- I really came down to the wire with Christmas gifts for the wife. Yesterday, I realized the daily Far Side calendar I bought as a “gift for the family” wasn’t going to cut it, so I jumped on Amazon to get a few things that she may enjoy - mostly wine-based.

- My 3 y.o. daughter asked about a photo she found on her iPad this morning. It was a gift set of Disney princess nail polish - a gift from my SIL that my wife took a picture of on the same iCloud account. She later asked about a figure skating doll she saw (before all gift photos were frantically deleted). Modern Christmas problems.

- Christmas FaceTime/Zoom Gallery on the 120” screen is great on our end, but some find it very off-putting to be featured larger than life in a living room.

- This weekend, I painted the basement, hung the bikes on wall, mounted a TV, and generally freed up a lot more room for activities. I wrapped up the night by just winging a Nerfhoop ball at my son in a dodgeball/ American Gladiators deal for a good 20 minutes as he slid behind various obstacles. Pure fun for dad.

Super disappointed in Cal for this one.

Unless it's a felony type thing, there's no need to throw the kid under the bus like he just did. Furthermore, that tweet will be used against Cal in future recruiting pitches by other coaches, affecting us in the future when we clearly need good players. I just don't see the positive of posting it from any angle as Cam's already publicly apologized. Has Cal started drinking or maybe has the beginning stages of dementia? Seriously, WTF is happening to our basketball team?

Dude prolly got sick of Toppin getting all that run, giving up straight line drives and jacking 17' jumpers from the corner.

I mean, I get it. He'll go somewhere and be an ultra garbage/glue guy on a really good team at some point.

It's time to jump ship. Allen will be next, IMO. Don't blame them, either. GTFO, kiddos. This guy has lost control of this program.

" lot of this is prettiness brought on by frustration of losing, I know. But there certainly has been a shift in the feel of Cal’s tenure that goes beyond on court results and it’s not positive at all. Personally, I’ve gone from defender to “you know, it was a good run maybe it’s time to mutually part ways before it goes really bad” in just a couple seasons."

I agree 100% except with the prettiness part. It is not very pretty what we are witnessing, other than that spot on. LOL.

As the old saying goes, "This will get a lot worse, before it gets better." Sinking ship, and the captain is the one sinking it. He truly thinks he does no wrong. Usually when someone knows the have done wrong, they are the ones doing the most pointing fingers and talking. So you can't do interviews after losses, but you can jump on social media and **** on a kid ? I wish I could hear the audio of Fletcher dog cussing him. I have never seen a coach who has done so much good, do so much bad. Never have we had a coach crash and burn like this AFTER success.

4K porn ? Uh, I don't know about that one, matter of fact, probably the only TV viewing I do not want crystal clear viewing. Just something about pimples on asses, stretch marks, hairy asses, and money shots doesn't make me think "great viewing, glad it is so crystal clear".

Cal’s “I built a culture” comment is one of the most asinine things I have ever heard. You can’t have 92% turnover of players (and 100% turnover of players who matter) and 50% turnover of coaches and even talk about maintaining a culture.

He didn’t build a culture, he built a process. That process was getting several 19-year olds that were going to be drafted in the top 5, and then surround them with upperclassmen who are late first round, early second round talents. The plan to execute that process didn’t change, but the ability to execute it surely did.

Obviously, I am pissed off and Cal deserves criticism.

But I hate the ******** mentality common in human beings where people just keep piling on.

Cal’s done a lot for this program (and it for him). I’m not the type of person who forgets that when **** goes wrong. I’m not like that with friends or basketball coaches.

You make an interesting point. We’re not that far removed from some really good teams, and who knows how last year would have gone. But I think the issues are 1) that people are realizing nothing is going to change and 2) Cal’s attitude towards the fanbase.

It’s the belittling of the fans and his stubbornness, Chad.

He still gets a ton of equity from me because of overall track record but I don’t know if we see him ever changing in terms of style of play. Not to mention it doesn’t take a BASKETBALL BENNY to realize we aren’t getting the same level of OAD high impact ultra elite talent we got the first 6 years.

STOP PILING ON, EVERYONE. CAL HAS HAD A GOOD RUN SO WHAT IF IT HAS BEEN 5 YEARS SINCE WE'VE BEEN TO FINAL 4 AND SINCE CAL WAS PUNKED BY BRUCE WEBER AND A BRUCE PEARL SQUAD WITHOUT THEIR BEST PLAYER? HE'S WON A LOT OF GAMES AND BEAT LOUISVILLE LIKE A DRUM THIS IS KENTUCKY BASKETBALL LET'S GIVE HIM A COUPLE MORE YEARS TO IT TURN AROUND. HIS ARCHAIC OUTDATED OFFENSIVE SYSTEM AND PHILOSHOPHY OF RUNNING OFF GOOD DEVELOPING PLAYERS WHO CAN'T IMMEDIATELY MAKE AN NBA ROSTER ARE JUST A SMALL PART OF THE PROBLEM WE JUST NEED TO GET BACK TO THE DDMO WITH SOME MORE LENGTH AND POSITIONLESS PLAYERS WHO WILL SET GOOD SCREENS 40' FROM THE BASKET GO CATS

By the way- Cal lost those games but unlike his peers, he hasn’t gotten punked in the tournament by anyone. A few bounces, he wins both of those games and beats Carolina in the E8.

This is a perfect example of what my initial post was about.

Has Cal knocked up a student yet? That's when we'll know rock bottom is here.

*Fletcher deserves whatever he gets. He acted like a little *****.

*This is what? 3 of 4 years with MAJOR issues. Vando/Green, Hagans/Dragon, Clarke. These are the things he used to crush. I mean he bobbled Cousins, Orton, and Dodson. Terrance Jones and Lamb. Those Memphis teams.

Not Great, John.

*The offensive philosophy is whatever. He's had some high powered offenses is his time. I'm much concerned with losing every player from last year. Fairly certain that needs to be addressed first. Other than having some experienced guys to help on the court, they can clean up this nonsense behind closed doors.

*Quade, Juzang, EJ and Baker sure would suck to have right now.

Cal has been much worse than punked, multiple times by some pretty ****** coaches, and teams. It's remarkable really. There can't be a coach with so much talent who's been derailed by much lesser teams, and he pretty much does it like clockwork.

Every one of these losses is the worst **** I've ever seen, because every one of them was extremely winnable. All it took was a coach not screaming GOOOOOOOO on the sidelines.

Calhoun x2
Bo Ryan....you would think this is THE WORST, but wait there's more
Bruce fn Pearl.....the single most embarassing **** I've ever witnessed.
Bruce Weber....at least his team was physically tough

I'm sure I'm missing some, but those 5 I will remember the rest of my life because I'm a dumbshit basketball benny who only cares about winning.

SERIOUS REPLIES ONLY:

Who’s on our team next year? I’ll still wager either Askew or Ware are gone, just because.

Brooks and Allen aren’t even really here THIS year. Not counting on them at all.

Toppin.

And a bunch of freshman? I’ll give Cal plenty of chances, but I don’t see him realizing the way the game has changed. Our roster will be awful next year, and it will completely be his fault.
