My daughter’s bus spun out today and got stuck in a ditch. I heroically braved the conditions and ran over 3/4 of a mile down a shut down hill to rescue her and our neighbor's children. I assume I'll win some sort of medal.
Weren’t you bragging about NTI? Is NC different than the county, because I thought everywhere was closing or opting for NTI.

- Spent yesterday at the ER and Walgreens so long I about passed out driving home from being so weak/fatigued. They gave me some cough suppressant and combining that with advil and I’m just now coming to from 9pm last night.

I gots the COVID.

- Of course when I got home I had parked purposefully to block everyone’s cars in. This snow wasn’t a secret as of last night, but my wife and nephew both acting like brats because they can’t get out. Your welcome!

Also my truck is 4WD and has monster tires so if you did have to get out I’d just assume you drive that than a Honda coupe or Kia Telluride. Either way, shut the door and leave me alone!

My kids are JCPS. JCPS leadership is scared shitless about going to NTI now as the parents will go crazy if they ever do that again. What I was saying is that if we go to NTI the Dougan clan will go to Colorado to ski.

By the way, @krazykats - I do hope you feel better soon!

Yeah, well if it’s anything like my household I wouldn’t hold your breath.

Greta gonna cancel all you backyard smoke pit people for causing more pollution than cows burping.

Enjoy the 2 days of cold and snow. 40’s over the weekend with more rain.

Lined pants in the winter is the only way to go, Rudd.

RANDOS:

- Not worried about our hoops Cats, gang. It's like when you get ice from the fridge and one falls on the floor. Is anyone looking? Just kick it under the fridge to melt and forget about it.

- I think Alanis Morissette's "You Oughta Know" is in discussion for the best "F*CK YOU" songs about an ex. Actually, I think Jagged Little Pill could be an all-timer.

- Gun-to-head, I'm going thin-crust, pep and sausage if I'm ordering a franchise pizza. I'll eat thick crust, so it's all good.

- I was watching the Tayshaun 5 three video today, and Marquis Estill could have really messed that up. He fumbled an interior pass that I KNOW he was going up with, and gave it up when he got it back. Go back and watch it.

- How awesome was it to hear that you had a snow day coming as a kid? I had my NES/SNES fired up, and calling buds to come over and spend the day; maybe the next night? Pizza, pops, Baseball Stars/Tecmo Bowl.

- Underrated feeling: putting on a new pair or socks. I am team "no show" pair.

- Trying to plan a country-wide trip to see all of the big horse tracks. Listen, nothing will EVER compare to Keeneland, but don't think I wouldn't get a hard-on or tear up at Del-Mar or Saratoga. That's my exacta.

- Christ, I am pushing twenty years of lurking/posting on this place. I think I've met maybe, 3 of you all, but, doesn't matter.

Seems like family.

When a big snow hits I always think back fondly on 2/4/1998. A "dusting" was forecasted the night before. Fast forward and I hear my roommate exclaim "holy ****" when he opened the blinds at University Commons the next morning. Snow drifts in excess of 3 feet. No class all week. Dug out to go get kegs for a week long snow party. Good times!

Love Del Mar, been twice.
Santa Anita is cool with the facility, backdrop, walk from hotel, down main street to track. No car or Uber needed once you get to Acadia.
Need to hit Saratoga.

Everybody who’s anybody knows Matt Damon’s best role was Tom Ripley
Underrated opinion but correct. Also think Damon kind of sucked as Will Hunting. The stand out in GWH (besides Robin Williams) was Affleck.

I'm just here for movie takes.

-I figured some of the parents here would “save” their children from a snowy car wreck like Tony Soprano “saved” Christopher…

-“Touch It (I Don’t Want You Back)”-Eamon and
“Cry Me A River”-Timberlake also in the mix.

-Estill was never going up with that shot, @Blue63Madison ’s grandma was all over that.
