My 2 year old has pushed my wife’s patience to the extreme edge and she is by far the most patient person I have ever seen in my life. I’m scared.

My favorite soup is the veggie soup at the dixie stampede in Gatlinburg. That stuff is unreal.

chilli is not a soup, in the same way a hot dog is not a sandwich. There are exceptions to every rule and these are some examples of those.

my daughter uses that “good soup” line all the time. I think it’s a meme on TikTok or something. Cracks me up.

halloween was fun. Went to the pumpkin patch, ate some chilli, watched a few more creepy movies. Kids Trick or treated w some pals, I enjoyed some 100 proof apple cider. Just really trying to soak the good old days in. Love seeing the kids in costumes on Facebook. Such a nice break from the usual ******** most people post. Facebook days ranked:
1. Halloween
2. First day of school
3. Christmas Eve after santa stops by
…..
365: Election Day

Speaking of Santa, every year I convince myself that I’m gonna do a better job of the following year of getting presents done early. Welp, it’s November 1st and I ain’t got **** bought. It is the most wonderful time of the year tho. Amazing how quick 2021 has gone by. Getting older is crazy. Tree goes up this week.

Pro tip from my friend in freight forwarding: order your Christmas gifts yesterday.

Everyone in my family is getting the old school card/cash combo. Short, sweet and if you don't like it then give it back and I'll buy a sixer while you watch me drink it.

- My co-workers have been fighting over this soup thing for the last 3 weeks. Funny it has come up here. It's basically divided into 2 camps:

1. Those who do think soup is a meal (women)
2. Those who don't (men)

- Related: Pad Thai - soup or nah?

- Also related: My dad made a seafood gumbo that was unreal. I need to try out his recipe so the legend can continue. His best friend went down and stayed at dad's place in PCB. He went deep sea-fishing and put some of his catch into a seafood gumbo his wife tried to replicate from my dad's recipe. They've set aside some for me and I get to drive over to my hometown and pick it up tonight.

I have to go over anyway for the visitation of one of my good buddy's father. Life is tough, but there are enough joyful moments that make it all worth it as long as we don't overlook them.

- Awkward transition: this friday, I went out with my best friend who was in from out of town. They were there for a soccer tourney so our families plus a few others all went out to eat. It became apparent midway through dinner that a single dad was heavily flirting with my wife. What do you do in a situation like that?

I felt pride, myself. The guy was a nice looking crossfit type, really trying to impress everyone at the table, but really seemed to be talking directly to her. She found it uncomfortable, but I found it flattering!

- Still pissed about that damn game. It's one thing to slip up and have a team sneak by you. But to come out so lethargic and have it turn into an absolute blood-letting? What in the hell is going on, guys?!

- "Would ya just taste the soup?"

"What's wrong with the soup? Soup too hot? Soup too cold?"

"Would ya just taste the soup?"

"OK. Where's the spoon?"

"Aha! Hehehehehe. . . Aha! - Ehhh, whaddya know from funny, ya bastard?"

Might be best to encourage him to drive closely behind her for a few miles in an aggressive manner.

That oughta settle it.

Given his old soul, I have zero doubt about SAE's position on classic soups, "worship" would likely even be his main descriptor.

Hmm, just rattling off without much thought:

1. Sloot's White Chili
2. Gumbo
3. She Crab
4. Clam Cowder
5. Lobster Bisque

HM: Tomato, Campbell's Chicken Noodle, Brocc Chedah, Tortilla

What did I leave off?

That was kinda my guess but he's also low key misogynistic with some of his random stances. This is clearly male vs female.

The Pad-Thai thing was brought up at lunch today. The hens were trying to argue about it with me (and these ladies are really good at arguing) They thought it is most definitely a soup. They then asked me to classify what it was and, with my confidence already leaking, I said noodle dish(??) and got laughed at. That's why I posed the question here. I was already shook. And then dK and his manners . . . Pad Thai can go f' itself.
