UK should really consider being a college basketball program again, I guess. Recruit athletes that enjoy playing college basketball. Schedule other universities and play them in college basketball arenas. Try to win said basketball games. I don't know, that might get folks excited. Again, I'm old fashioned.

- Anti-vaxxers- pray I avoid those lunatics my entire life.

- I love a good “returning home for the holidays” movie but Sarah Jessica Parker’s character in “Family Stone” is so utterly unlikable that I can’t buy the plot in the least.
-Buddy, they've been around a lot longer than 2020 AND they've been obtuse toward long proven vaccines that prevent dangerous diseases in kids. Hey, let's bring back measles and mumps!! At least now they're not protecting themselves rather than the little ones. Thankfully it's pretty clear, to everyone but our POS Gov, that kiddos are very safe from c19.

-On the flip side, peak McAdams. Good lord.

This work week is as useless as next week.
PRO TIP: don’t take off... these two weeks are great to refocus, organize and chill whilst getting paid and rolling over PTO.

Driving into city on Thursday morning at 4:30 am to see Rockefeller Tree. Covid, Riots, DeBlasio ain’t stopping our tradition... but can’t deal with idiots. My kid suggested the idea. I’m in.

The Cats are gonna make me fatter. Made rosemary-encrusted halibut in lemon/caper sauce last night. Polenta. Asparagus. Yep.

Ordered a standing Prime Prime Rib and lobster tails ... Bacalà zeppoli. Antipasto. Aglio Olio. Cooking this Christmas for just us.

Wife bought me a bourbon that she says I want. She spent a lot of money. I don’t trust her for this selection 😬

No idea still what to get wife. She always never gives me a clue as to what she wants. Maybe a Peloton and I can mock her body image as I hand it over. I saw that somewhere.

Egg Nog w/Turkey 101.

I don’t really blame Justin’s house of bourbon for what they do... but they’re the primary reason I’ve told anyone who’s expressed interest in getting me a gift to never, ever buy me bourbon. You just know somebody is spending money they don’t have to please someone who won’t drink the bourbon and doesn’t realize how badly they’re getting ripped off.

-travel: already balls deep in vouchers/credits/gift cards. Not gonna do it.

-wants a rowing machine...but im too smart (scared) to buy that **** for xmas. And it'll sit in living room til basement is finished in a month.

-so far i have folklore on vinyl...may grab a few more. And the usual stocking stuff. Stumped.

Shorts:

-Man, I couldn't get enough of the Charlie/Tiger clips and pictures from the weekend - that's just great stuff.

-This new trend of 4K porn, where no faces are shown is really annoying. Feel like these people are cheating the system making money without the ultimate sacrifice of honestly putting yourself out there. Have always maintained a certain amount of respect for starlets, but not these types.

-Ran out Saturday morning to wrap up Christmas stuff after waiting too long on a few gifts to make the delivery cut. No crowds whatsoever, at least compared to usual - Covid still delivering small blessings amidst all the ****, if you look hard enough.

-McDonald's new Blueberry Muffin is A+. Great little sidecar addition to the Sunday morning hangover DoorDash.

-Knick fans IN LOVE with Quickley. Of course, things can & do change in an instant w/ NY fans, but it's still damn cool to see. Maxey shining as well.

Oh, and LaMelo Ball is filthy. Sorry, PTI(pti) & others, but he's going to be GOOD.

-Happy for all my buddies with little ones to focus on, but this year feels less like Christmas for me than any, ever. :/ Mainly just ready for 2021 & an optomistic reset.

-Christmas & NYD both on Friday tho, that's what it do. :fire:

I don't want a new coach. I want a serious overhaul of our team-building philosophy around here. Let's pull the curtain on one-and-done roster turnover. He's a master marketer and could rebrand this thing immediately. I'm not optimistic he will, but like Anth said, it's a good time to start with some of these guys.

Cal is a stubborn sob, and at this point, I'm kind of rooting for a total disaster this season. It's a weird place to be as a fan. Kind of apropos with everything else this year.

The two top candidates: Beard and Bennett don't excite me much. We have a lot of money to throw at it, but I'm skeptical that Stevens or Donovan are in the mix. Just can't see that happening.
Few, Beard, Wright, Stevens, Donovan, Bennett... have to figure when the time comes those are the main targets right?

- We prefer Sawed Off, dickhead.

- I just want to thank Anth for continually gracing GYERO with his wisdom on everything such as “the anti-vaxxer movement didn’t begin in 2020.”

#blessed to have you as a friend.

- Lamelo is my favorite thing about Instagram right now.

End of Fall randoms:

One and done has only really worked well when mixed with contributing upper class athletes. Patterson with Wall and Cousins, Miller on the 2012 team, etc..

If I'm a 22 year old about to sign an 8 figure contract, I'd much rather it be Jacksonville than NYC. The difference in state and municiple taxes alone is greater than most of us make annually.

Congrats to the swimmer family!

Family Stone sucks out loud. B$ picked that one year early in our relationship for evening entertainment and I still give her **** about it. She agrees with my assessment too.

Custard > Nogg

Digging through the freezer and found a massive chuck roast from the cow before last. It's now in a dutch oven bath of broth and italian seasonings waiting to go on a hoagie with some provolone this evening (and tomorow evening).

Christmas this year with a 4 yo in the house has been pretty exciting for us all. He asks every day if he can open a present, just sits there and looks at them dreaming of what they can be.

Speaking of 4 yo, he had 735jr over for a sleepover on Friday night and those two had an absolute blast. Pretty cool watching/listening to them play. Put on Home Alone 2 for them and they couldn't control the laughter.

Happy Winter Solstice everyone!

--Not a clue what bf got me for Christmas but he is way better at presents than I am, so I'm sure it'll be great. Last year he got me an art piece of my cat, which I realize is the most white ***** hen thing on the planet, but I loved it. Know your audience.

--Broke out of quarantine today and one of my coworkers called me frantically from his closed office 15 feet away to ask if I was still contagious. Am I a joke to you, sir, no. Chill.

--I watched the Olympia bodybuilding show this weekend and while that level of dieting, or prancing around on stage in a blackface tan, is not for me, cotdamn it's impressive. Pretty incredible the levels the human body can hit with that kind of training (and supplementation, obv).

--Related, rewatched Jingle All the Way with Ahnold and the late great Phil Hartman. Boy is it stupid, but I still love it. Where the hell has Sinbad been the last 20 years?!?

--Golfers in matching outfits with their kids this last weekend was absolutely precious. Charlie Woods has all of his dad's mannerisms...the lean, the fist pump, the scowl, everything. I can't decide if it's genetic or if he is a robot like his father and has practiced all the movements in front of a mirror his entire life.

--Shortest day of the year and 10 days to escape this godforsaken year. Survive and advance.

Eh, this one probably isn't on Cal. The dude was having a literal crying temper tantrum on the bench during the damn game. How many times has Cal made a public statement like this about a player in 10 years? He keeps things behind closed doors, typically to a fault.

Hagans last year, and....?

For reasons BBdK listed above, if Cal publicly talks **** about this kid, you know it’s BAD.

Come on, insiders. Drop us some info on what really happened. It’s days like this when I really miss Greg Hoover, TCCAT, etc.

I mean does he actually meet these guys while he’s recruiting or is he doing it in auto draft
