What was tubbys / Clydes worst record? How many McDonald’s AA did that team have?

Oh so it’s a positive for Tubby and Clyde that they were **** recruiters that couldn’t get an AA now? How many McDs on our roster this year anyway? Clarke isn’t playing so Boston would be only possibility.

As modern TV displays get better and better, the sound from them gets worse and worse. A basic soundbar has become a prereq at minimum.

Glad it's not just me. The last two I've bought have had ridiculously bad sound. Same for my latest laptop.

-those of us that saw the decline coming(og ***** bus crew)...aren't looking for cal's scalp. A tiny bit of self-awareness/humility and an admission of fault/willingness to change will do.

^too much to ask? Probably but whatevs.

You mean like 2 days ago when he said the game is changing and we need to change the type of player we’re recruiting?

I guess some are joking about Cal. At least I hope so.

2 people on this planet could come in and equal or exceed Cal. Chances are slim to none either would come. At best chances are slim to possible/not probable.

Looks like Geoff has stolen the snake oil from Cal's grin, too.

Serious question. If Cal were to have a similar season next year and go like 12-18 or something, would he be fired? My recollection is that he would be owed approximately $50 mill if fired this year, and approximately $40 mill if fired next year.

This is conspiratorial and definitely speculative but I think Cal is mad at BBN because of its treatment towards Brad and he's taking that frustration and butthurt towards the fanbase because they made fun of his son's ridiculous wardrobe and chest tat (which was all warranted imho)
and he's (possibly) taking that out on a Kentucky player specifically just to make a point.

Who knows?

If Cal’s calling out Allen then what is he doing to Askew? Said he can’t play PG - oh no!

What about when Pitino PUBLICLY said Mills couldn’t guard a telephone pole????

Just not right!

It boggles my mind how hypersensitive some of you are. Also hilarious that it’s some of the same people against PC culture.

Good thing Allen isn’t the ***** you are.

Best scenario is obviously that Cal changes and gets back to werepeckering. But, how likely is that? You would think these repetitive ***-kickings would hurt his pride enough that he is willing to change. But, maybe it's him who hasn't hit rock bottom yet.

They were both **** recruiters and put players on the floor that had no business wearing a Kentucky uniform.

but what was their worst record? They never rolled out a team like this.

do you think things are looking better for next year?

Tschibwe is a helluva piece but the big thing will be seeing who returns. If we have another massive exodus, then that will tell a lot.

It’s complete and utter HORSESHIT. That’s what it is. How quickly people forget the hopelessness of Tubby and the disaster of BCG.

But he’s had a bad year so F him and everything he’s accomplished. Let’s move on.

I maintain that 2015 will always haunt Cal. Had he won that one, he had enough equity built up to have a year like this. Or if he had not been bent over and outright cheated n 2017. Either one of those in the championship column, and we're writing this off as just a effed up year due to Covid.

Killa - let me know if you want to see how big of a ***** Chad is. I have more documentation than you could read in a year that I save for when he does his regular "Stop being negative pussies, I'm above all this nonsense" routine.

It’s about time we had a patented Wodie “tread lightly, final warning” post.

wcc is the most sensitive when he is mad about others being sensitive about things he isn't sensitive about.

I'm just calling it how I see it. Not erasing the past and I'm appreciative for a good run...hoping the guy changes and we see a post-prime, prime. Haven't seen evidence of that yet, it certainly could happen.

But if you want to be obtuse and pretend like Cal hasn't been an ******* publicly to the fans using Allen as a focal point (no fault of his own), then fine. Guess we are the crazy, sensitive bitchbois and Chad is the true fan tough guy.

SAE, stop the bus and let him off please.

The same BJW, myself included, who he mocks on post game shows are the same people who lined up to watch him drive a trophy from Pikeville to Paducah. We are the same bunch who ran Forde for his "made his bed" column, the same bunch who have defended Cal against "cheater" and all comers to the point of physical altercations. We are who we are.

The problem, for me at least, that he seems to still not understand... Its about sharing the seasons and teams with our dad, friends and/or family.. Its about the trips we spend way too much money on to pop our chests out as this is OUR program. its something that bonds us together on a 6,000 page message board. He has lost his "awe" of this Phenomenon that is UK basketball. We all hope every kid that comes through here becomes a millionaire but it just feels he has lost sight of the actual entity of Kentucky Basketball.

All of that said, winning cures most.

The difference is -----> Pitino was right about Mills, and Cal is kinda right about Askew.

Allen? Umm, not so much. He played touching 7 minutes last game, and ZERO in the 2nd Half. FOH you little angry gnome.

Alright let’s make a bet: if I’m right and we’re competitive next year (WHO COULD IMAGINE?!) then you quit posting in here, and if you’re right you quit posting in here.
What’s your idea of competitive? Who of our program peers are we competing against?

Also different in that Pitino understood that Mills' ability to give you 10 or 12 points while maybe giving up 5 or 6 was a better outcome than a guy who can't score at all but also keeps the opponent scoreless. It's really simple math from my perspective.

What is the point of Allen playing if he is going to run into a corner, stand there, while the team runs a 4 on 4 offense away from him. It's like grade school, tell the worst player to stand in the corner. Frankly, I can't tell if it's his inability to get open or Cal deliberately telling him to do that. Either way, it's a bad look.

Worth noting Mills was in 3 straight title games and playing on LOADED teams (and still averaged similar minutes to Allen) - and not 20 games into a season with 5 wins and no real changes.

No, the difference is our entitled ***** fanbase didn’t whine about the other examples. It’s just piling on.

And Allen sucks and shouldn’t play until he improves his NBA stock so F you too.

Trust they would have had we been 5-11 and averaging 50 points a game, you dense little *****.

As for Askew, he's mostly sucked. Allen has been mostly pretty damn good.

Great stuff tho!

Cal's comments of recent have been less obnoxious but he's also 5-11 so what can he say?

In the past he's had teams have some rocky starts that gelled around this time and become a contender by tourney time. I can somewhat understand him being irritated that those past results don't cut him more slack with the fans but he did a lot of that to himself with past comments that weren't a big deal because of his results.

Also, Cal appears to be an incredibly social guy who is at his best reading a room and having magnetic charisma. He can't do that during COVID. It certainly doesn't seem like he'd been getting much feedback

The guy really looks like he needs a break and then to come back with some his old school razzle dazzle and start wooing the BBN again.

This year is toast. It was a bit refreshing to hear Cal's comments about not realizing how important the summer program they have is for getting players indoctrinated into the program. Some honesty and humility will go a long way.

If the core of these guys return and Cal comes back recharged, this will be nothing more than a blip during the weirdest year of college basketball possibly ever.

Way too much talk about Cal magically becoming a "good" basketball coach, and magically transforming how he coaches the game, etc, and not nearly enough talk about RECRUITING.

Cal is a simple man. Very simple. He gets players better than you, more athletic than you, and he yells GOOOOOOOOOOO! That's is, that's the recipe, and it works shockingly well when you have the dudes to do it.

Cal ain't getting those dudes. He needs to get those dudes. End of discussion.

Disagree. Askew is a great ballplayer and Allen should be playing at Lindsey Wilson.

Good post. More of the same this offseason and next year and I’ll be on the “get him out of here” side.
