* Wrapping up work for the week, as is the wife. Cooking a lot tomorrow so I just doordashed a metric ton of Qdoba to snack on this evening while watching movies with the wife.
* My wife requested a dust buster so I went the King Llama route for Christmas for her this year. Made sure to get her favorite perfume, too. We usually just do small gifts for each other and schedule a big trip for our main gift to each other.
Looks like this year it is going to be a lot of three day weekends instead of going somewhere for a week. I prefer that, anyway, tbh -- especially if the third day is a Monday. Makes it easy to duck out early on a Friday, go somewhere close like a cabin in the Gorge or a hotel in Louisville or Cincy, and get a relaxing little get-away without having the stress of packing and making sure work is squared away for a week away, etc.
* I want to believe that we will see fight from Cal with his back against the wall but I'm not optimistic. It seems like this squad combined with COVID might have broken him.
Tomorrow should be the litmus test to see where he's at. If he's not out there blazing with his team amped to the gills on the road at Louisville, he just doesn't have it in him this year.
If we lose this game, I'm pretty sure the vast majority of UK fans will just check out on the year. I'd like to think I will but that's not going to happen.
* As 80 said, it is nice to have limited family and work gatherings for a change so I am not driving all over creation to try to make 45 different obligations. I don't want this to be the new normal but it is a bit of a nice change.
