As a life long Rams fan I’m going to enjoy watching Aaron Donald and Von Miller destroy that cocky little **** Joe Burrow and put the city of Cincinnati back in its place in the sporting world.

Nice story for the long suffering Bengals fans in GYERO but in the real world Goliath wins more often than naught against David.

F Kansas and everything about them. Phony coach, phony *** basketball culture and history. Nice to see them bitchslapped around in the “greatest environment in all of college basketball”. Cats are going on a run now. Don’t know where it ends but I like my team.

In personal news, I’m engaged to the Brazilian lass (who it turns out her family is way richer than I thought but it’s Brazilian money so it’s like playing monopoly I guess) and I’m going to be a father again at 40. What a frigging ride.

I’m just going to apologize to Kooky and even Hank for being an *******. Neither of you deserved me being a dick.

Stay golden Wildcat Friends.

Public service message…

As a happy reminder, if you do decide to come out here to the Super Bowl, please make sure you are vaxxed. You won’t be able to get into the game, or any restaurant for that matter, without showing proof. It’s an alien world for a lot of people, I know. But a harsh miserable reality for those of us living here.*

* If you are governor of California apparently you don’t have to wear a mask at the game.

You have to show vax cards and ID to get in. And you have to wear a mask. At a football game it’s hard to regulate given the size of the space and the alcohol involved. But I did go to the UCLA game the other night and it was pretty much 100% compliance. Smaller arena. And they were using a 3 strikes rule and you’re out.

Cincinatti is a provincial town with not a lot going for it.

LA is a world class city home to millions with varied rooting interests and a team that just returned to town five years ago and is still trying to rebuild a fanbase that was gutted and angry when Georgia moved the team to St. Louis.

Everyone has been rooting against the Rams since the season started. They were a prohibitive favorite to make and win the Super Bowl at the start of the season. They played in the toughest division in the NFL and came out on top. They are Goliath compared to the Bengals.

Shorts:

- Rolled into downtown Louisville and there was a buzz in the air. People headed to Yum for Duke-Louisville. Game on in bars. People cheering. Just a great winter atmosphere.

- People will **** on Tin Roof but I’ve never had a bad time at one (besides the Indianapolis location which can burn to the ground as far as I’m concerned). Always a good spot to catch a Wildcats game.

- Look if Brooks is going to punish teams who key on Tschibwe, people aren’t touching us.

- We’ll drop another couple in this conference but this is a championship level squad. We just have so many ways to score on offense and a defense that keeps improving. Grady has been very good of late guarding people

- Tschibwe is a true anchor- solid D, obviously the rebounding, but just gives us so many more possessions. He makes everyone better.

- And we just keep on coming at you - a credit to Wheeler. We pressure the D. And we pass so well- a nod to a skilled team. Wheeler, Washington and Grady know how to play the game.

- Mintz hasn’t been great but he’s not going to stay down. He’s going to get hot. Maybe saving it for March.

- Pretty notable and actually makes quite a bit of sense that UK’s season turned pretty much as soon as Chase stopped posting.

- Again, I just can’t believe the Bengals. When you’re a fan of this franchise, you expect the worst. When you talk about your team, your bitterness always seeps through. To have a cultural change like this is incredible. I know Burrow is a stud but the way our D has turned it on is incredible. Going to be a fun couple weeks in the Queen City. To the believers, I tip my cap. I wasn’t one of them. After that Steelers playoff loss, I was all but done. I was so disgusted. Obviously, I thought Burrow would be good and eventually have a chance to reverse 30 years of ineptitude. But this quickly and this boldly? Unbelievable.

- And I couldn’t have been more wrong about Zac Taylor. Thought it was an absurd hire. Thought he was in over his head. These dudes play for him.

- Gotta love how Ickey Woods in Cincinnati is like the former high school star in some po’dunk town who hit the game winner against the crosstown rival back in ‘88. Just living off that his whole life. 😂

There has never been a more guaranteed make from 3 than the play where Wheeler just dropped it off to Grady at the top of the key on the delayed break. They both saw it before the ball crossed mid court. Players knew it was good, coaches- anyone else watching. There was 100% chance Grady buried that.

The only tense time Saturday was about a 3-4 play series in the second when we just refused to do anything against the zone, aside from dribble the arc and hand it off to each other. Once Brooks got to the open space and made a play- the game was over with.

I've shared these as a nice little morning after drink mix. They are pricey and taste bleh- but seem effective against the impact of John Wall shots. As well as decent hydration mix for mild covid cases.

I have long criticized Cal for the seemingly total inability to attack a 2-3 zone, but even though it wasn't as good as it could have been, our guys (particularly Brooks) were exploiting the holes Saturday night. Brooks, Grady, and TyTy should feast on a 2-3 zone.

MoC grew up on the mean streets of Cleveland/LA/Saint Louis so don't cross his beloved Rams.

I became a Rams fan when my dad was still in the Marines and stationed out in San Diego. We stayed in Kentucky while my mom was finishing her Master’s. I flew out there with my uncle and we spent a couple days in LA and went to watch the Rams plays and I was hooked.

Erik Dickerson, Ed Davender and Ozzie Smith were my Gods when I was in elementary school.

Yea the guy that owns NEAT actually helped me get started. His contacts overseas are just incredible. I’m worried for him being so dead set on just dusty’s for that place, but I’ve seen his stash and would say he has at least 2-3 years worth stocked now.

The place is a great addition to bourbon.

* I was busy watching my 4th graders get blown out during the Kansas game, but I managed to avoid knowing the score until I watched the recording later that night. I was doing shots all by myself. wcc you should be ashamed.

I'm just glad I didn't get blamed this time. I do wish I was there with you guys, though.

More importantly... what a complete, thorough, businesslike *** whooping.

* I know Mintz hasn't been scoring like he can, but his aggressiveness seems to turn us up a notch. We don't miss a beat when he is out there, more often that not.

* Brooks was fantastic, and not just his scoring. More of that, please.

* geese feeder's examples of Oscar hustling his *** off on D are all that need to be said about his effort.

* TyTy and Mintz combined for 2 points and we blew them out in Allen Fieldhouse. Amazing.

* Who Dey! Unreal and a long time coming.

They just don't quit.

I had Lewis Billups flashbacks when they dropped that potential pick 6 in OT.

But, they found a way.

* As soon as the game was over, I had to jump out on my patio to make smash burgers for a hungry crowd. Somebody was shooting off fireworks, I mean big ones. Random shouts of Who Dey were coming from every direction. It was fantastic.

* I sneakily drank about half a bottle of Weller Antique during the game. I planned on doing some work last night and couldn't do it until around 2am. There may be a few errors in Toyota's digital assets in the Seattle/Tacoma region this week.

* Who is the new OL coach going to be? Big hire that is needed pretty quickly because we still need some portal help at tackle.

* I'll be working late tonight if anyone wants anymore hot takes.

Have yourself a day, my friends.

Lifelong Bengals fan here and I'm concerned that I now believe the Bengals will win the Super Bowl.

I certainly didn't feel that way going into yesterday, and midway through the first half turned the tv off, lectured my 10 year old son how he should not be a Bengals fan, and so forth.

If we start to believe, does our luck change?

I feel like Mintz is hunting his shot like Cal is pushing Grady to do. Sometimes it isn't in the flow of the offense but usually it's a good shot that just doesn't fall.

Have a feeling his time will come. How many teams have a 5th year guard at the age of 24 they can just pluck off their bench?

Sharpe probably should play eventually but to say this team "is one player short" is horseshit.

Bengals are 3-0 in AFC championship games. That is kind of crazy.

I feel best for my stepdad. He has been a fan since their inception, had season tickets til MB priced him out, and went to the first 2 super bowls. He is scheduled for heart surgery that they keep pushing back due to covid so it is great he gets this now.

Mintz will be fine. He had a 6 game stretch before the Auburn game where he averaged 12 per game.

He gives us 8-10 with 2-3 assists per game, we good.
