Love the go kart idea but doesn’t seem optimal in a NYC suburb. Hope it works out for the kid.

Merry Christmas!

We do this really odd thing where we get up and let our kids open presents and see everything from Santa, then tell them sorry Mamaw&Papaw are fixing breakfast so we have to leave all your new stuff here until 2-3pm when we get back.

Really makes them HATE going to Mamaw&Papaw’s but they are a stubborn people and won’t quit this “tradition” for nothing.

Granted I now pack 7 kids instead of 4, to go see these people cook us breakfast and I even offer every year to just start making the food myself to save them the mess.

They just refuse!

Cracks me up every year to hear them tell my wife how ungrateful our kids are when all they want to do is eat as fast as possible and leave!

You bet your *** they are going to pack that **** tight.
Just like your buttplug collection?

My nieces (7 and 1) absolutely cleaned up. The ultimate prize was an inflatable bouncy castle that I put together and played with them in for about an hour. They will sleep well tonight and I might need a chiropractor.

My pops has been in really bad shape the past year or so. He has made a slow and steady comeback. He was actually able to come to Christmas dinner for awhile and spend some time with the grandkids/family.

I’d arranged for his name to be above the Medicine Ball Wall at the Football facility. Been a ride or die UK football fan since 1962! Really was awesome to see him happy for a bit.

It’s awesome that you are able to do that for your father. He will always be a part of the program. Merry Christmas to you and your family Nathan.

When my brother got married his wife had a 2yo little girl. He’s been her “dad” ever since, her real dad is a piece of ****. Anyway, today she gave him a card that had a sticky note at the bottom that said “lift”. On the card she wrote that he was the best dad a girl could ever ask for and that she had a question for him. Under the sticky note it said “will you adopt me?” She is finally old enough that the “other side” can’t object to it, which they have for years. Needless to say not a dry eye in the house.

I know it’s FB material but I couldn’t have been more proud or happy for them both.

Russ with a triple double!

However, should it be celebrated when the ‘greatness’ is attached to a smooth 4 of 20 from the floor and a teamworst dogshit +/- of -23 in an embarrassing loss to a Durantless/Kyrieless Nets squad?

The triple double is obviously a ******** stat. +/- is the best indicator of value.

My Christmas present this year. (Vintage mint, not one of those 180 gram re-releases)

Didn’t watch the game at all and I get the value of +/- so clearly 4/20 with 5 fouls is going to be bad overall. What I’d say as a fan or a coach is at least he doesn’t let that kill his effort which rebounding shows, and at least he still was dishing it at a solid assist/turnover ratio(which is usually his problem) 11 to 3.

I’d also say that without AD these lakers are trash! Sadly with AD they aren’t much better either.

Boxing Day Randos:

- Taking this thread back to the random right here.

- It’s remarkable how much more I enjoy the NFL when I don’t have a full work week starting me in the eyes.

- Found out my father-in-law’s longtime boss owned Northern Dancer.

- Rainy and 50 all week here in NoCal. Getting cabin fever already.

- One of my favorite annual news stories - Webster’s adding new words to the dictionary. “Holy **** - Websters added ‘frenemy’ this year!!! No f’ing way!!!”

- Minneapolis is the nicest airport I’ve ever been in.

- Was in Dallas a couple weeks ago for wife’s company Christmas party. Wasn’t a big fan of the city - basically Buckhead/Atlanta - but I’d put it #1 in the striking amount of smoke you randomly come across. Would be a good spot for Bonzo or Tommy.

- Also walked past Wright Thompson in the Dallas airport coming out of the john.

- The SEC Network doc on the voices of the SEC was outstanding, and of course Cawood had a segment.

- Does Kansas play 35 home games a year? Jesus Christ.

- I have always found Cameron Diaz’s personality rather off-putting.

- All things while in uniform considered, could Tschibwe be the second best big of the Calipari era?

-Re: Minneapolis airport, got stranded there because of an ice storm like 15 years ago on the way out to ski/ride in Tahoe. All flights canceled. Fortunately, I was smart enough as a young whippersnapper to go get a hotel immediately. They gave me one right next to the airport, kept the bars open an extra two hours as well.

Well this gal cozies up to the bar and starts talking me up how she has to sleep on the floor because hotels rooms are full. Mentioned that I was lucky and got one. After a few rounds, she asks if she can sleep in the couch in my room and I said sure I’ll take the couch you can have the bed.

We end up doing the sex all night and never slept but was a great time for an early to mid 20s rogue for sure. She was a little older and def experienced.

Make it out to Tahoe and have a friend request from her on FB. I click on it and she’s a marine…married to another marine. FFFFF*********kkkkk me. Did not accept that request obviously felt bad but I’d be willing to bet it wasn’t her first time doing that.

-Dallas has lots of good things about it(lived there for a whole month) unfortunately the worst part of Dallas is the people, definitely lots of smoke there though. Everyone there is a 30K/year millionaire; they make 30 something K a year but have to keep up appearances so they plunge into debt to act like they are loaded, pretty solid life plan….

Now Ft. Worth is a much better area with chill laid back people. Much more Kentucky-like than Dallas.

-Watched the Sec Voices as well and super cool to see all the different people in the south that grew up like many of us listening to games on the radio.

-Pretty sure I ate 5,000 calories yesterday. Even smashed cookies which I never really eat just because I don’t really enjoy sweets or chocolate. Staying on the 💨 all day was definitely the culprit and letting loose for Christmas of course.

-My nieces and I playing with my pup was the highlight of my holidays. They love him and he thinks they’re the coolest little people ever. Before them he was weary of children.

-Brother was in full conspiracy mode last night and it’s always entertaining. “Did you know “they’re” this >-< close to making the matrix real?”
“Do you get headaches?” “Never, why?” “Because they’re using radio waves to control people, they can get you through walls. They can make you hurt or even kill other people.”

Only one I could entertain was that everyone having to get a vax is a prelude/precursor/trial run for getting everyone chipped one day, which honestly is probably an inevitably some day down the road. But having the govt or whoever always know where you are and how you spend every dime would not be okay.

-Gyms are back, LLLLLLLEEEGGGGGGGOOOOOO!!!!

Unrelated, this whole head bobbing thing on stories, reels, etc is touching dumb. How bored do people get? Wow.

^Says the guy pushing 10K posts on a miscellaneous, college sports message board…
