-Attitude towards basketball is more eyeroll than anything. I'm always going to care and watch but give me a break with this ********. From entitled punk teenagers to a delusional coach trying to ignore flaws in his approach. I'll give a **** when they do.

-Rudd, let me know about the Yorkshire. Was debating on doing it Saturday with a rib roast.

-Lobster Mac n Cheese for my contribution today.

-Caint wait for tomorrow morning. Little dude is reat to do some serious damage. Large coffee and off to the races. If he makes it to 6:30a I'll be shocked.

Thursday 4:

Mona Lisa - Wayne
NY, NY - Dogg Pound
X Gon Give it to ya - DMX
EI - Nelly

This has been true for a number of Cal’s recent teams, it would be much better off going small with Boston at 4 and Sarr/Jackson sharing time at the 5.

Most college teams don’t have one capable post, much less two. It’s not like Boston is going to be beasted in iso post play. Plus, he would be much more effective getting to the rim against college 4’s, same with Clarke at the 3 and I would probably run Mintz and Askew together a lot. That would solve a lot of our spacing issues.

Keeneland Burgoo and bread pudding tonight for XMAS eve. Easy and nice little ride out yesterday.

TV Ted, Shows and Cal together has real nuclear meltdown potential Sat. If he gets tossed I'm going to be burning red hot. He's paid 350k or so A GAME. Adjust stay in the box and coach your effing team.

Merry Christmas everyone!

I’d be fine with Cal getting tossed. His only positive attribute any longer is his ability to recruit. There was a reason Herro’s team looked bad *** during those four games where Cal sat up in the stands. And in 2015, we peaked during the UCLA game, you know, before Cal’s coaching philosophy rubbed off on them.

Opened up the Barbie dream house for my little girl last night about 5 cocktails in - 82 touching steps. 😂 Don’t think so. Chilled with the wife and watching the Nic Cage movie the family man instead - very solid flick actually. Will be tackling that bad boy dream house tonight. Oh joy.

Gotta go the the Walmarts and CVS for last minute **** I forgot and a card for my wife - a holiday tradition for me.

Getting a couple new assistants feels like a good move for our beloved bball program. Beats me though

Never really had eggnog - but think we’re gonna give it a shot this year and see how it goes. I’ve been told rum so I’m going to go get a bottle of Appleton this morning

Merry Xmas fellas!

Assuming we don’t find out on Twitter his leg has been amputated, Brooks is an ideal 4-man.

My grandmother lives in our neighborhood and has a large detached garage. I’ve learned, after many long Xmas Eves putting together toys with that parent anxiety of “I’ll never finish this before dawn” to do it over there days ahead of time. Vet move...go get them, set them up when the kiddos are out, grab a bourbon, profit.

Beating UL isn’t going to give me new perspective. I need a run...I want to watch us in the tournament. Knocking off a meh Louisville squad just to run out the string on the season and go to the NIT (maybe) is empty. We are at a point where we need to win about 6 straight, Saturday would be a start.

It is great to be the parent of a youngster during Christmastime. No doubt about it. But as soon as the kids grow out of believing in Santa, your days of staying up past midnight on Christmas Eve - 3/4 drunk and pissed off, fumbling through instructions of some contraption Joey would have trouble putting together - are over.

It’s not all bad watching the children grow up is all I’m saying.

One of my favorites in the series. Scalped a single in the UofL student section. Got rip roaring drunk.

2010-2011 Dream Game

Was there also. Ruined their NYE and ruined their first time hosting the Cats in the new arena. Every time it looked like UL would make a run, Knight or Harrelson came up with a huge bucket. The misery from the UL fans was palpable.

Day 4 of having my in-laws staying with us, joy.

Just caught up on 20 pages of Gyero. Have been working almost all the games this month, then after reading tweets and group texts, have had no desire to watch them...

Pretty sure nobody would give two pumps if we got married on the Louisville game this year. Congrats on the nuptials PTI, even your trans sibling is getting married...but not you?

Crushed a brisket tuesday. It was textbook, solid A effort.

Making a sous vide tenderloin for my sister and her family today. Little sear on the Blackstone afterwards to finish.

Considering the unconventional year, going unconventional and making Christmas ribs...why not.

Merry Christmas Eve, you filthy animals.

Yep, good ol’ Christmas ribs. Like in the song “Christmas Ribs” that we all know and love...

“Sir, I want to buy these ribs for my mama, please
It's Christmas Eve and these ribs are just her size.
Could you hurry, sir, daddy says there's not much time.
You see she's been sick for quite a while
And I know these ribs would make her smile
And I want her to look beautiful if mama meets Jesus tonight...”

I usually have about 25 of my in-laws over for Christmas, and therefore I whip up a batch of my chicken and sausage Gumbo (it’s better than anything a degenerate LSU fan can make too).

This year it’s just the wife, kids and MiL. I got a turduckin for tonight out of necessity. I couldn’t procure a duck, all the turkeys were too big, and who wants to just eat chicken on Christmas Eve? It’s a five pound boneless turducken from Fresh Market - $26. We’ll see what happens.

For tomorrow, going with the choice standing rib roast. I was always a beef tenderloin on Christmas guy, but the standing roast looks more impressive. The wine pairing is the kicker of course. You don’t want to mess around with this one. I’m thinking a Napa Cab, although Sonoma is where you can get some value.

We just threw some ribs on the smoker as well. Got a new rib rack that lets me do 10 slabs at once so we are using it.

Double Stuffed Baked Potatoes, Mac n Cheese, Green Beans and some kind of sourdough rolls.

Won’t be many here this year, but the boys will have their cousins to play with for awhile.

White Wayne, Kingsley’s has duck.

* Wrapping up work for the week, as is the wife. Cooking a lot tomorrow so I just doordashed a metric ton of Qdoba to snack on this evening while watching movies with the wife.

* My wife requested a dust buster so I went the King Llama route for Christmas for her this year. Made sure to get her favorite perfume, too. We usually just do small gifts for each other and schedule a big trip for our main gift to each other.

Looks like this year it is going to be a lot of three day weekends instead of going somewhere for a week. I prefer that, anyway, tbh -- especially if the third day is a Monday. Makes it easy to duck out early on a Friday, go somewhere close like a cabin in the Gorge or a hotel in Louisville or Cincy, and get a relaxing little get-away without having the stress of packing and making sure work is squared away for a week away, etc.

* I want to believe that we will see fight from Cal with his back against the wall but I'm not optimistic. It seems like this squad combined with COVID might have broken him.

Tomorrow should be the litmus test to see where he's at. If he's not out there blazing with his team amped to the gills on the road at Louisville, he just doesn't have it in him this year.

If we lose this game, I'm pretty sure the vast majority of UK fans will just check out on the year. I'd like to think I will but that's not going to happen.

* As 80 said, it is nice to have limited family and work gatherings for a change so I am not driving all over creation to try to make 45 different obligations. I don't want this to be the new normal but it is a bit of a nice change.
