-Never learned how to play checkers, chess, or any non-UNO card game. But backgammon, man....I'd smoke all you fools.

Bring it on, Clown. I would imagine I’ve played well over 20,000 games of backgammon. Had a crazy mother trucking Palestinian teach the game when I lived in Lexington, apparently it their game of choice if you will. He was also my coke dealer so you can imagine the fun times that ensued.

Charlie's is good, but overrated. Ramsey's has the best fish sammich in town.

I always took Rudd as more of a Norman than true Frenchie. I have some Norman heritage on my moms side and I'm proud of it.

Kid went to school one day and we get an email last night that one of his teachers tested positive after school. Guess I'll cancel my schedule for the next 10 days.

Hold'em and 7 Card Stud are my go to card games. Been playing a lot of Go Fish and Old Maid lately though.

Joined Ford's Fitness center yesterday. Time to get my fatass back on track... after the kids quarantine I guess.

If Allen doesn't get at least solid 6th man minutes tonight, imma take a dump in Cals driveway.

Georgia can GGP, no matter who wins today's runoff.

Andy Beshear can go pump himself.

Mastermind was dope, but Pente was the staple skill board game in my household.

-I'd say odds are decent+ we don't see Brooks this year, and marginal we don't see he OR Clarke.

You guys shouldn't be in full quarantine. As long as you're tested 5 days after his contact with her you're good to go.

Very little kid to parent spread and even less teacher to student spread.

- Been on a jigsaw puzzle kick lately, weird.

Started a push-up challenge with a couple of buddies. Do 15 push-ups today, and then you have to do one more than you did the day before, every day, no exceptions. The last one standing wins. If we all make it to 01/22 (won't happen) we go out and get hammered.

Gimmicky **** like that seems to be the best way to make myself consistently exercise. Whatever works, IMO.

Operation Odessa was a great recommendation. The story is wild and a nice basis for the real story- which was my man Tarzan- easily the coolest dude in cocaine documentary history.
Watched it after the rec as well, awesome stuff. Loved the one dude in hiding.

I watched Odessa over the weekend and then followed I up with the “Terrorism: Close Calls” series. It seems to be funded by the US security agencies and has a “the more you know” segment that recaps how useful FISA laws were in surfacing information at the end of almost every episode.

The way they piece things together is mind bottling (3oz or less) some times.

Now, I’m bowling through Forensic Files. - I’ve never seen it before.

Risk always led to family brawls.

Those attacking armies getting dwindled in Kamchatka were the ultimate, GTFOH mfer moments in the game.

I've been playing the app version with a couple of friends the last year or so. I used to be really good but find myself struggling now and wishing I could virtually flip the board and knock pieces all over the room.

My brother: Why are you attacking me?!? <Other brother> is clearly a bigger threat to you at this point!

Me: Because you are a whiny ***** and I want you out of the game.

Your information doesn't match up with what we got from the health department.

I went in there a couple of years ago whilst in town for a conference and it looked like the gym that time forgot. Presumably same equipment from the late 1990's. I hope to goodness there has been some upgrades there?

Y’all are really gonna wait 2 long years on that big payoff, and then Richie shows up and face humps the ground 365 times to bring home the victory.

-Believe WCC mentioned it but something nice about getting the house and schedule back to normal after the Holidays. Typically when my grind period starts for work, life, diet, working out. I just have to make through the real ugly part of late Jan/Feb and all is well.

-Good thing is, my conditioning and cardio are really good. Bad thing I packed on a few lbs I was really trying to avoid. Hopefully sheds fast.

-Moved on to Fly Fishing as my main obsession from the rona. In my typical new thing fashion I'm completely immersed. We'll see if it sticks but I can't think of a more perfect activity. I love to fish, it's pretentious as f*ck, I can do with the little guys, TONS of gadgets and expensive gear to buy. BTW, that, a couple young dudes, and my knife making hobby... pretty tied up these days. Much healthier too.

Looking for help if we have any seasoned pros out there.

-LOL, "Hey Buckeyes, just let us know when the game is most convenient for you." Dbags. UK went to Bama down over 16 players.

-Woke up rushing around, got the kiddo off to school, make it to repair shop at 8 to drop off car, wait in freezing *** cold for 25 minutes for my ride, get to work an hour late..... then an hour later repair shop calls to let me know they ordered the wrong part and have to reschedule. Go find a ride back across town to pick up truck. Do all over again next Tuesday. FFS.

• Shocked Ford's is still around. Loved that place. With all the 24/7 low-cost chains flooding the market and cross-fit snatching up their share of the demographic, figured the days of a good old-fashion privately owned meathead gym was over.

• Spades > all other non-gambol card games, but you can't play with newbies who will hang you out to dry the first time you go nil. Finding 3 others who know the game is the biggest hindrance to play more.

• Liz Shue -> christ, her milfy presence alone makes season 3 a success. Could have used more 80's hair bangers but overall, still delivers. In unrelated news, ES just popped back in the rotation.

• Need a recap of Wodie & Tommy’s New Year’s Vegas Vacation.

• Setting my mental bar low Allen’s PT at 13 minutes. Obviously deserves / need more but not really in the mood for Cal to kick me in the nuts tonight.

I was put up a grade in elementary school for academics which was fun and all until I got to junior high and wanted to make the basketball team. The starting guards both ended up playing D1, so even had I been a year older I would be a backup, but I was first “alternate”, meaning I was cut. So like any motivated athlete, I joined the school chess team.

I got my *** kicked in chess worse than by the future D1 kids on the basketball team. A low point was losing all three of my matches in what was almost record time in Knoxville, TN at a tournament with my mom looking on disappointedly. Like, I drove your sorry *** all the way to Knoxville and this is as good as you can do?

Dribble down, player cuts across the lane (maybe a half *** screen is set) catches the ball on the wing 5 feet outside of the 3 point line in no position to score (peeks to the post, nothing), kick back out to the point, wait a couple seconds for a slow developing cut (maybe a half *** screen is set) and reverse to the other side of the court where a player catches is 5 feet from the 3 point line in no position to score (peeks to the post, nothing), clears out the guy at the top of the key to start the weave, 3 to 4 passes are made, no driving lanes open, finally someone kicks to the corner for an open 3 that is pump faked into a pointless drive which is cut off by a help defender, kick back out, waive over a big for a pick and roll as the shot clock ticks down ===> contested mid-range J for Sarr!

GOOOOOOOOO!

Gosh I hope Allen validates but I'm obviously skeptical, not about the kid but about our coach. I think it's much more likely we grind out an ugly 8 point victory with DA going 0-3 and Cal says in code to the fans "I told you so".

The good news is that Allen isn't just catch and shoot. But he's definitely not going to beat too many people off the dribble, so it would help if Cal (or hopefully Bruiser after Cal gets kicked out in the opening minute) draws something up for him.

I worked out there back in my college days. Glen Ford was a top notch human and I was completely shocked when he passed away so young (my dad was friends with him). Dude seemed like the epitome of good health.

I was sort of shocked myself it was still around to be honest. It truly is a great, independent gym. Surprisingly, it's probably in better condition than it was 20 years ago. Super clean, all the equipment appeared to be in good order, and the locker room didnt even smell funky.

The summer after my sophomore year in college, I spent a good amount of time working out with Jared Lorenzen. We were both big fellas and on a similar schedule/workout. Forgot about that until walking around in there yesterday.
