- With a new Wildcat Lodge or at least renovations on the horizon, I think the powers that be should look to the interior design of Drake’s condo and just copy it as best they can (substitute for the color blue where appropriate). What young hooper would want to live anywhere else? They’re worth it. Let them live like it.
Those rich rich super mansions seem so massive to the point of being depressing and lonely. Sleeping on a California King with 20 foot ceilings and vast space all around just sounds like a depressing endeavor. I mean, I'd like to have the money to find out, but those spaces just seem ominous.

What do you and the other architects/builders think? And I'm just talking in the context of living spaces.

Not much being said about Howard grabbing Gard by his shirt collar, but IMO that alone should warrant at least a suspension. And that was before Howard had to be held back and before the head slap attempt. Don’t think I’ve ever seen a head coach at this level grab another head coach like that.

-Sucks to lose Coen but in the end your assistants getting constantly hired up is a really good thing. FHFCMS got this.

-Rex is a loser. I don't know what else you need to see from him. He's extremely dumb on top of being a selfish *******. Pretty remarkable combo. Too bad you all that had Rex as your hero weren't born a few years later so you could have a real hero like Mash.

-They both acted like ******** but a coach can't take a swing at a guy. That's a fireable offense, IMO. They'll probably just suspend him.

-Speaking of baseball dad. 2 hours of catch/drills/hitting into net yesterday morning and 1.5 hour sandlot practice in the afternoon. Gorgeous day. My soul is starting to get it's spark back.

-Lex Live is a really good addition to downtown and gamedays. So much room in that place rather than being crammed into the Hyatt. TVs everywhere. Arcade for the little guys.

-This team has become the most likeable of the Cal Era. That win Saturday will rank among my favorite ever. UK fans appreciate basketball and we hate when it's being disgraced with immaturity and lack of effort. You just never see it with these guys. No sulking, no plays off, just all out effort and lunch pale mentality. To beat a streaking bama team without your 2 of your 4 best players and no PG. It's just a joy to watch them, even with countless injuries and an elite prospect sitting out. Maybe it's because we've had so many issues the last 7 years but I'm just smitten with this cast. Oscar plays a big role but then you have: Wheeler, the exact pest guard that always abuses us, Washington a mature freshman who is tough as nails and understands his role(also calls Grady Grandpa), Grady the best shooter who is so concerned with the team he won't take a bad shot, Mintz the old dude who got his teeth kicked in last year and deserves this, Poppin/Brooks are good dudes essentially taking turns with flickering light bulbs.

I'm just really happy UK fans were right about how to build a team.

-Hank is an absolute f*cking unit. #teamhank (please don't hurt anyone Hank)

RE: Most Likable Cal Team

It’s actually right there in the conversation. I’d argue ‘12 first then ‘10 but our chemistry, passing, up-and-down aesthetically pleasing style, individual skill sets, and individual personalities put it right there.

Yeah, no shade to 10, 12, 15, 17, 20 but these guys just do it the right way, cliche as it might be and they're anchored by probably the best personality we've ever had here. For some reason they just make me happy.

That offense on Saturday, without a PG and playing 2 PFs, was just awesome. The movement was amazing.

Don't ruin this, Vern73.

Yeah. We really could (should?) have been down cot damn 30 early. I couldn't believe we kept scoring, and scoring, and scoring with such rag-tag lineups...JUST to keep it under 15 for the majority of the half.

That was the most impressive part. We just kept playing. Like we didn’t even acknowledge their hot streak or know the score. Unphasable so please don’t try to phase me.

I'm not ruining ****. I'm just saying the guy knows what he's doing. Last year was an epic disaster and he responded appropriately. He will frustrate us in many different ways as long as he is here, but I get pissed when people act like he can't coach and he doesn't care about winning. And we still heard that ******** in the first 15 min of the Bama game, in the midst of a great season.

Cal deserves criticism. Yourself and Geese are among the best at pointing out the things that need improvement. But the unnecessary Cal bashing will not go unanswered. This aggression will not stand!

I’m going to be on Team Vern. That Alabama game gave me some perspective. I’m going to just enjoy the ride from here on out.

Losing Coen is big. He’s the first OC Stoops hired (still feel like Neal was sort of forced on him) that gave us a modern passing offense that attracted elite WR and QB prospects. Please hire someone in that same mold.

Juwan Howard should probably be fired but he won’t be. Rest of the season long suspension is coming though. That doesn’t mean Wisconsin ain’t a bunch of honkey bitches.

Ed Davender > Rex always and forever in this fan’s heart. Just please stop taking potshots at him over his addiction addicts. Everything else is fair game imho.

Busy this week. Real busy. Stay golden pony boy’s.

Cal (and staff) deserve a ton of credit. They've been a joy to watch. I will say the most impressive thing this season has been sticking to the early offense and getting good shots within the rhythm of the game. I've seen much less stall ball, sitting on lead type ******** offense this season. That has always been a huge source of frustration for me.

Now, they take (mostly) good shots without running down the shot clock. I think having a veteran team makes a huge difference in that regard. They've been through the wars and know what is a good shot -- and more importantly -- what isn't. He trusts these guys to make the right plays and has really taken it easy on the micromanagement of the offense. Props.

Also, shortening the bench has proved to help on-floor chemistry on both sides of the ball. We got a lot of good kids on this team who share the ball and don't sulk when they don't get PT.

As a Kentucky Basketball fan, you can't ask for much more. I've enjoyed the ride this season and believe they're likely to cut the nets down as anyone else.

Just trust them when it really counts, Cal. They've earned it.

I think the game Saturday went a long way in helping me get over 2015. I know how stupid that sounds. It was a regular season home game against Alabama. BUT the Wisconsin game had put a jaded hex on me. A lot of us. I was furious in that first half. I was **** talking cal. I was pessimistic about our seeding. I was already mad about getting paired up with auburn in the semifinals of the SECT. So I turned the game off and left the house. Didn’t turn the radio on. Just drove to the car wash and tried to forget about the game. But they had it on inside the car wash. Can you believe that? And I saw we LEAD. What?? Are you kidding? Impossible! I couldn’t believe it. In that moment I vowed I won’t doubt this group again. They’ll lose again. It’s inevitable. But GD it this group is special. Unlike any we’ve had since at least 2015. I’m not over the Wisconsin loss but this team is a step in the right direction.

This is my favorite Kentucky team in probably 20+ years. Not only in their style of play, but they’re just all really likable funny guys. not sure we’ve ever had a top-to-bottom collection of dudes like this THAT CAN ALSO PLAY! how about that?? My kids went to one of the summer basketball camps and my 10yo went and got everyone’s signature on a basketball. That puppy has become my most prized possession!

SAE - anth is right. Baseball took a very long backseat in my life until my boys got into it. Sign him up for tee ball as soon as he’s eligible and it’ll fall back into place. Me and my boys are planning to do a fantasy league this season, assuming the mlb gets their **** together.
