Split family here, dad’s side is Tennessee. Mom’s side is UK. Tennessee fans are the worst with only one exception….IU fans.
Also the rupp arena renovations have to be the biggest waste of money in the history of uk atheltics/city funds. Its like we bricked our vinyl home and feel like we accomplished something. Awful.
The city isn't done with its plans. Still finishing the linear park that connects all the bike trails, then doing the big park and amphitheater at the Cox St lot. The Lexington Center is adding a soccer stadium too.
If I remember correctly, UK submarined any additional upgrades that would have been done to the inside of Rupp by requesting the state legislature not fund them. Capilouto was worried money would go to that instead of directly to the university.

One of the dumbest moves ever by the idiots in charge of the Civic Center was literally throwing away all 10,000 of the original lower chair seats in Rupp Arena. I ended up paying $50 for a chair to some dude named ukcheezwhiz (on this message board) who had dumpster dove and salvaged several. Huge financial opportunity pissed away.
