Watching Gonzaga bury Virginia. It’s not like they shoot a billion threes to score as much as they do. They just don’t screw around. Everything they do offensively has a purpose.

I despise that dribble hand off weave thing we do. It's a waste of 10 seconds on the shot clock. I have no freaking clue what shots we are looking to generate. We do some pointless movement and then hope and pray for a defender to trip.

At some point, we're going to start losing some players. No chance we make it thru the next few weeks without a major transfer or opt-out. Wonder who it's gonna be?

The easy bets are Sarr moves back to France, Boston goes to “work out for the draft,” and Allen says f—- this I’m going to NKU before the new semester.

And maybe Fletcher decides to stay away, I guess

Heard him call out that very offense last game "VEGAS!!". My dad and I scream it at the TV every time we start aimlessly weaving 40 feet from the basket. Great father/son bonding, imo.

You can wear a $10,000 handmade designer Italian suit, and if your fat *** is over there on the sidelines with huge sweaty pit stains soaking thru your shirt, it doesn't matter.

That is absolutely disgusting to me. Throw on a gd undershirt, you *****.

At this point I am openly rooting for a complete and utter all systems failure meltdown, as if this 1-6 start wasn't it. Let the losses keep piling up, mid season transfers, guys quit whatever. I'll take all of the above.

Go coach the Westchester Knicks c*cksucker. You've turned the gold standard of college basketball into a make a wish foundation for second rate aau rentababies. Change or gtfo. Choice is yours you fat sow.

Cal changed nothing from last week. What makes you think he will in the future?
Nothing, he's obviously not going to. I'd prefer he go ahead and leave. Take his sabbatical, write a book about it. Blame the fans on the sly and, reinvent himself somewhere else and make us lose our minds. The latter is much more, likely than the former but, let's rip the band aid off and get on with it.

Dontaie Allen is a symbol at this point. It's not about him leading us to wins, but it is a sign that Cal is willing to adapt and change if he starts seeing significant game time, I think it also buys Cal a mulligan for this season but his refusal to do it means we have to move on from Cal sooner than later.

Playing a shooter- even one who is limited in other areas - isn’t this new age avant-garde Basketball Twitter philosophy. We used Cam Mills - who didn’t have Allen’s 7’2” wingspan and couldn’t guard J. Pearman - to cruise through the ‘97 tournament and win the ‘98 chip.

I don’t know what to say right now. I am at a loss.

I really can’t explain what we do the first 15 seconds of our offense. Do we ever do a big on big screen to get one of the big guys open in space to post up? Could one of our players ever take a charge ?I know it cheapens the game in Cal’s opinion but louisville got four extra possessions because of charges. Just frustrated watching Jones & Johnson slicing our defense and zero rotation
Just a piss poor Coached Team

For me that’s the issue........Allen’s weakness can’t be any worse than ANY one on the team. Only Jackson can play defense and not get burned so badly.

If it wasn’t for last years losses and bounce back I’d say Cal has quit or “wants to be run off” but I legit have no idea what to even consider this mess.

Id love to see the guys planning on coming back be the focus, and just let Sarr, Boston and Clarke do whatever they can when they play.

Jones closed out the post game show talking about how he hopes that apathy doesn’t set in, much like the Gillespie years. Unfortunately I think it has, to some extent. Just look at some of the most ardent, passionate, and knowledgeable posters in this thread that are at that point. Losing BJW is one thing, losing GYERO is a completely different animal.

Didn’t he just sign a massive 10yr extension? I’d say he wouldn’t mind a buyout at all. He’s clearly mailed it in on the recruiting trail. Trolls BBN after every loss. F him.

Seriously, how did this dipshit become an assistant coach and lead recruiter at the most prominent college basketball program in the history of the sport?

He’s a modern day, younger version of David Hobbs. Get lost, cool breeze.

Does that mfer have a wrist tat...

I honestly don’t think Cal even gives a ****. I don’t understand why, because continuing down this path will tarnish his legacy, but he sure as hell doesn’t seem to give a single **** that we are an embarrassment.

I think he’s used extreme talent for years to alleviate the need to actually coach his team effectively against similarly talented teams. And during these last 10 years or so, he’s spent precisely zero minutes learning anything new about the game.

He’s like a guy who is really good on Madden against certain people because he uses one specific play that he can score on every time. Then he plays someone who can defend that play, and he gets his *** kicked. He doesn’t know any other plays so once everyone has figured him out, he’s a loser and can’t beat anyone.

He should probably think about attending a basketball camp, because he doesn’t seem to have a GD clue what to do.

We make jokes about how the team looks (looked?) each year when he throws his annual ***** fit and KP (and Ulis one time) ran the team, but starting to think this year proves what people joked about is true.

All I know is today during the Kentucky/Louisville basketvall game I was texting with another GYEROMAN about military history podcasts. That’s where we are now.
Any good recs? Beyond Hardcore History, have listened to all of those.
