Ran into former UK asst coach Tommy Mainord a few days ago. He was pretty torn up about Schlarman. Said they were good friends. Loved his time in Lexington.

Masters was dope. DJ When asked whether winning his first major or second major was harder went Yogi Berra in responding: "Winning the first one was definitely the hardest, but winning the second one was just as hard.

It's 2020 I turned 40 and UK still sucks at football. Should have smoked Vanda, but I'll give them a pass in mourning Schlarman.

Golf is better on TV with no fans. Football is not.

*That is a terrible take. I hate MASHED POTATOES guy, but overall, crowds make golf on TV way better. No Augusta roars this year was absolutely awful.

*Wanted to do something a little different golf wise, so last night I set up the 2020 Inaugural Moon Blood Skins Game for this Saturday. Even bought a ****** Goat trophy from Amazon and had it engraved with Moon Blood Champion. Sent out a text to 18 guys and 15 committed within 10 minutes. 😂. Skins game from the red tees should be a lot of fun for a random November Saturday.

Eh, the crowds at the Masters are mostly avid golf fans. Toughest ticket to get and people are mostly on their best behavior once they get there.

Should be state by state. If they banned crowds from PGA events in NY, I think TV viewership wins in that scenario.

Here’s an insane idea. Run the opening rounds of the NCAAT simultaneously in the dome with like 8 courts going at once. It’ll be like the Peach Jam or something.

I don't understand the complaints regarding football. If any league has overperformed in this epidemic it's football - especially NFL. Minimal missed games, on-time start, and no f's given. College basketball is going to jack this off. I'm almost certain of that.

Without any considerations($, location, experience, education) what would your occupation be?

Think I'd be a fishing guide.

Honestly... fishing guide would be tough to beat. I also wouldn't mind working outside at some golf course (starter, ranger, etc) down south.

I would buy rental houses and condos around Augusta. Would make a killing during Masters week renting to the players and super rich, elite fans. But I of course would rent them out when guys like Krazy and his buddies came to town during the off season, but only for more money. I mean hell if he makes the trip all the way down to play Augusta, he obviously would spend good coin to get as close as possible and for 1st class accommodations..

By the way Krazy, make sure you budget for a caddie for your trip, you can't rent pull carts of carry your own bag there, even Augusta has its limits. I know they are fairly laid back when it comes to who can get on, but the will not waive the caddie rule. Not happening.

-Ok, obviously the Augusta idea was a hypothetical, and I’m a dumbass thinking $500 is steep but I’d pay it, and clearly I didn’t even know how big a dumbass I am.

However, I did call the richest guy I know that happens to be big time in the horse’s and golf.... he got a good laugh too, and as I mentioned said if ever he could help it would be the biggest IOU I’d ever have in my life.

So it’s possible, maybe, probably not, obviously.

- When posters like PTI and UKRob73 get to hating it’s very possible you are on to a possible gold mine.

Love my haters.

- It’s kind of unreal just how many damn lights it take to decorate the outside. I’m 1000 lights in on my first tree and need about 400 more. I did get the ok after the 2nd tree is done, with the blowups we got that I can be done and it’s a good start to year 1 outside decorating.

All I can ask is for a little understanding.

I wish it was someone’s dream job to put up Xmas decorations, I’d pay the price and I’m not sure there isn’t a fair price I wouldn’t pay!

Who’s gonna bait the hook when Anth’s the fishing guide?

Checked out the new Critchfield’s today. Picked up a nice cowboy ribeye for tonight. The fried chicken and deli not ready yet, supposed to open after thanksgiving. Looks nice.

Drew Brees with bilateral rib fractures and a punctured lung😢 damn, pour some tussin on it. Hate that for him.

$500 is probably a ****** caddy tip at Augusta.

Ben Pine (weather guy at WHAS) used to caddy there right after college. He said that it was about the same as what you'd pay a caddy at Valhalla or any other nice private course where caddies were required. Max he got (IIRC) was around $200 or so.

- The Masters, the NBA Draft, and a sneaky-good slate of CFB this weekend makes for one of the better November sports periods in a while.

- Not sure what's more bizarre at this point...football games with nobody in the stands, or seeing a bowl projections column listing a 3-4 Kentucky team as a potential Outback Bowl participant.

- So what has everyone decided to do about Thanksgiving gatherings? I know it's assumed that ANDY will crack down on them, but am I seriously gonna avoid my parents on what could be one of the last Thanksgivings they'll have at "home"? We've been doing #SociallyDistant gatherings with them for birthdays, etc....masks, precautions, etc. I'm not keen on suddenly saying "Sorry folks, Andy said the six of us can't have a holiday lunch together". But hey, whatever is good for the state, I guess.

It's already bad enough that their dog died this past Saturday. Little fighter lasted 18 years, but was an absolute headache for them the past year or two with her constant accidents, etc. I was worried sick that they would fall while trying to clean up one of her messes, so as sad as it sounds, it might actually be a relief that she died in peace and isn't struggling anymore. They're having a rough go of it, I really don't want to add "Thanksgiving is cancelled" to the list.

I think it was Webb Simpson that said it was around $2,000 total to stay a couple of days in a cabin at Augusta, a couple of rounds with tip, meals, etc.

We’re up to 150 hospitalized - or about 5x higher than April. My family will be sucking it up and playing it safe as much as it sucks, and hoping things burn out in time for Christmas.

My dad said to stay away for Thanksgiving. Apparently he has something to live for. My mom, on the other-hand, wants to throw caution to the wind. Dad will win that argument, however, so no parents around for us.

In all seriousness, my take on Thanksgiving is that we're allegedly close with the vaccine. No sense of having your parents die from this at the tail end of the ordeal. I'm actually being more cautious right now than before as there's light at the end of the tunnel.

We're having Thanksgiving, but both my wife and I have very small families and we are around them often anyway. I'd probably skip it if we had like 20+ people.

Buddy of mine from residency lives in Augusta, says he puts his house up on VRBO and take a fantastic vacation for the masters. Pti would be proud.

Yeah me and the Mrs will be having solo turkey this year as well. My folks are both cancer survivors and in the high risk group...and whether I wear a mask everywhere or not my occupation puts me at risk for being a vector.

2020.

Looking forward to the Dark Winter.

Really looking forward to the FB posts of people hosting huge Thanksgiving get togethers, being criticized by I assume a temporary picture frame of a lonely turkey. The reason for the season!

Friendsgiving is awesome. If you can’t enjoy it, that’s on you.

One of my favorite Covid’isms is when people who are so into wearing the mask and shaming others for not, feel it’s ok to take the masks off and huddle together for a picture...because you are immune to the virus for those moments.
