I liked the Audi Q8 I test drove, but there’s zero storage space in the console or door. That’s a deal breaker for a mom car.

I always regarded the Mercedes wagon as the ultimate well-to-do family vehicle.

But I’m just a guy who drives a CPO KIA Sorento once or twice a week at this point, so TIFWIW.

If it costs less than 80K it's a POS. JMO.

Those new Volvos are dope AF.

Anyone else think, in general, SUV designs suck *** compared to a decade or more ago?

Y'all sound like a bunch of suburbanite 40-somethings that wear athleisure and wear On running shoes carrying around a cup of $7 coffee in your Yetis and watching your kids terribly play youth sports all weekend day.

Because, welp.

Got into a little ruckus with a Lambo Urus a couple weeks ago. Never saw one in person let alone having one come up on me wanting to race. That son of a ***** woke me up when he punched it. You have to talk loud like Geesefedder to hear in my car over the exhaust but gatdamn that thing roared and scared the piss out of me momentarily.

Boat, get a Trackhawk. Think this year's has a newer body style.

Mercedes wagons for people who are nostalgic for their childhood in regards to being in a station wagon. That's why the popularity has gone down recently. The people who grew up in the station wagon era are now in their 50's and their kids are out of the house.

-looked at the xc90 when we bought the highlander...wanted 42 k for a 2 year old car w/25k miles. Nope. Was sweet.

-if i were in the mkt for a sedan...i would grab a cpo volvo s90. Similar to s class/7 series comfort/fit and finish can be had for >35k certified with low miles.

-the thing i dont like about Volvo's offerings is that they dont have a true *performance* option...engines are a bit undersized.

2013 XC90. Had 88k miles and paid $13k for it. New ones are definitely dope, though.

I’ve had 3 BMWs and an Audi, but prefer a Volvo for this stage of life. I’ll probably never buy another BMW again, though. Complete pieces of **** in spite of how GD handsome they are.

We have to watch our kids play to understand their areas for improvement and then help them in the backyard.

Otherwise, they may “flunk out” of ball/ coordination sports and they could spiral all the way to a life of adult running clubdom. And no parent wants to see their child embarrass themselves like that.

Probably stick with Lexus or Toyota for the foreseeable future. Been driving my 2010 ES350 for 10 years, has 230,000 miles on it, and never a single issue (knock on wood). My golf cart is worth more than my car now, but it’s been a fantastic vehicle.

I’m all in on buying a brand that I’m fairly certain will work well for many years with just routine maintenance.

Had a small entry level Mercedes before this car, and the maintenance cost on that thing would boil my blood every time I had to get something done. Probably my favorite car I’ve ever owned (aside from maintenance), but I’ll never go back to Mercedes/BMW/whatever that costs a GD fortune to service.

I’ve met a few folks here in person, which I’m sure is kind of awkward for those people.

The only thing I can thing of being a little real life weird is rupturing my achilles at basketball. Man the following 4-5 weeks sucked after that.

I had a Mercedes SUV before the Volvo and the maintenance and repair costs are part of why I didn’t get a Mercedes again. I like the car in general, but like the Volvo better.

I loved my old Lexus before that, and test drove the new version this time. They just don’t have either ability to customize what you want. The guys at the dealership were nice to work with though. I felt bad not buying from them.

The ultimate suv has to be the Land Cruiser, if durability, ruggedness and reliability is what you’re looking for. There’s a reason they are the official vehicle of the U.N. for use in war zones.

Obviously that’s a tad bit of overkill for just running the kids around town. You never know when the terrorists are going to attack again, tho. That’s why I keep a fifty caliber and some flash grenades in the back of mine. Along with plenty of Capri Suns and apple juice pouches for the kiddos.

And here I was feeling smug not having a car payment and getting more life out of my ten-year-old Civic after covid killed most of my job-travelling. 170k miles and truckin'.

Jap cars for life. Heard way too many maintenance horror stories for the handsome Germans. And American, lol, nah.

We jumped ball (I think it was bbdk outleaping Richie) and started to run down the court for the first possession of the pick-up game and all of a sudden a loud "AHHEYEYEYAHEYAHA!!!" comes bellowing out of a lifeless figure on the ground.

Bellydancer and a few others help the lurker over to the bench, made sure he hadn't broken anything, was informed he'd be calling his wife for a ride home and we resumed the start of the game.

Believe that's how most present that night's one-and-only encounter with the bourbon baron played out.

I remember jogging up the court along side you as you brought the ball up, and then I remember being on the ground thinking I stepped on something, only to look back and see nothing.

I was extremely confused at first and when I got up, I realized I messed something up bad.

Sat down, watched you all run for a minute until I got brave enough to drive home.

I actually remember laughing that we had to sign the waivers, and was relieved that a bunch of dudes that don’t know me didn’t have to be concerned with me trying to get over on someone that did us a favor to let us play.

I was about to pick one of those up a few years ago, and then I looked at the price. Ho Lee ***. $90K for a Toyota? When my barge company thing takes off I'll get one. Hey Dallas, where you at on the hook up?

The last several posts are why attorneys will tell you that circumstantial evidence is often (usually? always?) preferable to eyewitness/first person recollection.

When GYERO Barge, Inc. takes off, can we at least get a complimentary Party Barge for golf scrambles, tailgates, Olympic activities, ATKOT?

Been driving an '06 4runner since 2010. Drives just like it did back then, and is pushing 270k. Transitioning into a classic quite nicely. I will drive it until it refuses to be driven anymore. Those things and Land Cruisers seem to hold their value better than just about anything. I'm not sure I could buy the same vehicle now for less than I paid for it 11 years ago.
