Honestly, I would be surprised if it was actually stickers. Usually, the floor is sanded & repainted and gets a few coats of the shiny stuff on top every season.

None of the basketball floors I have logos on are stickers, they are all painted.

Which makes it even more surprising and unfortunate that they would choose to use that big, blue block instead of a nice clean logo with the wood floor showing through in the background.

My guess is that Central Bank wanted their logo to be as prominent as possible and originally submitted something really gaudy and the final version was a bit of a compromise. Either way, it does not look good at all.

Of course, being UK they probably did try to cut a few corners and costs and slapped a sticker down.

It's only temporary thankfully. The answer they gave was the floor is too thin to sand down and repaint so they painted over/put stickers over until the new court gets laid. It was never as obvious before but the old logos were not symmetrical either. I guess they did the best they could with what they had but it still doesn't answer why they didn't install a new court when they updated arena.

Without any considerations($, location, experience, education) what would your occupation be?

Think I'd be a fishing guide.

**Max, there's no such thing as a Simpson's meme creator, not a real job, pick something else.

That is funny you say that. Fishing guide would be among my final choices as well, along with archaeologist and wildlife photographer.

I said it yesterday, I am surprised the Masters let Paulina out there wearing a track suit. She looked like a white Usain Bolt coming out for the 200 meter dash.

I also joked that when she walked across the green to DJ's brother (caddie) when she hugged him she whispered in his ear, "Hey, DJ said to remind you to make sure you got the 8 ball lined up for tonight."

Was kind of pissed at the coverage yesterday. You have Patrick Reed a former champion, and not THAT FAR back, and not one damn shot was showed from him. Not just Reed, but several guys where not shown.

A little “hairy arms” gamesmanship was afoot, eh?

I don't believe they start the major indoor renovations until spring 21.

Not to be dense here, but does anything that makes money qualify as occupation, or do mean a job?

Personally I’d own 2 condos in St Augustine, on the beach and rent them out. We pay $1800 a week when we go for a 3bedroom place. While we were there last time one of the owners said he had bought 1 for $475K just a few years previous and part of buying in means you accept the management company that takes 10% of all rent received. Told me once the property paid for itself in 6 years he would profit 60-80K a year depending on maintenance etc.

Double that up and I’d give it all up tomorrow!

That’s my 5 year goal, to have 1 of those, and my 10 year goal is to have the 2nd one.

Running my own bourbon company is a solid backup if I fail.

PS......I won’t fail!

LOL. The government will own all the beach homes and you will get to use one once every 10 years.

* in person school was cancelled. Wife teaching 5th grade, 1st grader and HS Junior all zooming behind me as I’m hosting a 15-person construction meeting. Effing anarchy.👌🏻😭

* Got me a food mill. Proper marinara sauce (braciole & meatballs) and mashed potatoes are on the docket for the coming week.

* Anyone know anything about Hoover Sauce?

* Rupp floor is a design abortion. 9-different fonts (typeface) styles, lack of control... it’s so easy, Mies van derRohe “less is more.”

Definitely be a Pro Fisherman! I’m already fishing that much so Marcus!
Trained bird dogs for many years so that would be another.
Would also be good at growing weed with years of experience.
Dream job would be the official p@$$y eater of Candace Swanepole....pretty sure that dream never happens:cry:

I've often wondered what I'd do if I wasn't an attorney and I think being an attorney has broken my brain to the degree I can't think of anything else that wouldn't also suck. But probably...She Hulk. TBH. I'm good with being green and jacked.

My test came back negative but lawd I've got a nasty nasty virus. Work told me stay home ten days after test day even if it was negative. At least I know I can leave the house if I really need to without feeling like a complete ******* about it?

Day 4 of quarantine and I'm climbing the walls although I still feel like death warmed over. Knocked out Rum Punch by Elmore Leonard last night (Jackie Brown's source material). I have Pronto (also Leonard) next on the queue, followed by True Crime by Andrew Klavan. I just can't concentrate on any tv shows when I feel crappy. However, this was GREAT timing for Chappelle Show to hit Netflix. book recs wanted if ya got 'em.

Something tells me that St Aug condo guys math is WAY off.

10% may be the fee for a yearlong lease, but not for short term
HOA, assessments, upkeep, utilities, insurance
Turnover/vacancy

So anywho, I wouldn’t get too carried away there.

If you're into Leonard, Carl Hiassen is a little more quirky, Florida man stuff.
Brad Thor stuff is better than Reacher as are most of the Private series by Patterson and his minions.

Turnover/vacancy? Outside of Covid we have to book almost 6-8 weeks in advance which was the case in the fall/spring/summer which we’ve gone each season. So it stays booked.

I take all of those conversations with a grain of salt, which is why I want 2. Anyone willing to “brag” about numbers is often overstating.

I also could be understating our rent as my wife tells me the cost, and lord knows she’d never lie about what she spends!

I read some Hiassen years ago and forgot about him. Good catch. Thanks!

LSU has always been #1 on the shady scale of the SEC, but I have always been suspicious of UGA.

I rarely read books anymore. The last time I was really into reading was after my grandma gave me Sick Puppy. Went on to read Stormy Weather and Nature Girl. Couldn't put any of them down.

Hello, Augusta National

Hi there Pal, this is krazykat calling from Shepherdsville. Just caught that little tournament you guys were throwing on the TV. Me and a couple buds are going to be wanting to get a round in there this week. What's your mid week rate and fyi I'll be bringing my own refreshments. I'm assuming jean shorts are ok, right?

Hello.......hello......hello?

I like that move for the Thunder. Oubre has turned into a nice player, contrary to BBdk's prediction. They should move Adams next, perhaps package him in a deal to the Warriors for the 2nd pick so they can snag Wiseman...

Much needed weekend in the woods. I don't need to kill anything anymore, but the cabin, bourbon, bullshitting, fine eating is a must. Fri night we had dove poppers, pheasant soup and fried rabbit. Sat night was wild turkey wrapped in bacon, deer steaks plus asparagus, potatoes onions etc.

Wife was college roommates and sorority sisters with Schlarmans wife. 4 young kids. I know it wasn't sudden, but just a horrible deal for a guy in his early 40's. Big job ahead for his wife LeeAnn, not sure what she is going to do.

Between that and Chris Oats, what a ****** year for the football team. I haven't posted it before, but Oats tried to commit suicide. Hence the reason for all the secrecy. Hard to imagine what could make a 20 year old with such a bright future want to do that. But prayers to him and his family.
