Do we still do randoms here?, Randoms:
- I made a really bleak post last week about how I thought this year would probably be **** again, but even I didnt think we'd be looking at the shenanigans of yesterday.
-If I receive a gift card for something, I either use it within a couple of days or forget about it and sits in a drawer and it ultimately expires. No in-between, really.
-Made the goal to work out at least 183 days this year, just to say I was active on more days than not. Declined to do the "75 Hard" Challenge with a few of my buddies bc it just seemed filled with silly requirements. In short, you have to:
1. Workout 2 times a day for at least 45 minutes, one of those workouts must be outside.
2. Abstain from any alcohol
3. Read 10+ pages of non-fiction every day
4. Maintain a certain diet
5. Drink a gallon of water a day
6. Take a daily "progress pic"
If you miss any step on any given day, you start back at 1 (Brian Mcknight)
After I looked into it, thinking it just seemed like some random ideas thrown together, I realized the guy who constructed it was neither a physio, dietician, or in any way a health expert. But there seem to be a ton of people jumping on board with it. People may believe anything if you just pretend you know what you are talking about.
- A little over a year out of my 40th birthday and the pipe dream would be a big time golf trip. Thinking one of either Bandon Dunes, Pinehurst, or Scotland if my wife allows. Surely 2022 will be back to normal?
- Glad Anth has latched onto fly-fishing, jumping in headfirst. It's a way more pretentious form of fishing, so I'll assume he will be bad-mouthing spin fishermen as cane-pole losers as soon as he hits the water a couple of times. Still think I can show him enough high-priced equipment and attire to get him out shooting birds on the reg, too.
- A bit surprised Pruitt isnt out at UT yet. Surely they get rid of him, whether its the right move or not.
-The "Deadly Game" documentary on Richard Jewel was much better than the movie that came out about him last year. Its a bit long but the story and details are much more developed and the acting is actually better. HARD RECCOMEND.
