-Bully looks good on that mower. I like it. Good for the kiddos. Much deserved. Really interested to see what Cal packages together. He's not going to let Penny and Fedex get too far out front.
It's already setup and in motion with Cal's preferred people from what I've heard. I can put you in touch if you'd like.

I couldn’t care less what Cal has to say about anything right now, and frankly I’m a little annoyed he decided to pop up the week of the Missouri game. We got a real team of men about to embark on a serious quest for SEC excellence and that clown wants us to know he had covid months ago. Ok, boss. GFY till you get back to the Final Four.

I mean I came to the first tailgate in 2 years with my daughter. I'll do better.
She is delightful.

I caught that sidewalk jab the other day so don't get all "woe is me" when I give it back. Plus, you've been embarrassed by us for a decade and we're just 2 hours into you admitting we're all actually friends.

Are you sure going to the tailgate was safe SAE? If I recall, you skipped all the old people (probably killing a few) to get the vaccine in early January. I think you're up for a booster now.

After a decade as a landlord- I got that rental house off the books this morning. Even with nobody paying rent the last year and a half, it still ended up being a more than worthwhile investment. But I doubt I ever get back in the property managing game again- too many headaches and people, in most cases, are terrible.

Car shopping. First time in forever, and I would be fine to drive this Prius till the wheels fall off if it means no car payments- but my wife wants an upgraded "family" vehicle.

Central Equipment getting national attention on the Twitter. Amazing. Maybe the best advertising money you've spent. Related, local talk radio had a Marketing exec on discussing Bryce Young getting $1M before ever playing- and they said after week 1- his exposure is worth 10X that... No idea how they determine that- but this is going to be pretty awesome to see play out.

Love Bop Gun, but its a distant second in the Ice Cube catalog behind You Know How We Do It

Patrick Reed is a huge tool, but I still pick him on the RC team based on his previous record. 7-3-2 and 3-0 in singles matches.

My dad was talking about last years Missouri game, how it got chippy and UK played bad, etc... Love him- but there is no way in hell that guy remembers anything about last years UK/Missouri football game. He doesnt remember ****, ever. Dude bought a new house a couple weeks ago and I know for a fact that he's driven "home" to his old house at least 4-5 times. He heard 3 minutes of radio this week, I assume, and is running with whatever he heard.

The Commish in a relatively high dollar fantasy football league significantly changed the scoring settings post-draft. What's the proper move here? Egging his house? Fighting him?

*Saturday night is going to be an all timer. People with 18 months of stuff to get out. #cantwait.

*Now a month after my week long Covid bout I've come out of it with a pretty good positive mindset. I mean I was down pretty hard for a couple of days and I guess it made me realize the importance of my health.

*Sloot when will they announce the South Carolina gametime? You are the go to on this.

* Drove the lead vehicle in Cross Country last night. It's like being in a parade.

*Got approved for a new company car. None available right now.

*Succession thoughts as Season 3 comes out here in a month or so: Spoiler

Preface-I hate pretty much everyone on the show. But could not wait to watch the next episode.
-Logan Roy-great acting. Just the dismissive uh-huh and the f*ck off when he is tired of talking to anyone is great. Total bully terrible person.
-Marcia-I guess she was important to start the series on getting 2 voting shares but really is irrelevant.
-Connor-trust fund idiot.
-Kendall-I go back and forth on him. He has betrayed his father 3 times but is still a *****.
-Shiv-hot but not as smart as she thinks she is. Selfish
-Roman-probably sexually abused as a child which has formed his personality.
-Tom-cuck
-Cousin Greg-Maybe I don't necessarily hate him but it is amazing that no one in the family knew him but is now the inner circle so props I guess.

Can't wait until Season 3.

If all tv stuff is the same as it was before covid, we should know the South Carolina game time during the presser on Monday, 9/13. Unless they take their one time (or do they get 2?) allowance of a 6 day window which would be on Monday 9/20.

I did that one time for a high school race when my kids were running in elementary school. A bunch of the elementary runners wanted to ride in the golf cart so I told them to hop on and off we went. I pulled over after 5-6 high school runners passed us because the golf cart wouldn't go any faster. I was demoted to parking attendant for the rest of my XC volunteer career.

@bradyjames i was hungover and not wanting to take my charter out today, didn’t mean to take it out on you Brody.
I really can't imagine giving someone **** for being interested in 9/11.
It’s not that we’re all not interested and it hits, it’s just interesting it’s every other post. I’d love to get up there. But me personally, reliving that sh*t is too much. It makes me well up and want to break things. I’ve had too many people in the service in my family to deal with that(not saying others haven’t). I’m just an emotional *****.

- XC seems like a boring sport to “parent.” Having an excuse to have a catch or kickabout to help practice backyard stuff is a big plus to your kids playing ball sports. Tossing football is great as well, but we’re starting to have a hard time explaining the disconnect of never signing up for elementary-onset CTE.

- I got my wife an exercise bike for her birthday. But I’m even worse than the guy from the Peleton ad… because it’s not even a Peleton.

- We still don’t have a grill at our new house. I just have no desire to cook out in summer or in general. Tovalas are down to $99, btw.

- My son was star of the week and shared his strong LEGO interest to his classmates. I’m hoping he didn’t mention some of the embarrassingly high-dollar items dad has in storage. 😬

- It’s pretty gross how early kids become conscious of brands. Let’s ride this Cat & Jack wave as long as we can, IMO.

Further, think the Rupption kids are prime candidates for the XC experience. The way you are wired JR, can't see your offspring having much athletic prowess, hence XC and academics. You'll be "setting up the team tent" dad in no time.
Enjoy Lil' Rupptions.

In my experience, XC has far less crazy parents. I would rank the sports my kids played/plays as follows with craziest parents at the top:

1. AAU Basketball
1A. Travel Baseball
2. Football (school ball)
3. Basketball (school ball)
4. Baseball (school ball)
5. XC
6. Golf

Golf, once they can make consistent contact, is probably the best experience as a parent.

LOL, come look up late 90’s ninth region / state track championship records and I’ll teach you some things. We’re a family of sprinters here.

Golf would be great to parent. The kids and in-laws went to Young’s Dairy Farm in Yellow Springs last week and apparently my son hit a couple buckets at their driving range. (Sounds like my kind of dairy farm, tbh.)

Do any NKY GYEROers know of local batting cages with speeds for coach-pitch aged kids? How fast would that be?

Snagged this 40lb Asian Carp this morning. First time fishing in quite a while, got the fever back quite quickly reaping it in.

And, no, that’s not me in the pic. That’s my fishing buddy Bob

As a dad of a middle school cross country runner - and based upon other demonstrations in this here thread - I can say that cross country parents are huge dorks.
