- Going to the game > Listening to Tom on the call while also going about your business and getting things accomplished > watching the 2021 version of 1998 JP Sports while sitting on your *** and getting fatter.

- So, on the vaccine issue, the whole team is rowing in the same direction now that we achieved clarity on the path forward from our thought partnership, right?

- If you run into an ******* in the morning, you ran into an *******. If you run into ******** all day, you're the *******.

- Hosting a birthday party for my mom tomorrow at my place. 67 years young and still teaching high school special ed full time. Could have retired years ago but still building up that pension. Also, she cares. Don’t think she’ll ever retire, to be honest.

- Doing a big Cajun feast, because mom likes that. Blackened shrimp on the grill. And a bunch of other ****. But I’m not fancy enough to have a Blackstone, so will throw one of my $25 Lodge skillets on my $85 Weber kettle, and sizzle those shrimp bitches in a bunch of butter and Old Bay. Because at heart I’m a simpleton Newport hillbilly.

- My third grade son insisted I drive him to Dicks in the morning to get him a cup for his first fall league baseball game Sunday. That’s fair, son, no problem. He’s the catcher, after all. Have to protect the family jewels. To be honest, going to Dicks on a Saturday morning to buy a cup for an eight year old will be the most enjoyable thing dad has done in weeks. Many, many other things will be bought, guarantee it, for both son and dad. Then we’ll go to the old bakery on Monmouth and get some goddamned donuts. And maybe a coffee cake.

- Had a client with a shop in Covington today give me a call. He said a bum walked into his place while the receptionist was on break, walked into the John, lowered trow, and blew nasty bum diarrhea all over the urinal, wall and floor. They have video footage of the old guy walking in and out of the lobby. He was all hot and super pissed and asking if I could figure out how to track this bum down and arrest him and make him clean it up. My short answer was, no. So he said, what do I do. I said, either get out your latex gloves, or call Servpro. They’ll probably charge you like a grand to clean up this bum ****. Pick your poison, man. Not sure which direction he went. But his call to me for that sage advice will cost him well over a hundred bucks. Ha.

- Saw that a week from now the highs will be in the mid to upper sixties, sun, with lows around 50. Thank the Lord. This 88 degrees and humid **** in late September is getting old. 68 and a bluebird sky is what Jesus sits under. Please give it to me, if it’s only one of the seven or eight days a year I actually get it.

- Tomorrow, and the next day, are going to be good days, friends. Certainly better than the last. Salud.

Eh, what? Some dude called you about advise on having some random bum arrested and you told him “no can do” and then you are going to charge him over a 100.00 bucks?

Example #234 of reasons I think I’m in the wrong profession. Seriously, what exactly is it that you do?

* So at 66 years old, I have ESPN+ all set up on my Apple TV to watch the game tomorrow, So suck it all you doubters that think the olds can’t figure out how to navigate technology. 😎

* My 6 year old grandson is starting flag football. I am going next weekend to watch him play. Super excited for him. His favorite game is to “battle” with his brother, which is just basically human bumper cars, so watch out. Coach Stoops take notice.

* I loved White Lotus, and I thought it was hilarious. I am currently trying to make myself continue watching Nine Perfect Strangers, which someone told me was similar. Spoiler: It isn’t. To me, it fluctuates between totally boring and horrifying. I am only continuing to watch to see if it ever makes sense.

* Schlafly Pumpkin Ale.

I've had to clean up bum **** before.

Last time we had a doodoo bandit at our property it was on a jobsite under construction. The bum had the opium squirts and got it all over a wall at the rear entry to the building.

I paid my painter (Rodney) to clean it up. I guarantee ole Hot Rod had more fun in the 80s than anyone else I know. As a matter of fact, he's still in the 80s in a few ways. Surely wasn't his first runny poop cleanup. This one happened over the weekend though and had hardened into a sort of a poo-plaster on the siding. He had to chisel the bulk off first.

Money well spent.

You should have told him, “just imagine it is not bum ****. Imagine it is some real estate mogul’s ****. Or a hot girl’s ****.” You could’ve charged double.

  • Spent the last week in CO. Never been out there in the fall before; highly recommend. Boulder was awesome on the weekend, but was at a work trip in Beaver Creek for the full week. Shorts and t-shirt weather during the day, crisp "sit-by-the-fire-with-a-bourbon" weather at night. Hit up a few hikes. Very serene, other than the amount of work.
  • The most fascinating thing about seeing my clients in person for the first time ever was how different they look in person. One gal, who looks like a movie star on Zoom, was about 35 lbs heavier than I expected. Masterful camera angle work by her part. She should get some sort of Emmy nomination for cinematography.
  • Joker broke the streak against UT. So he'll always have a place in my heart just for that. I think it was more of a Peter Principle situation. He rose in the ranks to the maximum level of his incompetence. Happens to the best of us - some argue that it happens to all of us in the corporate world.

You own a business and you don't understand how attorneys bill?

Yeah, I understand how attorneys bill. I didn’t know what profession he was in and was confused because I read it as the dude wanted Wynn to go and arrest the guy himself. Like he was some kind of bounty hunter. Now I know why why that 10 minute phone call cost ole boy 100.00., makes perfect sense.

Latest Austin trip rundown…

- El Alma - amazing high end Mexican. Shrimp and crab relleno and corn pudding was heavenly.

- Butler Park Pitch & Putt. What a cool ******* experience. 9 hole course. All holes 60-100 yards. They give you a couple of wedges and a putter and off you go. Oh yeah and beer. We played with 7 in the group. Low stress. No one in a hurry. Beers flowing. Signs with Ron Burgundy and Bob Barker dot the course. Cool gear in the “pro” shop. A+ experience and one of the cooler things I’ve done. Highly recommend.

- Terry Black’s BBQ - so there is this thing called the Beef Rib. And it’s a big ******* rib. Mine weighed just under 2 lbs. And the sear was perfection. Great food. Brisket was top notch. Hot chicks everywhere. Minus .01 for having a Big Red nostalgic sign and not serving Big Red.

- Radio and Cosmic coffee bars. Pretty much our primary meeting spots. Picnic tables under oak trees with garden lights. Taco trucks in the yard. Hot chicks everywhere. Cool vibe if not a bit weird. Imagine Chad in his happy place.

- Austin is what Louisville always wanted to be but never had the balls to do.

I spent two years in Austin in the mid 00's. To be fair to Louisville, Austin had significantly more going for than we did, not including things Louisville could control for (e.g., promoting a solid business environment, culture, etc.):
  1. Weather - the summer is dry heat and the winter is awesome
  2. Geography - Lake Travis and Lake Austin, hills, etc.
  3. Prestigious university serving the 2nd largest state in the country
  4. Close to two economic powerhouse cities (Dallas, Houston)
These four things are going to immediately make Austin more attractive to people than Louisville.

I see you were hitched before online dating became a thing. The camera wizardry by these chicks is as shameless as it is impressive. That’s why wcc recommends all young bucks to make all first mobile or online dates coffee dates.

In your defense, WynnDuffy does bounty hunt on the side. A real renaissance man, this MFer.

Have never heard anything but rave reviews about Austin. I think it’s on my wife’s short short list for where she’d like us to move someday (we’re not moving someday).

For some of the guys it was like that movie Friday when Smokey met "Janet Jackson"... same reaction.

Dallas is 3 hours from Austin and Houston is 2 1/2. Louisville has Nashville, Cincy, Indy etc closer than that. That's not the reason Louisville sucks compared to Austin.

He’s been a weirdo on this site for many years. Not sure why he decided to start posting in GYERO, but he’s officially outed now.

Haven’t seen “KSR Terry” since around 2000 or 2001 or so? Kinda cool to realize I’m older than dirt. Thanks.

August is still a *****.
