I want him just good enough that he coaches there awhile.

I've said the same thing about Cal and it's worked out pretty well save for one lightning in a bottle year. His tourney coaching gaffes are as predictable as a liberal fubar.

This year could be different, I'll admit. Shorter bench = less substitutions = Cal's coaching mysteriously improves.

Should be interesting.

Cal has had a few bad games in the past few years (K-State and Auburn stand out) in the tournament but is about as sure fire a pick come tournament time since 2009. It's really hard to win a championship. UKO knows this. He's being a contrarian because his ****** eats his desk chair everytime he sits down to post on a message board about a team he loathes.

Something else to add to the quiz, @Century Cat :

Good stuff, wcc. So Holden Thorp admits The Carolina Way was a fraud - :D

Also, a nice gratuitous shot at U of L and how they joined the ACC.

Baseball season needs to be shortened anyway. Start in May when it’s consistently warm. This delay hasn’t crossed my mind yet, not once.

Those are mainstream acts, Rudd.
Something else to add to the quiz, @Century Cat :

I’m friends with Joe Ovies from that show. He loves throwing barbs at Carolina. He simply cannot pronounce Calipari the right way and it drives me bonkers though. Not that difficult, dude.

Speaking of ethnic groups and killer parties…

When I was in undergrad I worked weekends in Smyrna at Asurion on the loading dock. **** ton of Laotians worked there. Went to a couple of their parties. Huge amounts of food, booze. Live music and a DJ. The hosts walking around with shots on silver trey’s and if you didn’t take one every time they’d get super offended.

Loved me some Laotian parties.

- What. A. Freaking. Win.

- Pulling out my wallet--with a solid Keeneland golden logo--this time of year always makes me want to:

* take exit 5B off of New Circle
* fist pump
* Chug that road beer (not driving)
* turn right onto the hallowed grounds.
* turn the windows down and hear a party going on The Hill.
* roll into parking lot.
* share cold ones with the best of the Commonwealth.
*round up the crew to head to the track.
*share another cold one or two with random groups.
*pull our Mattistics (a nerdy spreadsheet made from speed figures, trainer/jockey combos, etc.) and try to bet the first race while walking to track, but data sucks.
*share another cold one or two with random groups.
*still trying to bet that maiden race.
*TVG app sucks here.
*someone in the crew will not keep up with the crew. We are not going to make this bet.
*finally make it up and go through turnstile and getting our first approach of the Paddock area. It's still just as beautiful on the 500th view as it was the first time.
*bet was made and time to have a fun 5 hours.
*profit

- Speaking of which, Epicenter (Risen Star winner) looking like my early Derby pick. That dude dominated yesterday. Word is still out on Jack Christopher, though.

- One product I continue to see on shelves, but wonder if it's ever bought: King Vitamin cereal. Anyone in GYERO eat this on the regular?

- MattsCats Swag Rankings:
1. Frank Sinatra
2. Ric Flair
3. Dean Martin
4. Hugh Hefner
5. Elvis

- Thirty-eight years later and I'm still salty that Jack Tripper and Janet Wood didn't end up together on Three's Company.

- When I think of seats in stadiums/arenas, the yellow seats at Riverfront Stadium are ones always seemed like an enigma. Were they elite seats? Just seemed like 3 or 4 rows just randomly placed. Blue seats for the win.

- I miss spending 30 minutes in a video store on a Friday night with a crew of friends renting 2 or 3 movies to stay up all night. Bonus for getting a bag of popcorn and M&Ms.

- This UK team has a lot of guys that give me boners. Man crushes all over this roster.

- Cake. Is. Baking.

Baseball is something I used to wish I could get back. I tried over the years, and even had bouts when I'd pay attention for a couple months and enjoy broadcasts, but it never keeps. I've now accepted that it is a relic of my childhood, and it's not coming back for me.
Soon as your little dude gets into it, you'll be right back. Baseball dad is good place in life. Especially since we have some really fun young talent in MLB.

I got you covered. I'll DM you...

Check out our Airbnb, which sits on 52 acres and has stupid views. It's about 45mi from both Santa Fe and Taos.

We could realistically get 2 more years of Oscar now.
If Cal wants to innovate, getting great college players without much NBA potential and letting the BBN pay the **** out of them to stick around for 3 or 4 years is the way to go -- especially if he can still add one or two surefire NBA lottery picks every year.

That's a newfangled version of what we thought we were getting when Cal arrived at UK.

DeLucia’s Snackdown:
  • Place opens 2:30 on Sunday.
  • Got there at 2:30
  • They don’t answer phones - cute
  • stood on line for 30 minutes.
  • Wife and kids stood patiently in cold
  • line moves quickly.
  • get inside, person says - you can order now, but your pies come out in 2.5 hours and you can’t stay here.

that may be fine if there’s something to pass time in ****** Raritan.

we boogied. No pies. Eff you. Eff your 9.4, which is ******** judging by the crew I saw crafting the pizzas.

pepes / sallies / diFara / Arturo’s / Razza that’s the list.

they at least know how to run a restaurant instead of these stupid goombahs.
