Just how good was singles?
Looked up the singer and he died on my 20th birthday.

hmm what informs this take?
Never heard a song of his but I’m about toJust saw where a reporter asked Sturgill if he thought about attending the CMAs. He scoffed and referred to it as a "tacky *** glitter and Botox, cake and cock pony show.”![]()
I think Sturgill is kind of a phony-*** *****.
What would make him not phony?
Aren’t you in a cult, aka Norton Commons, in the east end of Louisville?
[eyeroll]
I get the same feeling when I go to a place like Iroquois Pizza. It's the Louisville of yester year.

J Drummond any rumblings that UK game in Tuscaloosa may be moved to Dec. 12 and AL would makeup LSU game next week as that is only available date for LSU?
My firm has skybox and I had tickets for next Saturday but one of my folks said there was some chatter.
Potential hot take Inc. Grunges big 4 was better than metals. Metallica is better than all of them but is carrying a ton of water for slayer and anthrax. Megadeth gets respect knucks for its early catalog but is approaching acdc territory by coming out with the same album multiple times over the past two decades.
What does my swinging in Norton Commons have to do with Sturgill being a phony?
The team’s sports psychologist would be all over you for self-esteem issues if that was your walk-up music.“Man In The Box” would have been my walk-up music if I was in the Show.
Seems odd to me to see someone call someone else phony when they come from a town of 2,000 and do not subscribe to the glitz and glamour of current pop country, or in general, mainstream anything.
The fact that you are in Norton Commons and known as white wayne has nothing to do with him as much as it has to do with the source of calling someone else phony.
Just comes off kind of like a take from PTI, TBH.
It seems to me that Sturgill is always getting into situations where he gets asked questions about how much of an outsider he is. And then he has answers such as the cock and cake thing, which makes his fans slurp him even more. So it's a schtick, which is kind of phony. I added the ***** thing for emphasis. That was probably a little over the top.
When EVH passed, read a story about him and Fred Durst. Some record producer tried to get them to collaborate. Anyway, EVH goes to Fred’s place and gets pissed off, leaves his equipment and storms off. When he calls and tries to get his stuff back, Fred won’t answer and blows him off. Then EVH rolls up to Fred house in an assault vehicle and holds a gun to Durst’s head and makes them load his stuff up... lol
* Reading about the life and times of Eddie Van Halen over the weekend and came across this gem where he damn near slaughtered Limp Bizkit for refusing to return his guitar after a jam session...
“Eddie once bought an assault vehicle from a military auction,” Bennett writes. “It has a shine gun mount on the back and is not legal. Eddie drove that assault vehicle through L.A., into Beverly Hills, then parked and left it running on the front lawn of the house Limp Bizkit was rehearsing in. He got out wearing no shirt, his hair in a Samurai bun on top of his head, his jeans held up with a strand of rope and combat boots held together by duct tape. And he had a gun in his hand. I put my gun to that stupid f*king red hat of his, and I said, ‘Where’s my ****, motherf*ker?’![]()
I don’t get the Soundgarden love. I know Cornell could bring it vocally, but I just never liked their sound/tone. It didn’t mesh. Any song of theirs is an auto skip/change for me.
Now, the Cornell acoustic covers? That stuff is outstanding!
I don't know if "The Weekend" is a mumble rapper, a Jonas Brother, or a Gwen Stefani-type band.
"White Wayne" is a very unfair nickname
Negative. Elsmere is inferior to Erlanger, like Dayton is to Bellevue.
Weeknd is great, also real, and not music that makes you want to sit in a dark room with a needle full of heroine.
Sorry, should have stuck to my Boone/Kenton knowledge. I'll go with Crescent Springs inferiority to Villa Hills. My bad.
