Wait, Cal bragged at the presser right after our defeat at the hands of a vaunted MSU team led by Howland that the he took pride in not one person catching the bug.

So while we, like every one of the 350 D1 teams across the country had to manage around Covid, it didn't stymie our roster for a single game.

In other words, that dog don't hunt John.

Lol... yeah, there's that saying that "your lack of planning isn't my emergency". Well John, your lack of foresight to keep 4-5 upperclassman every year isn't my problem. And it's not like you didn't see COVID coming. Cal should have been on his knees pleading with EJ and Ashton to stay. Easy angle - "fellas, you aren't getting drafted and there's no telling if there's going to be any money to pay you outside of the NBA. Stick around school, live it up, and you'll be in prime position to move on the next year."

Upset of the 1st round : N. Texas over Purdue. Bad *** point guard, plus they are very stout defensively. Guard play is critical in the tournament.

Some bets I like :

Michigan St. -2 vs UCLA
Colgate +9 vs Arkansas
Texas tech -5 vs Utah State
GTech +2.5 vs Loy. Chicago
Oregon St. / Texas under 132
Okie St. -7.5 vs Liberty
Cuse +3 vs SD State.

For anyone that's ever played football, don't you think RB coach is about the cushiest position out there? Not a lot of thinking has to go into the RB position. You're not really reading anything, not calling out defenses, blocking is relatively straight forward. I think the move would be to plug one of your best recruiters into this job and let him double-hat.

~ All of the talk about Tubby got me thinking about how piss poor we let the narrative get around our mutual decision to part. We helped break that mold! How many other blue blood programs (especially in the south) have had anything other than an old white dude as coach?

~ Cal can't say the real part out loud. Yes Covid stymied this team (like most every young freshmen laden team), but we would have been in a much better place if we didn't lose our entire roster. He knew it was going to still be an issue too. Doesn't help that he started the year by running his trap about how good they allegedly were.

~ For a guy who talks about being your brother's keeper and how you have to give to be on the team, he really does **** on his guys that put in the work. Letting EJ and Ashton walk because he assumed Askew and Sarr/Jackson would be better is horsepussy ********. Mind you, Ashton quit so I'm cool with running him similar to Cam'ron and Terrence, but the point stands.

~ Working at a financial institution in the era of stimulus checks is unreal. 90% of call volume is "when my check tho"?

~ Give me Zags, Baylor, Illini and Bama for shites and giggles.

Is it too early to dread next year already? I mean, unless these kids buy in to being micromanaged he will still intentionally lose games to prove they need him more than he needs them.

Oh well, next years problem!

That’s your fault.

🤣.

Kind of hopes Wayne got gonorrhea after being cuckolded, too, tbh.

* Calipari's COVID nonsense was frontloaded in the show. His comments got better as the show went on. I think he only took one or two calls and they weren't sugarcoated. His tone was much less combative and it seemed like someone has told him to stop antagonizing Billy Joe Wildcat.

It was whatever. He will either change or he won't. At least he wasn't just biting the hand that feeds him tonight.

* Wish we were getting a Spring Game but I am totally fine with UK Athletics getting out of the spotlight, getting Eric Bledsoe here to give a series of motivational speeches on the importance of getting **** right, and everyone from Barnhart on down coming back in the fall with a fresh tan, an enthusiastic attitude, and no mention whatsoever of COVID.

* I am rooting for Alabama to lose in the Final Four against Gonzaga and see Few finally win the big one.

* Go Badgers! Go Eastern Washington! War damn high seeds! Bring on the chaos!

Seems like I'm in the minority here with this take, but I think the Cal hates BBN!! narrative is overblown. He deserves to catch all kinds of hell for this train wreck of a season, but I've never felt personally insulted or antagonized by any of his comments.

I still love the crazy bastard. Just modernize the offense, prioritize shooters, and get **** right, John. Go Cats.

I listened to the call in show tonight. He was as detailed about x & 0’s and overall offensive philosophy as I’ve heard in a long time. He even went into specifics about how he plans on changing summer workouts.

There's an old saying in Tennessee — I know it's in Texas, probably in Tennessee — that says, fool me once, shame on — shame on you. Fool me - you can't get fooled again.

It is my eternal hope that Cal was as thoroughly embarrassed by this season as was BJW. It is also my hope that he makes true the bs he was spouting about other programs enjoying our bad year. Maybe, and it’s a BIG MAYBE, he will set out to scorch the damn earth next year.....and also going forward
