I can't find that Gregg Doyel article from back in the day about Cal carrying a knife and how he was going to win an outrageous amount of games. It hasn't turned out quite that well but it has been a spectacular ride.

Having witnessed this, I'd advise against it.
- Turning Point is fantastic, and I am halfway through 9/11: One Day in America. Maybe not the best idea for me to watch both right before I go to the Memorial and go to the top of the new building, but oh well. It's so strange to think back to right before the second plane hit to when I think most of us, myself included, really thought "it has to be an accident."
- The story of Brian Clark and Stanley Prainmath in the South Tower is incredible, and beautiful.
- Among other tourist activities in NYC, bf snagged tickets right behind the bullpen at Yankee Stadium for a night game. F the Yankees, but I CANNOT WAIT.
- Had to attend a children's birthday party this weekend, and kiddo's dad put roughly 47 Airheads in the goody bags that he shoved in our hands as we left so he wouldn't eat them all. They are objectively a garbage candy, since they're basically plastic, but MAN, probably a top 3 "trash" candy for me.

- In about 4th grade it was a badge of honor to eat Warheads, for some reason. As an adult, I tried them again, and boy. Not only are they not really that sour, they mostly taste like...nothing. Just garbage. They also become shards of sugar that slice your mouth to ribbons. 0/10.
- Will Levis is a phenom. Nothing insightful to add about his play, but what a beautiful thing to have a true THROW IT DEEP JARRRUDD guy out on the field again.
- I cannot stop myself from packing for trips as if I'm going to change clothes and/or **** my pants 8 times a day. I don't know why, as I haven't ever had an Incident which required creative use of a golf towel or anything. Just a suitcase filled with drawers.
- I drive a very reliable vehicle which is now 10 years old. The greatest first world problem/white person problem I've had in 2021 was last week, when the aux port completely died. Turns out, they do still make those little FM tuners you can plug in the cigarette lighter, so there's that. #theunsmuglife

Part of it was living in the DC area when it happened and knowing families who lost people, and being a very impressionable age, but I don’t really know. One of the things in history I’ve hyperfixated on for whatever reason. The ol’ ADHD motivates me to learn literally everything about a subject when my brain decides it’s interesting, so that’s part of it.

How can highly paid basketball coaches not get a driver? I don't trust Few. To make what he does and not fix his awful teeth is a red flag IMO.
When it comes to basketball, UK will have such an advantage in NIL it's not even fair. I am enthralled! Sharpe's the first chip to fall in this game we will consistently win.

After Bossmanfat left the team last year, there were rumblings that he might try to return this year. Matt Jones asked Stoops about it and Stoops laughed and said "Nope!"
I'd say that Stoops might be somewhat sympathetic to the Tigers in that picture.
* With a 7:30 kickoff on the home SEC opener after COVID, the BBN damn well better pack Commonwealth Stadium and be drunker than cooter brown on Saturday.
* Speaking of 9/11, kind of amazing that twenty years later we are still working to identify remains at the site. That's an amazing testament to the American spirit.

- Was all set to let loose in the Greater-Lexington area on Saturday but my son popped a positive test Sunday and here we are. Sold the tickets already.
I have 200 sick days saved up over the years, so guess who gets to stay home with the quarantined ones? Yep. Wife is vaxxed and at work. My son is a little sluggish but that’s about it. This house remains symptom free.
- This last Saturday, we went back to my hometown. They have a local festival on Labor Day weekend and we were feeling nostalgic. We got there in the morning to run Fun Runs and a 5K. I ran 23:45 which was good enough for first in my age division, 9th overall (participation was way down so it’s not much of a boast). My son came in 4th in the Fun Run, presumably with Covid?
- We went by my old home area Today is the year anniversary of my dad’s sudden passing so I’m feeling all the feels.

- For my money, Kentucky never looks better than it does in September. The way the sun hits when the sky is clear. The cool mornings and evenings. The hot afternoons. Sunrises, sunsets. Grass, mowed hayfields, beginnings of light foliage. Beautiful place, this Commonwealth.
- My biggest takeaway from 9/11/01 was how beautiful of a day it was. Top 5 weather day of my life probably. It was mid-70s, low humidity and not a cloud in the sky. Remember driving home after school, looking up at the sky and noticing no clouds OR chemtrails from planes. Just God’s beauty juxtaposed against the tragedy of that day. Surreal.
- Cal is committed to playing the 5 guys that are serious about defense, in case you were wondering. I saw that tweet from Tucker and just rolled my eyes. Call me cynical, but I’m going to need to see it before I buy in.
Sorta feel that way with football too. All of this chest pounding has me nervous. Let’s play somebody before we dive headfirst into the 11 win waters. I just have a memory, that’s all I’m saying.

It always struck me how it seemed like the weather was perfect everywhere in America on 9/11. Obviously most of the footage is from NY/DC/Pennsylvania but I’ve never seen a video from that day where it wasn’t clear blue skies and sun.

Clark is interesting as a PG prospect who can create and score. And, we’ll all love Cason Wallace - a dawg who does a bit of everything.
Livingston is the wild card here. He’s basically Josh Jackson with perhaps a little better shot.
Then there’s Lively- who can dominate a game without scoring. Just defends the paint and can guard switches. Kinda WCS with more offensive potential.
