BAH signed an NBA contract. 2020 f*cked up the time-space continuum, innit?

An Italian ginger? Did not know those existed.

Must be a descendant of Nero.

Yeah, the combo of red hair and snake oil skin is hard to beat.

* Speaking of Kenyon Martin, this has to be the worst draft since 2000. That year only Martin, Magloire (Go Cats!), and Michael Redd made an All-Star team.

Read through this list. Woof.

* The GYERO bar is now going to have to be a GYERO speakeasy and provide childcare for a bunch of uneducated kids sitting around staring at screens in perpetuity.

There is going to be Soviet level corruption and black markets this holiday season. Well done government. 15 days to stop the spread!

If a month of shutdowns or whatever would actually work, I'd be game to do it at this point just so everyone could have an end date and, presumably, shut up about COVID after that month.

Kentucky restaurants lost $550M in April. That isn't exactly earnings from a lemonade stand.

I used some of the money I usually spend on restaurants to do some work on my house. GE Appliances is absolutely blowing up right now. Plus, most people significantly cut down on their travel budget, and used that cash for other things. Point is, while restaurants got hammered, other areas of the economy in Kentucky thrived.

- Teams I thought did well, moreso for value and fit....Spurs, Pistons, Bucks, Kings

- The Knicks obviously have a glut of bigs but at least Obi and Quick can #ScoreTheBall. I actually like the way they're building that roster, even though they're still a year or two away.

- Easy to pile on the T-Wolves in here because of Chumps, but between taking the kid who admitted to not loving basketball, and taking Jaden McDaniels, who seems like a prima donna, I'm not sure what can be said in their defense.

- Still think Paul Reed is gonna do some things.

- Bilas was looking old last night. Wanted a bit more of Woj. With only five minutes between picks, there's not enough time to warrant having four on the panel, ESPN. But at least Shane Battier wasn't interviewing the selections.

They thrived for the reasons you listed above, in addition to $950/week unemployment, PPP money, and $1200 stimuli.

Without that backstop, where the hell do people go when their business is forced by law to close? Not a lot of “thrive” going on in the Commonwealth.

Absolutely unconscionable.

At the end of the day, it's just good to know that white, upper middle class, highly educated Kentuckians were able to use the collapsing economy as an opportunity to divert some of their huge discretionary income into home remodeling projects, upgrading appliances, and other various luxury items.

Perhaps we should try this at least one quarter per year going forward, just to take a nice little break from all the hustle and bustle.

I did my part to keep the economy rollin’:

“Who’s this “Benjamin Moore” guy and why’s he takin’ all my money!”
LOL

Once again, you all missed the point. Restaurants and bars are not the bell-weather of the economy. GE cannot find workers right now. Trucking costs are going through the roof. There are blue-collar bright spots all over. But gee whiz, sorry you can't sit down for a steak at Ruby's right now.

And my wife vetoed the ski season thing. Sad!

Not all of us are gourmet chefs like you, Wayne. Have some compassion.

Speaking of that, had some pizza dough left over from making pizza for JB last night, so I whipped up a deep dish between meetings this morning and put it in the oven. My daughter came down and I told her we're having pizza for lunch. She looked disappointed and asked if she could just make some bagel bites instead. 😧

Our governor is an old *** lady that has been pretty steadfast in her decisions throughout all of this- without really being FRONT AND CENTER like most. SHe's been visible, without clearly enjoying the chance to self-promote. Even in a red state- she's been logical with her mask rules, social gathering plans, and economic decisions. We've been fairly open since the summer- and have seen the same types of peaks and valleys with cases that just about everyone else has.

Opted out of going to the game this weekend. Buddy coming down to do some fishing and clay shooting. I just dont see any way the game stays close more than 1Q.

Finished Queens Gambit last night and it was excellent. The lead character did well- especially carrying a series about chess.

Happy Anniversary to this mess- which is still one of the most unbelievable series of happenings at a sporting event. Just unreal start to finish.

Supposedly, truck drivers are going on strike here soon. Probably not a good time to start working on class A CDL's.
