- For whatever reason, “I could use another day before getting back to the real world” pops up whenever I click this link. It used to automatically take me back to where I left off. Jon Blue? What’s going on with my free catpaw service??

- My lord, my son’s third grade teacher is just smoking, smoking hot. Second year teacher, probably 24, legitimate size 0, long blonde hair and blue eyes. Good choice to not put her with the eighth graders; those dudes would be going to the john every fifteen minutes.

- I worked from home today (which is why I’m drunk on a Tuesday and saying any of this) voluntarily, and I can say that it’s a totally different feel doing it when you want to, versus doing it when you have to. Lord help us if this ********** imposes lockdowns again. Don’t think that will happen, but he did tease a statewide mask mandate being “actively under consideration” during his press conference today. That’s the first step, and it’s a slippery slope.

- My kids are in Catholic schools in NKY, and our original plan was that masking would be parental discretion, a family decision. The executive order changed that of course, and the day it came out, I approached my oldest two sons to let them know the bad news, expecting the worst. You know what? They just shrugged, and were like whatever. Masks are the only thing they’ve known in their own minds’ recent history. So they didn’t think anything of it. Kids are so resilient.

- The mask I dug out of my console which I never thought I’d need again doesn’t fit, somehow got stretched. So I’m going to try to find a mask depicting a man performing cunilingus on a beautiful woman. For wearing in Starbucks only, of course, not my kids’ school. (Although maybe that third grade teacher??)

- Watering my front lawn right now. Didn’t think I’d have to do it this week, based on the weather reports. But you know what - these weather people are horrid cocksucking liars. I was supposed to get intermittent downpours for the past five days, and haven’t gotten ****.

That is the most beautiful thing I’ve ever laid my eyes on. The uniform, not Freddie Wayne. If we can’t bring that back permanently, at bring it back once a year the UT game. There is just something about seeing the K lined up against the T.

-just got home from league tennis . Lost in 3rd set tiebreak due to 2 extraordinarily dubious calls by a little ginger bastard. Called time out during my partners serve(spoiled an ace) because a ball was rolling "near" my partners feet. While it's "the safe thing to do"...never seen it done mid toss. Called a ball out that was clearly in (his partner who is a good kid and much better player) tried to talk him out of the call to no avail. Those 2 points were the difference in the match. I scooted after quick niceties with my partner and one of my opponents. Didn't respond to the 2 cries of "nice game Billy"...just waved ala strokin bandit and hit the road. If you can't say something nice or whatever.

* I'm sure cinddog and BristolCat are happy. SNAP benefits are going up.

* The Raiders are requiring a vaccine card to go to games but will let you get your first shot at the door and allow you to wear a mask to that game. Not a bad approach, actually, and could result in some obese, pre-diabetic NFL fans actually getting the shot. As a fan of eugenics, I would rather those people die before they procreate but since that is unlikely, I'll take it.

I wouldn't be opposed to this at Kroger Field this year if the rest of us can enjoy the game without any Andy/Mitch/Wayne nanny-state ********.

* Brandon Jacobs doesn't even look real in that video that plays on this site. Dude is a monster. He should have never been a RB. If he played now, he'd be an All-Pro tight end.

* GYERO in real life --> yesterday I saw reports from a new substance abuse treatment center named "Invictus". I immediately wondered if they could afford to get Kindly as their spokesperson.

And you never responded when I emailed asking if you had any Toasted Rye left

Because I didn’t and I’m sure I was then sidetracked. Should have emailed you a number to text instead of email.

But my 30 barrels came in yesterday, and toasted rye is on the way for its fall release.

I did have 18 bottles of 9yr Rye “too many” than my North Carolina store pick order.

- Willy and Tommy, your boxes will be in UPS mail soon!

  • 27 homeless count on the west side of 8th Ave walk to work today. A record. Nice job, NYC! No bonus points for a random screamer and a strung out ‘dancer’. Anxiously awaiting my imminent random murder.
  • Texas-sized Beef ribs from LaFreida this weekend. Smoked with Pecan.
  • Booking FIG in Charleston today
  • A little cautious with Levis. Need to see on-field performance before I start eating the rotten bananas and drinking mimosas.
  • I’m fascinated with Barrel Seagrass. I keep going back to it. It keeps giving and giving different experiences. Highly recommend.
  • Currently on an all-day development Zoom meeting with a big box retail corporation. These folks are carving up the map and plunking their **** everywhere. Enjoy everyone.

Lidl?

They seem to be growing quickly throughout the east coast.

My kids don’t give a tenth of a **** about wearing masks. They just roll with whatever (which kids are a lot better at than adults tbh). Kinda makes it hard for me to whine about it.

- If masks means kids are in-person, it's fine. Scott Jennings pointed out the inconsistency of having kids wear masks all day at school, only to then go home and be around adults who haven't been wearing masks all day, but consistency went out the window in March of 2020, so it's whatever.

My kids could take it or leave it when it comes to masks. Did hear a sad story yesterday about one of my daughter's friends, an 11th-grade girl with autism who is in public school for the first time. She's really struggling with making friends, and says that wearing masks makes it harder for her to "read" people and allow them to get to know her. For kids like that, it has to be really, really hard.

- Gaffigan tonight at Rupp. First indoor large-crowd event since the pandemic began. Will have a mask with me just in case, though I don't think we've received any word that they're required. It's whatever. As long as I get some Rupp ice cream first.

- Going through the Marvel movies in timeline order with the youngest. Just finished "Age of Ultron". That one was kind of a mess. Easily the weakest of the series, along with the second Thor movie. Otherwise, it's so impressive how consistent these films are, from the performances to the action sequences to the dialogue. Not an easy task to achieve, as evident by how all-over-the-place the most recent "Star Wars" films have been.

- I know we all hate Mizzou and wish they were back in the Big Whatever, but I am impressed with Drinkwitz. Can obviously win games, is recruiting well, and has a great personality that doesn't take itself too seriously. I think he's what UL fans THOUGHT they were getting with Satterfield. Satterfield is Great Value Drinkwitz, as it were.

- Do people play fantasy football anymore? Used to hear about it all over the place, but now...other than ESPN. rarely a word.

-Kids absolutely don't care, they're just happy to be in person, but it's really not the point. The point is, they don't wear them correctly(look at any masking article and the pictures have them on under their nose), kids aren't really at risk for serious illness from it, and masking 1 very specific demographic for a very limited amount of time, while allowing them to unmask for several events during the day, then leaving and beaing around unmasked people the rest of the day is completely useless. Like worse than useless and all for show. Nothing about it makes sense. Not to mention teachers had first dibs on vaccines. A universal mask mandate, while proven equally as useless, at least on paper makes sense. Especially in a state that is on fire like Ky right now. This is a guy mandating the only small portion of the population he can still control. Recommendation and support like Holcomb is the correct play.

-Had some wild *** dreams last. Not sure what I ate but spent an hour around 2a trying to get back to sleep. Made 5am wake up tough.

-6am leg days take real dedication.

-Ultron wasn't great, not as bad as Thor 2, but actually is pretty important in the grand scheme of things.

-Those Costco cookies are the truth. Accidently ran through 4 chocolate chip/macadamia last Thursday.

Might fly in the face of common thought, but I want Emoni Bates to go to Memphis. I want it to be him and Duren playing for Penny. I want them to get "all the smoke". Because I still don't think Penny can juggle it. Not yet, anyway.

I mean, K had Barrett, Zion, AND Cam Reddish, along with a future NBA PG in Tre Jones, and couldn't do it. And those three guys were, for the most part, dogs. On the flip side, I've read about drama with the Bates camp, and questions about Duren's motor. And I just don't trust that Penny can get it to work.

They'd probably go 24-6 in regular season against that conference, but once that second weekend rolls around, and they're up against real dudes, and their shots aren't falling....it could be a fun watch. They don't have a true PG, and they have some guys who are known for needing/wanting to get theirs (Nolley, Williams, Quinones). Adding Duren to that mix was an ideal fit. But adding Emoni? Might not be smooth sailing.

(go ahead and pin this for when they go 30-2 and win the title. But I don't think they're gonna.)
