Actually a fantastic spot for Maxey.
Get the feeling Doc is going to move Simmons to a point forward role(think Anthony Mason kinda) and let a combo guard like Maxey take the point.
Simmons can guard bigs, and that allows balance on offense with the right guards/shooters in place.

Philly has had Simmons as their PG for 2 seasons at least, with forwards at the forward spot, and Josh Richardson or Jimmy Butler at the 2, so no not like they have been.
He has consistently lined up at point and he doesn’t belong there.
And I say Anthony Mason because Doc played with him in NY, and he is already making moves to improve the shooting in the backcourt which pushes Simmons to more of a forward role.

Well that's a little bright spot in an otherwise **** day. I love it for that kid.

Love it. That's a kid who had no business going in the first round at one time, and he worked his *** off and his character got him there. And just as I say that, here comes Cal to gush about his guys.
I hope Quickley's dad can eventually get over the embarrassment of having a son who plays in the NBA.

Good for Nick. I predict he will have a long, solid career in the NBA as a backup big/end of bench depth guy. There aren't many 7-footers walking around with his soft touch and athletic feet.
