cider Vinegar. All organic, 35 calories.

Elixir of the Gods. Wifey cleared the shelves for me.

Might be nice with some gin too. Shall investigate.

Yes, they have agents or representation. So you’re dealing with some characters that have their own best interests at heart. Imagine an attorney that actually had the players best interests at heart along with business owners who do as well. It would be huge.

Bottom line is I just wanna get Oscar’s family to America to watch this thing in person. To see the lives he has impacted. I’ll do it for nothing or some dumb *** NIL deal thingy. Just want to get it done. But you have folks trying to be greedy in my opinion. It’s sad what the almighty buck does to some folks. This isn’t about money. It’s about being a human being. Just doing what’s right in this particular situation. He’s sacrificed enough. Time he gets to be with his family.
