I mean, you have Dino straight admitting to the federal crime of EXTORTION, yet Mack is the one getting **** on relentlessly, lmao.

Says plenty about that dude.
You heard those stories when he took the job but that's some dirty, dirty treatment of a coach in a industry that seems to have a code about that ****. Plus, everyone loves Dino.

Good, keep both those programs in the cellar. Send'em back to the metro conference.

I mean, Mack’s known Gaudio for 20-something years. Why the hell would you bring the FBI into this? I would think a simple threat to do so if it came down to it would do the trick.
He doesn't strike me as being very bright. Seems like UL coaches should know how extortion trials go at this point. But, "hey Bird Gang, let's go for a 3rd time in a few years, K?"

Everyone who knows Mack from up here speaks highly of the guy. Louisville is just a moral anchor it seems.
You need to stop running around with anti-vaxing right wing nut jobs.

Literally everything we've heard about the guy when he took the job is he's a major Dbag behind the scenes.

I vividly remember the NKY contingent saying things like “great family man” and “Louisville will love him” when that clown was hired. Not surprised the douche with a Shaq ankle tat is beloved by NKY.

ABH is the only dude to have tested positive twice, once asymptomatic and second very symptomatic, as well as all 3 vaccines. He also has maintained a very consistent covid denier/alarmist stance on pandemic.

Except when he told us early on if we went out and socialized to "lose his number" - he was basically Larry Kolbeken for the first 3-4 months.

Field of Dreams game tonight. They absolutely nailed the aesthetics of an infinite cornfield backdrop... so pure. I’m sure during game they’ll eff it up with CGI ads superimposed on the topiary rows. Regardless... glad Yanks are playing better ball.

ACC needs to drop UofL with a quickness. They truly are an outlier with academics and now, are just ****** with every thing... My FIL is rolling over in his grave with the meteoric downfall... RIP Ned.

Big Dawg speaking his mind on Levis leading the QB race... 🤣

^exactly. The dude has a very consistent message. It just changes weekly. Wasn't a month later he mocked us while partying at the Yacht Club and testing +.

-“I think him going to Kentucky is considered the lock of locks at this point,” Norlander said on the Eye on College Basketball podcast. “I think Shaedon Sharpe has a shot at being the best guy in the class.”

-Cincy's two staples are disgusting. They really need to drop chili and sausage imitations to pump up Graeter's. Took G there last night to celebrate 1st Grade. Place is just amazing.

-Watched Field of Dreams Sunday night in anticipation of the game. Queuing up Rookie of the Year for G this weekend.

-Big Dawg has carved such a spot in UKFB. Has to be among the most beloved football coaches in school history. Really any sport. What a dude.

-Fresh tomatoes in the middle of summer = caprese or blt. Pretty much a waste any other way.

The extortion was originally reported as Gaudio demanding a severance package after getting fired - or else. Now, I'm a labor and employment lawyer and it is common for employees who get fired to demand severance packages. The "or else" part is not usually a part of the equation, of course, but there often is an implicit threat - "I will go see a lawyer."

So it was interesting to me yesterday that apparently Gaudio demanded that either U of L provide a severance package, or that Mack pay him the same amount personally. That latter part does seem to make it clear extortion and it also leads me to ask what exactly was Gaudio thinking?

Very strange all around.

I've stopped giving one shred of credibility to preseason reports, recruitnicks and whatever Cal says. I'll decide if I "like my team" when I see them on the court. It does take some of the fun out of fandom but fool me once...

That said, Sharpe looks like a can't miss top tier prospect, of course, I thought The Dragon was MKG 2.0 so, yeah...

Seems to me like Mack took a situation in which Gaudio was probably hurt that he was getting tossed under the bus by a friend he had done a lot for in the coaching business, said some things in the heat of the moment and instead of letting the dust settle and inviting the guy out for a beer at Roosters to make amends, Mack decided to get the FBI involved and toss a little more gas into the dumpster fire that is UL athletics.

Twas a bold move Cotton.
